2:06 - I can't say why, but I think this is Akuma's new signature quote because Taketora made Akuma sounded like "he really means it, period." For the record, "Isshun Sengeki" means "A thousand attacks in a single moment," which was poorly translated in English.
Be it Street fighter, Tekken, Marvel Vs Capcom or King of Fighters, they all sound better when played in Japanese language setting because the dialogue between players in Japanese language sounds quite intense. You don't get that feel in English language. This is simply my belief. Nothing against those who play the game with English language setting. Initially, I used to play with English language setting but then I developed love for Japanese voice-over and the love remains intact to date.🙂
Dubs are almost always a notch down in quality at least in any language. Since japanese voice actors are universally so good, the difference becomes even more apparent.
I love hearing Ryu, Ken and Akuma in Japanese language. It just sounds more authentic that way. I don't like Akuma's SF5 English dub; it was better in SF4.
Honestly, this has been on my mind for a while and I agree. I grew up hearing these characters with Japanese VA’s so it sounds much better. I’ll make some exceptions for like Cammy, Luke, and Zangief, etc. but majority of them are in Japanese for me
This is also dire from jojo, in english however xemnas voices him, and zero voices johnathan in that as well, its kinda funny how these people get around

Best Akuma voice, hands down. CVSNK2 2nd. SF3 3rd.
CVSNK2 and SF3 are actually the same voice actor.

+Mark Kim Yeah but Die 1000 Deaths still sounds epic, even though it was incorrectly translated
I mean it's not a word for word translation but an adaptation
2:06 | If you know that Akuma says ''Isshun Sengeki!'' which was translated in English known as ''Die 1,000 Deaths!''
@@kutingkutingultimate1787 I have to *REALLY* disagree with that vigorously as when I used Google Translate, it means "Instant Strike".
Lmao! The second audible is so dope. It like when he saw his favorite dish is complete.

Especially when you consider the fact that the Japanese dub is more poetic compared to English.
