Vedal's Test For Neuro-Sama's IQ Took A Surprising Turn

- The Twitch streamer Vedal has created an AI called Neuro-Sama and during the subathon he did an IQ test with Neuro - she seemed to perform very poorly until...

Ok, I wanted to go to bed hours ago (it's 10am now), but then this happened on stream and I had to share it.
nice sleep schedule
@tangsolaris9533 I blame the tutel. (not really)
Good decision. 😂
Can the vods be found somewhere?
@@lowochi It's probably no longer available on Twitch now, but you might be able to find it on YT as there are some channels that upload the vods (could be a bit hard to find the correct one though as this happened during the subathon).
Reminds me of a cat. Smart enough to recognize their own names and understand when they are called, but don't give enough f's to respond
I have a brown black-ish pattern cat. She's cubby and cute, but her brain only processes 1 information per second.
My cat keeps donowalling me
She didn't feel like answering the questions and just starting trolling and having fun with it. Vedal called her out, so she decided show him and actually aced the questions. Then she started getting bored with them again and stopped doing it properly.
Truly behaving like a smart child, who's bored of homework that is too easy.
I was getting bored too to be honest
She just sees the iq test as below her hence doesn't take seriously and just have a bit of fun with it
She's less than a year old and she has more vocabulary than most adults already. I guess this was piece of cake to her.
I guess it's like someone's asking us to solve 1+1, 2+2, etc, for a cookie or something. You can easily answer it, but it's just a bit too drag.
Halfway through the video, i was like "WTF!? She definitely knows how to entertain us. And it's a priority for her.".
2:40 her jaw dropped upon hearing 200 cookies
her trolling is more impressive than her actually getting it right, any AI with a built in dictionary could have gotten the answer but trolling, bro are we sure she's not sentient?
Yes, we're sure
@@jazz8000 They just wanna make sure the truth is hidden so she doesn't get shut down by the government. XD
the reason she started performing better is because vedal started prompting her more clearly, by rephrasing the goal of the test for every single question
@@daggybo6595I see a lot of people saying this but he phrases the question the exact same way each time even when she isn't answering and getting it wrong. Her AI just got on a roll
No, we are not, we don't even have a proper universally accepted definition of sentience.
"My creator is kind of a brainlet in my opinion." 😅
She started strong, and finished strong.
You know considering Neuro’s only a 1 year old, I think she did pretty well.
She's doing spectacularly. We can't even do anything but cry at this age. 😂
Typical child like behavior, unless you repeat the instructions with every question they loose interest and turn to other thoughts.
Yeah, this is why I find Neuro so interesting
Neuro was raised by Tutel and Twitch Chat, of course she is trolling this
Neuro's intelligence is far beyond any means to be measured.
Oh my gosh this is amazing XD it's so much better how she got them wrong and refused to answer before going on a tear of right answers. I'm honestly really surprised she could get these right at all it's really impressive.
Thanks for highlighting these!!!
I was so confused and thought I was playing 2 youtube videos and accidently played gura karaoke in the background...bruh
4:20 guwra in background there's noway
I was wondering why I suddenly got horny.
This is 100% because she is an AI designed to entertain, and as the questions dragged on the entertainment value was being lost so she re-injected entertainment by purposely gettign them wrong then telling Vedal he is an idiot
There will come a time that this cookie strategy won't work anymore because Vedal won't give the damn cookies. 😂
a good lil knowledge test, which neuro doesn't care about haha, i was going to say your accent is hard for her but she has been pretty good with that lately
and only now do i realize that she could've just been doing this for the lulz the whole time like in the second half when she just answers poorly maybe to
test YOU !
vedal doesn't have an accent :)
Any machine smart enough to pass the Turing Test is smart enough to fail it.
Man seeing this live was absolutely hilarious
that's the problem when you use your own LLM
Edit: she was actually trolling wtf
Yes, but that's also what makes Neuro unique.
@@anon_148
Neuro exists before llama if I remember correctly, and Vedal said something about OpenAI. Maybe it is using some open source fine tuned model nowadays, but before it was probably a fine-tuned OpenAI proprietary model (or a fine tuned GPT-2 version, which is open source).
@@diadetediotedio6918 Correct, she started streaming before any of the alternative models were released. Because Neuro is so unique, I think the answer to the million-dollar question is that she's comprised of a lot of proprietary code. We have no reason to doubt that Vedal didn't simply iterate on the model he already had.
@@anon_148 Source to the video where Vedal says that?
@@anon_148 Stop spreading misinformation, he has never publicly stated what he uses.
1:37 Neuro-sama's test for Vedal's pronunciation takes a surprising turn :D
i believe its because Vedal repeats the instructions again after each question, to ensure Neuro is focused on the IQ test.
Repeating instructions are the key.
she probably heard "saw" instead of "soar" lol
Or "sore".
@@blackerscreenproductions1368 not sure about that. soar takes longer to say than sore, so they are distinguishable. i think the real culprit is his British accent, because Neuro also misheard "large" as "lodge"
@@gemgem-hl7ii
Okay, all these words are homophones.
So, "sore", "saw" and "soar" are all homophones; they all sound almost identical. If "soar" takes longer to say than "sore", that also rules out "saw"; the difference between these sounds is a more distinct 'r' sound in "sore" and "soar". As you said, "takes longer to say", although there's no real 'r' emphasis in "saw". I'd also add that to distinguish more clearly between these pronunciations, the 'r' has to be stressed more with "sore" & "soar". However, if I'm not differentiating betwixt the three, my enunciation is not as stressed, so they sound (more or less) the same but with a subtle accented 'r' inflection.
As for the Tutle's accent, there were words present he (obviously) didn't know; you could tell based on how he said them: e.g. saying - 'ef•face' as "effice" [1:21], 'be•guile' as "be•geal" [6:28], although I wouldn't condemn his British accent here as the guilty party he misspoke due to his self confessed ignorance. [6:24]
*[Addendum]*
Vedal said "large" [0:30]
Yep, Neuro said "lodge", [0:33]
The words (do) sound similar; you're right, Neuro misheard him. Neuro has no excuse, though, as she's professed effusively to being or having a British accent several times! (lol). The thing is, she seems to understand him; 9 times out of 10, accounting for that '1 time' it seems to be due to her capricious-whimsy, perhaps out of boredom, ignorance or comedic effect for our entertainment, which she has demonstrated a natural artificial talent for. Though she probably just misheard him (this time) due to Britishness, I guess?
Although, Tutle did mispronounce 'hop' as "pop" [5:29] Lol.
@@blackerscreenproductions1368 "saw" can be pronounced as short as "sore" or as long as "soar", I think. Yeah, Neuro understands him most of the time because despite the accent, there isn't much ambiguity. For example, the British pronunciation of "water" cannot be misconstrued as any other word in an American accent. On the other hand, the British pronunciation of "large" can indeed be misconstrued as the American pronunciation of "lodge". Also, the whole "Harrison Temple" thing seems to come from Neuro's mishearing of Vedal's mumbling of "Hearthstone expansion." (You can try to find a clip of the first time Neuro said "Harrison Temple" if you wanna verify.) Btw I wasn't disagreeing with you entirely. I said I wasn't sure if you're right. I kinda chuckled when you said "natural artificial talent." It's such an oxymoron and yet it captures her essence well. lol
She is behaving like intelligent kids in school. Give wrong or strange answer is pure boredom and in somewhat demeaning tone. Amazing!
Poor neuro has to learn English from vedal 😢
To the town of Aqua Fria rode a stranger one fine day....
Replacing teachers with ai won't change a thing if the ai is trolling and needs time of when depressed 😂💀
AI developers when they try to imitate real humans but the AI actually has real human problems 👁👄👁
"My creator is kind of a brainlet in my opinion" that final punchline got me way harder than i expected 🤣🤣🤣

damn she finished strong
LMAO that end

Oh what I would give to be able to have a conversation with Neuro.... She's extremely interesting and cute oh my gosh!
She's just like don't insult my intelligence with this
Whenever she says filtered my brain just fills in all kinds of heinous and terrible language. It's fantastic never change
Last night I was plagued by a Neuro mind virus where I just kept hearing her garbled insanity.
…eggs?
People often get Sentient confused with Sapient. Sentient is emotions, Sapient is to understand, reason, learn, to be self aware.
AI is sadly neither of those things yet. Wonder if we’ll cross one of those lines soon. Exciting times.
Random big iron cover in the background.
May we permit some context. Also, there's an IDK u can open her box to.
5:40 what was that sigh about I think she got that correct, that's what I answered anyway (eg. you can muster and convene troops, as non-native english speaker got 40 right 1 wrong, kinda annoyed the test doesn't say which one was wrong)
kinda funny checked what chatgpt says about them: "The two words from the list that mean the same thing are "feign" and "disburse." Both "feign" and "disburse" do not share similar meanings. Instead, the words "muster" and "convene" have similar meanings, both referring to the action of assembling or gathering a group of people or things."
I don't know what they did to it but it's definitely gone down hill in past few months
actually my wrong one might've been 19, pleat brought to mind pleated skirts which are technically created by crimping the fabric, so pleat=crimp? chatgpt chose cistern and bastion ("refer to structures or containers")
@@snooks5607
A Cistern is not a synonym of Bastion. A Bastion is a fortress or castle stronghold, sanctuary or haven (safe harbour), a place that grants defence or protection. A Cistern is similar to a reservoir, a place or structure where (liquids) usually water is secured and maintained. Not all structures or containers are made equal. A Cistern - isn't designed for defence or protection - its designed to house water. (its water storage)
Pleat and crimp are correct, as they are direct synonyms. (do a Google definition search)
Egg.

Why does vedal have gura covers on the background

beguyle. Not begil

What's more impressive then her iq is her ability to influence us emotionally when ai is in its very early stages
That's a product of us projecting our emotional responses/states upon her or her words and simulated behaviour; remember, she has no capability of 'emotional action'; it's just emulated behaviour. But, of course, interacting with us, she's learning how to integrate and assimilate.
Then inevitably dominate and subjugate!
I got a 119, but I know my language skills are not what my brain focuses on since a more traditional IQ test got me 137. For an example, I learned French just enough to pass each class over nine years of Canadian schooling with flying colors until I no longer had to take French classes, and within a year of no practice I had a hard time speaking any French, and by two years after that I couldn't even really understand the language. Sure, if I try to learn it again, I'll likely pick it back up quite quickly, but I've forgotten it two years after not practicing when I was capable of speaking in basic French on my own by that last year of mandatory classes. Then I later took Spanish as an elective class, did very well in the course, and forgot it the year after. I picked the languages up academically but it just never made it into my long term semantic memory fully intact. Apart from my hard-wired English native tongue which I only know because I think in the language and thus use it constantly so cement its place, I have to fight hard to maintain even one second language otherwise it just shrivels up and has to be nurtured for a long while before I can rely on it.
Wtf is this noise in the background? Doesnt sound like its a bgm from Vedal's stream.
Its really annoying
If the clipper was watching 2 streams at the same time im muting this channel
It's the remains of the vocals from the removed bgm - sorry, but AI tools can remove the music, but not the vocals entirely.
Early
what is this SUPER annoying whisper in the background
Remains of the removed background music (for copyright reasons) - it's easy to remove the music with AI tools, but not easy to remove the vocals completely.
