We Are Bulletproof pt 2 was their second single from their first album. This was their sound. RM, Suga, and the rest of the members and agency had been working on this sound for 2-3 years before this point. As they progress and get older, those songs, in their various styles, were their sound. The songs reflect where they were at each of those moments. The members have a wide range of musical influences. They are willing to experiment and try new things. Look at Suga, he had mad respect for OG rappers, but he also was a fan of a variety of musicians, including Ryuichi Sakamoto. Sakamoto is most famous for his music scores in movies such as Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (Staring David Bowie) and The Last Emperor. Suga was able to collab with Mr. Sakamoto shortly before his death on the song Snooze.
Well before their logo was the open doors, it was a bulletproof vest, and their name (Bangtan Sonyeondan) means bulletproof boy scouts, so a few of their earlier works had guns/gun sounds incorporated.
About how hard their early stuff was, BTS knew what they were debuting into. They knew in the world of the big three (agencies) that they were coming in as the underdog. They had to come in ready to fight for their spot. It was never a matter of IF they could conquer, but WHEN. Since they knew they had the talent, team, and work ethic. They just needed a way to be seen. That scared many other players in the industry. Their statement was made, their dues paid, and now they get to enjoy life at the GLOBAL top. Be the standard all others try to match. I think if all baby armys educated themselves and truly understood everything the boys and their staff have been through from the start, we'd have a lot less weird solo stans rallying for their fav to leave the group or haters trying to pull people into their parade of petty. They'd realize their words only hurt the guys when they see that crap trending online. That behavior is what differentiates a fan from ARMY. 💜
The hat trick is only done in We Are Bulletproof Pt2 and the one where they throw cards is the Grammy performance of Butter. They were originally a hip hop group but thankfully they switched up into different genres which means they have something for everyone. You can’t pigeonhole BTS.
BTS debuted in 2013, the 13th june. The first few eras were exploring, and more hiphop like - as others said, they were supposed to be a hiphop group. Bang PD-nim saw RM and said, “He needs to debut and be on stage!” - and so BTS was built. 11 years in the making and they are one of the best idols anyone could ever have 💜
In RM's part, you missed the word play he was saying "Impossible, there's a period in it. I'm . possible (impossible)" I dunno I'm crazy over the wordplay they use, it is next level. Sometimes it's so subtle, yet makes you think, wow, now that was witty as hell! LOL
You are correct on that. During the first few years they were a hip hop group not so much an idol group. But Bang ShiHyuk set up a music camp where they learned to write songs, all of them. They also learned how to produce a song, Suga became an engineer as well. The vocalist took lessons and the rappers learned the dreaded dance world. They were encouraged to write lyrics come up with melodies, even if it was just a hook, or chorus everything was taken into Bang ShiHyuk and the other producers and they would meld the pieces into songs. So then you would get RM doing the lyrics, Suga producing, Jimin writing the melody or V completing a section of a song. Each of them has gotten credit for these things maybe not on paper at first but within the group they all relied on each other and they became what everyone knows as BTS today.
@@JackInTheBox0294Jimin is well know for his melodies, the members have said he’s amazing at it. He came up with the main melody for BS&T as well as others. There’s a reason why PDOGG listens to everything Jimin does in the studio because he’ll just start humming or playing something out of nowhere

Okay about that gun first about the real one. They never held a gun it was stock video, guns are illegal to own in Korea. But as they were called Bangtan Sonyandan BTS they would say they were there to protect the youth from the bullets that came their (the kids) way bullets like violence, expectations and bullying. Thus you see a wall of BTS members that the kids can stand behind and BTS will protect them from the bullets. Second the hand that looks like a gun that was for a time the way they showed that they were bulletproof. Because the members protected youth as if they are standing their protecting those that stand behind. About some of the lyrics. Some of the agencies would expose the groups to the kids by going out to clubs where kids hung out and then they would do a mini showcase. BTS did not have that kind of clout. They worked hard on their dancing and singing and rapping instead of going to clubs. Again in those other agencies they would hold contests and if you could dance and you were pretty, then you were allowed to audition. Then they would train you on dancing, singing, and speaking proper Korean maybe a second language like Chinese, Japanese or English. If you couldn't sing then you became a rapper and they would teach them how to talk fast and make them a rapper. They would not write their own raps rather a producer would write the entire song and a rapper would pick up the lyrics from a manager and practice the rap and learn the dance and done. That was what Suga was referring to when he said if you can't sing then they make you a rapper.

A good one to watch after this one is "We are Bulletproof: The Eternal" it is on BangtanTV and was a FESTA present to ARMY.
Did he watch "no more dream", "spring day", "not today" with "boy with luv"?
Yes as i know so far LD watched apeing day plus explanation as well @@JackInTheBox0294
While it's one of our favorites he needs to watch a little more to really get it. I know he hasn't done Blood Sweat and Tears yet. Just an opinion.
@@japnkc1101yes, and It doesn't take long after this to feel nostalgic
@jackcomeback1758 ... Yes he's done all of those.
Have you watch danger mo blues mix
Great recommendation
He definitely should cuz he hasn't seen it yet I'm pretty sure.
@@ArmyStay4ever78 all real ARMY have to watch danger mo blue remix, japan versions of their MVs, their predebut videos, bangtan b*mbs(not edits, original videos or with traslations from BANGTANSUBS channel), behind the scenes of their MVs
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉😊
If you get a chance I think you will Really likes BTS live call room is very good video
Great reaction as always!!

They were originally a hiphop group and tbh it’s still very much a part of who they are, just not as in your face as it used to be 😅
You should check out American Hustle Life. It's a pre-debut(?) reality show they did where they came to L.A. and learned about hip-hop, gospel and rap from Coolio & Warren G and others. Then put on a free concert! It's hilarious! 8 episodes, I think.
Какой прекрасный прыжок был у Чимина.
You've now seen two of their earliest songs - have you seen "N.O"? If not, please react to that MV, and then watch the "concept trailer" for this era th-cam.com/video/q87bQS0ITWc/w-d-xo.html (and the dance practice, if you like th-cam.com/video/m7QNUWXoO_s/w-d-xo.html) and then, for good measure, the Intro Performance Trailer ("intro" in this case means the dance battle portion that they did before singing one of their songs) th-cam.com/video/S1Up-ZzHmuw/w-d-xo.html. You'll love it, guaranteed. 😊
First comment again! ❤

Remember, the USA is the only country with gun culture, so they are not as awful as they are here.
