Only the real OG’s went back in time to see this again.

Thanks for teaching me how to change all the oils on my non existent super car! Love your videos and keep up the good work!
same!!
This is why i love youtube, it gives you a window into ownership of your favorite/dream car
I've done all the fluids as well. There is a setting in the ECU that needs to be reset in order for maintenance minder to not alert you to change those fluids. I can't recall the software that does this but I got a copy online as well as a USB to OBD connector and reset the miles on those service items.
You’re a legend. Always learning and never afraid.
Also, you do not need to remove that stiffening plate, you just have to remove the rear bumper and diffuser. Also need to remove both rear fender inner liners as there are a couple of hidden bolts in there. Like I said you don’t need to remove that steel stiffening plate, that is why they used weird bolts. There will be a lot of oil splash on the top of that plate, just spend a lot of time cleaning with rags and brake clean.
You can completely stop the rust on the hub by adding the brake grease used for the back of the pads on the hub. I Do the same on my Evo X and have for years to keep it from rusting/sticking.
Thats what i did the other day
More videos like this please. Love to see the DIY on the NSX
Deja vu.
Love how u make it look easy! Wheels look amazing. I dont know why but not have the "A" on the back is killing me.
Super good job!! These cars are easy to work on as long as you have the right tools and patience. Great job doing your research and getting this done for bobby
That powdercoat color is sick! Super dope finish. Crazy that you couldn't get a straight answer for the maintenance costs.
Never seen your channel so when I first started watching and seeing you try to get thru the dealer for simple fluid changes I didnt think of you much, but than a short drive to the shop, 2 post lift and first tire change - you got my attention. Way to go man, screw the dealerships!!! Unbelievable how we the people have to work around their schedule, so they think!! Awesome work, too bad your girl only cared about her drink holder tho hahahahahahahahah
Wheels look sick! Some proper work done and saved a huge amount of money while doing so!
More videos like these pls , this car is rare to see on my side of the world cuz of the price people would skip it for a Porsche but I’m curious as to why , I guess the answer is getting clearer and clearer thx to your videos
When u talk to a main dealer and the bint can’t even string a sentence together, sure go ahead and beat on my wheels.😂
I’m a diesel mechanic of 43 years and all I do is swear and knock my head on old oily shit.your a calm dude
Great job getting it done Devin! Would be interesting to see what the dealer would have charged for doing this maintenance. Wheels look great!
Am I going crazy or I saw you uploaded this video yesterday?
No yesterday he had a black screen it was an update video
This was definitely posted yesterday but I think there was an issue with part of the video.
It was posted yesterday.
Thought I was going crazy cuz I swear I saw this episode yesterday, so I jumped to the comments hoping I wasn't the only one lol😅
Yeah it was but it had the phone call bit missing and it was 2-3 mins of blank screen then it went back to dev in the car talking again and the rest of the video, I watched it then went to comment and the video was gone.
That powder coat came out insane!! Sheesh!!👌🏽🔥🔥🫡
I’m surprised you didn’t change the brake fluid at the same time, hybrids have complex braking systems and brake fluid is normally a time based maintenance not a mileage based change interval, every 2-3 years is recommended. I’ve started using the new Bosch brake fluid that’s rated for 3 years just to give me a bit of a safety margin. I cant imagine what the calipers and brake pump control unit for one of those must cost. Ceramic coating the wheels should be on the list just like your other cars. I’ve also started ceramic coating the tires with the gyeon quartz tire cleaner and sio2 coating. Keeps the tires looking good for months.
Man its pretty cool to see some work on a new nsx!
Most car enthusiast never go back to the stealership for anything. Do it all yourself: save time, money, and feel proud/accomplished. Only thing I'd want from dealer is part #'s/fluid specs, then find aftermarket alternatives
All of that is null and void if you only want OEM stuff on your car 🤣
Craftsmanship embodied here
Sounds good, I would put money that has a set of SOS down pipes/cats. My factory stock 17 NSX doesnt sound that good.
they’re torx plus external sockets i had to get them off my mac dealer for a fb25, cam gears. starting to notice them being on newer vehicles.
the best pads ive found work and last were ferodo ds2500 i had lots of fade using brembro pads
You were living dangerously banging on that wheel without any lug nuts at least loosely attached. That could have easily dropped down and chipped your ceramic brake disc handling it like that. Would have added about $8-10k to your brake job. If the dealer had made that mistake the cost would have been on them. Sometimes doing the work yourself just creates more expense and could easily have been the case with what I was witnessing during this DIY.
FYI, that TMU is exactly the same as what is in the rear of a Hybrid MDX with SH-AWD.
Those are the tires I run on my Subaru. I like them.
Straight GAS!! ⛽️⛽️⛽️
Looks excellent
Sometimes you gotta take matters into your own hands. I do all the maintenance on my car.
Typically repair shops I hate shops I rather do myself if I know how to do
No oil change? I saw on LHT performance that the NC1 have like 7 oil drain bolts or something lol
Man… it must just be an Acura service department thing. I’ve owned a 2013 TSX and a 2016 ILX and any time I had to deal with the dealership’s service department, they were horrible experiences filled with a bunch of bull shit and lies.
this car looks bit out of place on that lift xD but kudos for doing it yourself. Bet the job is done better than dealer would have
Started watching your video cuz the Evo..love the vids
Ahhhh the missing minutes of the NSXgate files
I think I might be able to see the future because I think I saw this yesterday or maybe dreamt. Either ways am watching it again I think
Devin, becareful when you remove the wheels not to damage the brake rotors, they can easily crack and if they do, they are toasted.... each one costs about 2000$
How bout a NSX vs. one of your built cars race?
That dealership needs to revamp their service/parts department..
pity you haven't got vented alloy under shield , for these cars. they're lighter plus they take away heat from underside . Some are made for G35 .
No but this is a serious issue with mechanics now a days. You request a quote to find a good shop and base not only their customer service but see if they want to inspect the car first before they do anything. But at least there is communication.
The amount of dealerships now a days who don’t even call back when you request a quote, or when you go in say they can’t fit anything into their schedules. Had an 08 335i I was looking to get the clutch, and flywheel replaced as mine was going out and I didn’t have a lift. 30 mechanic shops contacted and only 6 got back to me saying I’ll get a quote soon. Only 1 actually gave me a quote after 3 months.
Clean up and Put some grease on that hub for the wheel and it wont get stuck next time. Because it will happen again if its dry.
I'm a big boss take a vacuum tip make thread bolt like the 3/8 head then pull it threw I think make sure there are not any thing that can be damaged then the rest will drain out 11:44
Devin who is name color for brake calipers??? Very nice car and job.
I 'd love to see a future gt widebody on this car in the future.
HOLY SHIT those wheels came out 🔥🔥👨🚒👨🚒
They probably arent used to people caring about maintenence cost for a supercar so they likely didnt want to give you an itemized cost. Probably wouldve been ridiculous and they wouldve likely not completed the job to your liking. If you have the time to learn to do something yourself, its almost always better to learn yourself and do it right
Honestly I think the back of all the newer NSXs need a wing. It just seems like something’s missing.
Repost?
I have a 2014 R35 and i do all the work myself, the nissan dealer is a complete rip off, they wanted almost 500 bucks for an alignment lmao, i dont have carbon ceramic rotors but i managed to do my pads and rotors and ss lines for around 1800 bucks, i got endless mx72 pads and some slotted rotors but keeping the hats, the dealer wanted over 4k for some oem replacements, now for tires thats always going to be between 1500-2000 per set, and for me thats a yearly expense since i daily the car. oil changes are cheap and easy to do, i spend around 50 bucks for a oem filter and some Walmart Mobil 1 0w40, now for the transmission flush, thats usually 300 in oil and but i drop the pan so i can change the filters thats another 200 bucks, this gets done every 36k miles but i do it every 18k, either way the dealer will charge you around 2k for this and this is without removing the pan and just flushing the oil. something that you can do in about an hour.
Well done brother
To answer your Lamborghini question the 5.2L V10 in a Huracan has 8 drain plugs to change just the oil, so I would say the NSX is definitely easier.
Get rid of that gaudy color on the calipers and go with a black or color to match the car
My co worker who is a master mechanic at the dealership I worked at told me that one side for a brake job is about $2500
What about an oil change?
this is beyond awesome we need more nsx content lol
Beautiful video 🙌🏼 nice freaking car 🔥
Great work Sir
I’ve literally watched yesterday 😂😂😂
should look into stud conversion
Time for an exhaust for the NSX
Hello, I would like to know where to get that oil filling pump and the lamp???
Hey mate when you going to start back on the grey Lancer Evo
Wait!! I’m tripping too, no oil change?
Saw this already yesterday ? It had a part blacked out in the beginning. The rest was the same.
What a sweet car. Love to ride in one someday
Acura overcharges as a premium for maintenance. Don't take it there. I had a TL and was like, nope!
Why would they need a NSX-specific technician to quote the cost of materials and labour that should already be defined in the “book” aka Honda tech stream thingy whatever they call it now.
Im Confused....i swore i watched this yesterday😂
Same
Same
It is not an E Torx? Maybe not e Torx have a more sharp style edge compared to that, it looks more round.
Am I trippin or did I watch you powder coat the wheels change the brake pads and change the fluids yesterday ?
the brass turns the light on the dash on
Shit I thought my life was on repeat!🤣
Noticed nobody is talking about it but what’s that static noise coming from?
If it looks like a rounded Torx it should be Torx-Plus bolt
Instantly clicked
This is the way
Same
Same
It's the same vid as yesterday.
@@derekdok i know, but still watching it again ))))
we're here boys
Is it just me or does the rear tire (16:34) look too small? Is that a 305/30R20?
Nice car brother
great car to have matzaball soup
The engine oil has like 7 drains too.
The only thing that matters is cup holders lol
@devin been here since the genny, wish I had this connection with my wife. Best to ya. Make Bobby work and drive her Nsx. My goal for 2025 is to buy my wife 2 yr old mx5 to replace 2007 nc mx5. Best to ya and anyone that comes across this comment.
What happened to the f80 ?
That was a rental. They were thinking about buying one but didn’t
Oh wow 🥲
What powder gun are you using?
Time to run Bader at the track with his Lambo
now it just needs some coilovers
Thousands of dollars in maintenance and new tires and paint !! Where's my cup holder??? smh
Car that needs mainatance on a daly basis, is going to get expensive quick lol
I love this car
Cancer agent boss in and on your hands 8:58
Need an alignment cuz 16:37
good vid 💯
No brake fluid flush?!
4:35 always use a towel to cover brake caliper and rotor when you remove wheels to avoid damage if the wheel slip from you hands
The Japanese use a different torx bit.
Dameee i was waiting on a new video :(
