I love the way he described why Anakin would fall in love with Padme 5:25. It was so eloquently said. I wish he had gotten to help write some of the dialogue 😅 I don’t think George Lucas understood how to write romantic exchanges very well. Still appreciate the prequels, and I love the story. I just think a little more refinement in the dialogue would have made them epic.
@@joannap8769the awkwardness of the dialogues were meant to be that way. You've got a young boy who's never talked or interacted with girls in a romantic manner while we have a queen that's also never acted romantically with anyone in the past (I'm guessing) so it is actually quite natural for them to be awkward and say cringy stuff

@@miniaturejayhawk8702 No it's not. There's things that are inherently evil, like rape, genocide, etc. You're mixing up "evil" with what constitutes "freedom"
I dont see why Christensen gets that great deal of negative criticism. This Anakin, slowly drifting to the dark side, is great. Loosing temper (first when they question the changeling), crying, slaughtering a village, "I burn the world if you say something now" look in his eyes when carrying his dead mom, questioning orders and hierarchy etc etc etc. He acts good
Renáta Béres Well the problem I had was that Anakin didn’t really FALL to the dark side. He sorta just mildly slid. He was already pretty fucked up from the beginning and never the hero Obi-Wan described in Episode 4. Anakin was supposed to be the greatest Jedi ever who tragically fell to the dark side. But we didn’t get that.
@@waterh20 well watch clone wars its basically anakin's prime in episode 2 he was still a padawan and at the beginning of episode 3 you can see that hes somewhat a better jedi overall than obi wan

I've recently marathoned all the movies and I really don't get why people don't like Anakin's little speech about sand. I really didn't think it was bad at all.
+Michael McGrath I don't think it was pointless. He just doesn't like sand because he lived on a planet with sand everywhere for most of his life, being a slave with hard labour as well. I also think it's interesting because Luke was hidden on a planet with sand, somewhere Darth Vader would not want to be.
Michael McGrath If Anakin's pick up line that got him a kiss and advanced the love plot was stupid and pointless then Leia kissing Luke in The Empire Strikes Back is sure as hell stupid and pointless, not to mention incestuous.
+Baigandine L well he hasn't been in contact with a girl all his life. hes been a slave. and he does have a huge crush on her so he will be nervous around her
@Weinstein Cosby Oh no no no no! she's so beautifull, physically and internally, I don't find her "aged", she looks like her own age or even more younger, she has a natural beauty besides her talent. That's is your opinion if you don't see her beautiful anymore, actually everyone has different pointview of beauty.
I love that their love story has backstory. They’re not just “met and felt in love at a first sight”. Their story began way earlier than their love story did
@@shelleywantiez7964I'm just gonna say it. Their love story is better than Han and Leia. I mean WHAT love story did Han and Leia even have? They fought all through a new hope, and then in empire all of a sudden they love each other. No rhyme or reason. At least Ani and Padme spent TIME with each other.
@@KoolKeithProductions I completely agree, I prefer Anakin and Padmé for similar reasons. In all honesty, before I knew Luke and Leia were siblings, I was hoping they'd get together instead because they had a nice foundation of friendship first. To me, it felt like Han was just an asshole the whole time (in 4 and 5) and I didn't like him much at first. I think it would've helped a lot more if we were shown more scenes of Han and Leia just getting along and having a nice, fun rapport with one another without any expectation of romance. Probably an extremely unpopular opinion though. 😶
The 'Across the Stars' score is what gets me every time I watch AOTC... it's a masterpiece, something we've taken for granted when they come form John Williams. It successfully encapsulates the raw passion and also somehow manages to foreshadow the tragedy to come in episode III. Truly my favorite score of all time
It actually hurts me. Like, i have a boyfriend for almost two years now, but everytime i hear Across the stars, i feel like my boyfriend is the one who fell to the dark side, not Anakin... 😂😂😂 Even worse is that in our relationship, hes more emotionally stable, meaning id be more susceptible to falling to the dark side if we were jedi 😂😂😂 Can you see how ridiculously this score makes me feel XD
Disney Star Wars killed it all. I dont consider those as canon. George Lucas vision SW 1 - 6 is Star Wars. 7, 8, and 9 is just some crap that Disney put together to cater to feminists, sjws, and the minorities.
@@RockstarDoc7 like you said- watching 1-6 is an epic poem. Honestly, I love the prequels. They develop Anakin, Obi Wan, and the Emperors charcaters beautifully. The prequels slowly show why and how Anakin becomes Darth Vader; how Obi Wan becomes Ben Kenobi; how Palpatine becomes the Emperor. And on top of it all, the character development (although definitely the character development being affected by the other characters) of the 3 key characters is largely based on the relationship between each other. Of course, there are flaws in the prequels. They shouldve been directed by Spielberg (if you ask me) and had some of the dialogue edited, but when looking at the whole picture of how the prequels actually fit so beautifully, I personally see these flaws as small in comparison to that big picture.
True. I actually grew up watching them in order first. Maybe watched 4...then 1, 2, 3 and so on. Weird chronology I know but the prequels got unnecessary hate.
Man you can see the chemistry between those two...it isn't just acting ,there is more...I think especially Natalie Portmann had a real crush on Hayden and this made this relationship special...And she enjoys the acting and she liked his physical appearance ;) I LOVE the prequels and TCW
Jack Kelly Carrie Fisher was always average at best. Mark Hamill was very handsome in A New Hope; his looks changed quite a bit due to a bad car accident before filming Empire Strikes Back.
The love was actually more realistic Anikan doesn't have any experience talking to women except his mom and those kids. Han Solo has probley had experience talking to women he may have even had a girlfriend.
general grievous In a deleted scene in ANH he was smooching with sum female. In the no longer canon EU he had a few "lady friends". In the new canon he haves/had an ex-wife.
“ if evil can love than what is evil? If love makes you human.” She caught Darth Vader in a phrase. The way she talks is enchanting, you can totally tell that she has a passion for reading. I love Natalie Portman omg 🥲
@PurplenightJenkins Natalie Portman said that she was lucky a director friend of hers hired her after SW because apparently no studio wanted to work with her thinking she was a bad actress. That's really sad. Actors just do as they're told.
My roommate, who doesn't like action scenes very much, is currently watching Star Wars with me and she is super invested, because she is super invested in Anakin and Padme and their relationship. So I think they really did a good job in capturing all audiences.
i don't care what people say about Hayden and Natalie's acting skill. I just care how much they look cute and gorgeous together . Hayden is a fucking handsome guy and Natalie...she is ....a goddess. Love this couple soooooooo much.... :)))))
Never had an issue with the love story in AOTC. It's the way it is for a reason, Anakin isn't some charismatic guy who can get any woman he wants. He's far from that, he's flawed and he has social issues such as social anxiety. It honestly baffles me how many people don't get why the love story is the way it is, it's common sense. I understood it at the age of 6 so it's embarrassing how grown men couldn't comprehend that Anakin has social issues and has a hard time socializing with Padme because of it. To all the nitpicky Prequel haters, use your brain before assuming it's the worst thing you've ever witnessed.
This is the best thing I've heard anyone say about the Prequels and I think its the best. No one is replying on your comment because there is so many people out there who don't understand the purpose of a MOVIE. A movie is to entertain, not for critics to judge its very aspect to the core. They look too much at the smallest details and it is very odd to me. You have your opinion and that is what should matter to you
Additionally, it draws inspiration from love stories from ye olden days which had hammy dialogue. It's also more interesting than your standard "hot guy is super suave and gets all the women" characters you see in a lot of media today
Ironically, even though Attack of the Clones was the love story, their chemistry was so much more solid in Revenge of the Sith. Probably due to some distractingly awkward lines in Episode II. At the very least, Hayden got the "inner conflict" bit to come through in Episode II, despite the script.
Gretel Yeah, that was awful. I can even understand his complaints about sand more than that line. (I mean seriously, it is coarse and irritating, when it gets in the wrong places, lol. And it really does get everywhere, like glitter. You'll be finding that stuff in your car and in your home for a few days after going to the beach.) George Lucas gave him such creepy, stalkerish lines with Padmé at first. Initially, she even responds to his awkward hitting on her with Uhmm... No.
+Starwarsrap1 fuck you, the prequels were not as bad as everyone says, however they are most certainly not the best! Nothing beats the original trilogy
The composition for their love story is a masterpiece. It awakes the hidden feeling. It is so sad that it already says that it is a sad love story. By heart is breaking.
I don’t understand why everyone says that Christensen has a squeaky voice? it’s not so, I love his voice, he is very beautiful, I can’t stop listening to him
Such an underrated love story. I actually love their dialogue..it makes sense given the context of the first movie and lack of female interaction anakin has
George Lucas: Padmé is the more mature one. Meanwhile Natalie: Padmé thinks Anakin's hot; he's such a badboy, lol. Hayden: Anakin finds Padmé really attractive because of the strong person she is.
There's a deep maturity in acknowledging the shallowness we hold. If Anakin was completely honest, he's actually in love because she's the most beautiful woman he's met. That's all it, really. Whereas Padme actually does fall for the good she sees in him. If she only loved him for his look, she wouldn't have her heart broken by him turning evil
If you're referring to the fireplace scene, that was what they were going for. They depicted courtly love very well. You can compare the entire conversation to a medieval love story. On this Padme/Anakin website, there's an essay with an entire section on it.
don't care what anyone says, they are a great couple. if you see Hayden/Natalie interact there is chemistry between them. the terrible dialogue and bad directing ruined something that had so much potential.
+Mallika Banerjee Ok, you brought it up, now please give examples. What terrible dialogue and bad directing? You just said that if one watches Hayden/Natalie interact there is chemistry between them. That can not be see without hearing them speak the lines as that is part of seeing their chemistry.
+TheRivrPrncess For starters the now infamous sand line: Padme: We used to come here for school retreat. We would swim to that island every day. I love the water. We used to lie out on the sand and let the sun dry us and try to guess the names of the birds singing. Anakin: I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth. After this line, he touches her back and they kiss. The dialogue doesn’t further the story nor teach us about the characters. There was really no need for dialogue here and no reason he needed to touch her. They share a look, they kiss, the end...that's all it needed. In contrast a scene I really liked between them was when they are in field talking about politics: P: You really don’t like politicians, do you? A: I like 2 or 3...but I’m not really sure about one of them.(both laugh)I don’t think the system works. P: How would you have it work? A: We need a system where the politicians sit down and discuss the problem… agree what’s in the best interest of all people… and then do it. P: That’s exactly what we do. The trouble is that people don’t always agree. A: Well, then they should be made to. P: By whom? Who’s going to make them?& A: I don’t know. Someone. P: You? A: Of course not me. P: But someone. A: Someone wise. P: Sounds an awful lot like a dictatorship to me. A: Well, if it works. P: You’re making fun of me. A: (laughs) No, I’d be much too frightened to tease a senator. In this scene we see them talk about something that is important to Padme. We learn what they agree and disagree on. The dialogue serves to connect the characters and the scene helps drive their friendship. Other scenes that feel forced: -When Padme is packing and Anakin complains about Obi Wan. -Fireplace scene where Padme says they can’t be together. -When Anakin tells Padme how he slaughtered the Tusken raiders. -When Padme says she loves Anakin after they captured on Geonosis. These scenes just make the characters seem angsty and over dramatic. Other scenes that naturally established Anakin/Padme’s relationship: -When Anakin explains how Jedi are not allowed to have attachments. -Anakin meets Padme’s family (deleted scene) -After Anakin has a vision of his mother dying. -When Padme hugs Anakin before he goes to off to find his mother. These scenes are more subtle in showing how the characters do have an attraction towards each other and why there would be some tension between them.
+Mallika Banerjee But his reply about how he doesn't like sand is because he is from a desert planet and in Star Wars: A New Hope Luke said he wanted to get away from there. He is in love with Padme, so his comment about everything there being soft and smooth led him to touch her and for them to kiss. The dialogue helps us to see that both father and son felt the same about where they lived, how they are alike. Regarding the scenes you mentioned that, according to you, feel forced, both Anakin and Padme are still young people and young people are sometimes angsty and over dramatic, aren't they? I do not know what you mean by the scenes feeling forced. To me Anakin's complaints about Obi Wan lets us see that he is beginning to resist proper training and wanting to do things his own way. We can see him already going down the path to the dark side of the force. Padme tries to help him do what is right. With the fireplace scene, Padme is just telling him why she feels she can't commit to a relationship with him and he tries to convince her why they can and should. For those of us who feel their relationship is not wrong and that it was a mistake for the Jedi to forbid marriage, this scene has a lot of important things to say. The scene where Anakin tells Padme how he slaughtered the Tusken raiders-what was wrong with that? This shows up the rage that Anakin has inside him, how he has not learned to control his emotions and correctly use his feelings for good. Again, this further shows how he is into what he wants to do and that is how he uses his feelings. He has been trained to use feelings and emotions for good and that negative emotions and feelings must be controlled and not used for bad or selfish reasons. His conversation with Padme really hurt me because I could see how Anakin is slowly losing his way. When Padme says she loves Anakin after they are captured on Geonosis-This is a lovely, romantic scene and it is like the love scenes of old movies. Take a look at the Jennifer Jones movies, Portrait of Jennie and Love Letters. Both had wonderful lines which some today call corny, but they are not. In this scene Padme is finally not afraid to admit her love for Anakin as she should. The scenes you say naturally established Anakin/Padme's relationship are a compliment to the scenes you say are forced. One can not exist without the other.
+Mallika Banerjee Can anyone please explain to me what was so "terrible" about the dialogue?? As far as I´m concerned, the whole love strory worked pretty well, they had great chemistry, and apart from one single line at the fireplace ("I wish that I could wish away my feelings") I liked the dialogue as well. The scene out in the fields is fantastic (Natalie Portman is truly behaving like someone being in love), and I really like their scenes on Geonosis as well. And yes, I know that you don´t like sand!
+TheRivrPrncess The majority of Star Wars fans prefer the Han/Leia love story over Anakin/Padme; but I genuinely think Anakin/Padme are the better couple. To me it just felt like all the pieces were there, just not executed well. I guess it’s really a matter of preference as to which scenes work better between the two. Honestly, I’m just glad you like the couple at all. =) It is nearly impossible to find fans of the prequels.
"Young girls will be in love with Hayden" and I was waiting for him to say "and the young guys with Natalie" but he didn't and I was like come on speak the truth for us guys too lol.
@Fatima Carrano well, at least we know Hayden Christensen will be coming back to play Darth Vader in the Kenobi series. We just don’t know if we’ll be seeing his face at one point though. At least he’s coming back, a lot of people in the Star Wars community, especially the Prequel memers missed Hayden being in Star Wars, myself included.
Tom Evans What teen appeal? Cute guys that are famous for being cute regardless of how well they can act (Hayden Christensen) or sing (Justin Bieber). Teens have been diggin that forever - its why THEY make it big in a way that talented but average-looking actors and singers don't. You just answered your own question ;P
Yup a love story where Anakin, who is acting like a angry baby and Padme, who should be a smart and a strong characters but marries a mass murderer and wonders what went wrong.
Niokolay Dimitrov that actually seems to fit me and my girlfriend quite perfectly, minus the stuff about the murders, and I have legitimate reasons to be angry
Someone help me. I cannot get enough of Hayden. Oh my God he's absolutely gorgeous. He was literally my first crush ever and I'm back after 15 years and still not over him. Ugh I love Anakin so much.
I think it makes sense that their romance is awkward, padme had never been involved with anyone, and much less anakin, I mean, what was it like when you had your first relationship? it was probably really dumb and you both acted really dumb about it. it's the most natural thing in the world that their falling in love would seem odd and maybe even a little weird or creepy, I mean you're talking about 20 something year Olds who've never been in a relationship, it's a recipe for disaster, it would have seemed more weird if they had fallen in love in the way we are used to seeing others fall in love
+DeCipher Yeah, sure, like: "I was 12, he was a little older and after that he became an artist and I became queen of Naboo.." I couldn't name that "a lover". A crush, maybe, but to have a crush in the childhood don't make Padme an 'experienced one". She was too long in public service, i.e. she had to hide her personal feeling and liva a life dedicated to tthe others.
Тони Гетова I'm talking about in the Clone Wars tv series. She has a romantic relationship with another senator called Clovis in between Eps I&II, soon after she enters the senate. She never told Anakin about it though until that episode.
Тони Гетова I get that, but even so Anakin's behaviour still doesn't make sense in the film. He should be trying to stick to his Jedi training and at least be a bit resistant to the way he feels about her. Instead, he immediately says in their first meeting "You've grown even more beautiful than before" and then tells Obi-Wan that being around her is intoxicating. It just doesn't feel right. If anything Padme should be initiating the romantic overtures, not Anakin.
This came out when I was in grade 3 and I thought it was the best love story ever.. Now, I'm kinda like.. 'What the hell was I thinking back then'.. But I still have a lil soft spot for the Anakin/ Padmé story line.
+zanessandclana4ever "But I still have a lil soft spot for the Anakin/ Padmé story line." - I feel like their relationship is portrayed much better in the Clone Wars tv series.
You can tell that John Williams put so much more passion into the prequels simply because George and the rest of his team poured out their all into it, although not everyone may agree with its execution. With EP.8, things are just so all over the place, the movie lacks a common relatable theme, and the score, although still good, lacks the passionate notes that melt your heart like "Across the Stars." The PT and OT were truly the golden ages of Star Wars.
James Lipton once asked Director Stanley Donen how it's possible to direct (or work with) someone like Audrey Hepburn and not fall in love with her. Donen replied something to the effect of "It's not....you fall in love with her and then you finish the movie." Since millions of people feel the same about Natalie just from seeing her movies one could also imagine that some of her peers and coworkers have faced the same dilemma over the years. Alas, there's nearly 8 billion people in the world and only one Natalie so the odds are never in anyone's favor. Such is life.
True congrats to Lucas, Portman and Christensen for creating one of the ONLY Sci-Fi romances I actually really feel invested in. Christensen and Portman have loads of chemistry, even in this interview they seem really enthused and happy about working together, about this story. The whole romance is handled maturely and creatively, and all the cast members really do seem to understand why it works and what it was built on. Lucas obviously has that passion too.
I don´t know why so many criticism in Hayden as Anakin!!! He feels so pasionated doing this, his facial expressions show perfectly Anakin´s character....you can see and feel during this film how he goes to Padme, he doesn´t give up until they love each other and how cocky he is with her. And also it´s scary when he shows his dark path, and that feeling of tragedy in Episode III. Anakin is a very difficult role to play. For me, Hayden has made the best of episodes 2 and 3, near other actors
Grandchildren? Grandchild. Adam Driver was cast to look like Harrison Ford, and goddamn is it perfect. He's unequivocally secretly Harrison's kid. Have you seen them side by side? Edit: Here's an example images.app.goo.gl/W8WHCnLRJ38X4YhQA
Ngl, just saw a new hope, in that scene where they’re rescuing Leia with Luke in the storm trooper outfit.... she’s not wearing anything skimpy, but you can make out the curve of her body from her dress from the way she’s laying down and damn I get it now. I used to wonder why people found her so hot, like she’s not ugly but I never found her a looker and her voice was a little too tough for me. But that body though, I’m starting to see...

HAYDEN WHY ARE YOU SO CUTE UGH I SHIP THEM SO MUCH THEY ARE BOTH SO GORGEOUS ALSKDJALKSDJKFG When Hayden acts like Anakin is kind of awkward and half smiles- im dead
I understand people that George "went too far in a couple of places" but as a fan, I still to this day understand his simple vision. It's not just a movie series about explosions and lightsaber fights. he wanted to prove that even in a ficitonal world, you still have a soul, there are ups and downs in humans and other beings, In such a society it can cause a lot of trouble.
Oh, you mean like the time where he flat out told Padibear that he slaughtered an entire village, the woman and children too? Boy what a "creep." But you know what? Padibear never even blinked an eye, and just told him, "We all get angry sometimes." I mean, if someone read this script to me before the movie started, I would have put money down that it was fake. No writer can be this bad.
yeah. Awkward 'pick-up' line. He's honest though, i got to give him credit for that, though the "you've grown more beautiful" line is nothing compared to telling her "your exactly the way i remember you in my dreams". But, it all seems to work out for him in the end, she marries him after a couple of weeks. Maybe she's the type of girl that thinks it's cute when the guy tries to give an awkward compliment...
This line isn't so bad, actually. Anakin is a sheltered Jedi who has never really flirted with a girl, and suddenly he has to meet Padme again for the first time in years and he's got the super hots for her, so he doesn't really know how to confront that. He's nervous. Then Padme says, "You'll always be that little boy I knew on Tatooine" and totally shuts him down, so now he's got something to prove to her. I've always liked how Obi-Wan just stands there watching like, "What the fuck are you doing, Anakin?" It's lines like, "You're exactly the way I remember you in my dreams," and "Here everything is soft and smooth," and "I'm haunted by the kiss you should never have given me." that are so awful. They take it way too far and make him sound like a stalker. These movies had potential and there are moments in the final cut that do work, but they're overshadowed by the suckage in the rest of the movie.
Hayden Christensen is so well-spoken. The way he talks about the characters makes you realize how deeply he cares about the story.
I love the way he described why Anakin would fall in love with Padme 5:25. It was so eloquently said. I wish he had gotten to help write some of the dialogue 😅 I don’t think George Lucas understood how to write romantic exchanges very well. Still appreciate the prequels, and I love the story. He acts good
István Sipos I agree
I agree. Anakin had to be a very unstable person, otherwise he wouldn't have became Darth Vader.

I've recently marathoned all the movies and I really don't get why people don't like Anakin's little speech about sand. I really didn't think it was bad at all.
+ShamanMcLamie It was stupid and pointless
+Michael McGrath I don't think it was pointless. He just doesn't like sand because he lived on a planet with sand everywhere for most of his life, being a slave with hard labour as well. I also think it's interesting because Luke was hidden on a planet with sand, somewhere Darth Vader would not want to be.
Michael McGrath If Anakin's pick up line that got him a kiss and advanced the love plot was stupid and pointless then Leia kissing Luke in The Empire Strikes Back is sure as hell stupid and pointless, not to mention incestuous.
+ShamanMcLamie It's such a non sequitur, and it's not clever. Is he trying to impress her? Ani's got no game.
+Baigandine L well he hasn't been in contact with a girl all his life. hes been a slave. and he does have a huge crush on her so he will be nervous around her

I love that their love story has backstory. They’re not just “met and felt in love at a first sight”. Their story began way earlier than their love story did
Well said, and I completely agree 👍
@@SrbijaCG totally agree with you...

Ironically, even though Attack of the Clones was the love story, their chemistry was so much more solid in Revenge of the Sith. Probably due to some distractingly awkward lines in Episode II. At the very least, Hayden got the "inner conflict" bit to come through in Episode II, despite the script.

George Lucas: Padmé is the more mature one.
Meanwhile
Natalie: Padmé thinks Anakin's hot; he's such a badboy, lol.
If only George Lucas hired someone to write the romantic dialogue. Ugh... still love Anakin/Padme though.
If you're referring to the fireplace scene, that was what they were going for. They depicted courtly love very well. You can compare the entire conversation to a medieval love story. On this Padme/Anakin website, there's an essay with an entire section on it.

For starters the now infamous sand line:
Padme: We used to come here for school retreat.
In contrast a scene I really liked between them was when they are in field talking about politics:
P: You really don’t like politicians, do you?
A: I like 2 or 3...but I’m not really sure about one of them.(both
laugh)I don’t think the system works.
P: How would you have it work?
A: We need a system where the politicians sit down and discuss the problem…
agree what’s in the best interest of all people… and then do it.
P: That’s exactly what we do. The trouble is that people don’t always agree.
A: Well, then they should be made to.
P: By whom? Who’s going to make them?&
A: I don’t know. Someone.
Other scenes that feel forced:
-When Padme is packing and Anakin complains about Obi Wan.
-Fireplace scene where Padme says they can’t be together.
-When Anakin tells Padme how he slaughtered the Tusken
raiders.
-When Padme says she loves Anakin after they captured on
Geonosis.
These scenes just make the characters seem angsty and over dramatic.
Other scenes that naturally established Anakin/Padme’s relationship:
-When Anakin explains how Jedi are not allowed to have
attachments.
-Anakin meets Padme’s family (deleted scene)
-After Anakin has a vision of his mother dying.
-When Padme hugs Anakin before he goes to off to find his mother.
These scenes are more subtle in showing how the characters do have an attraction towards each other and why there would be some tension between them.
+Mallika Banerjee
But his reply about how he doesn't like sand is because he is from a desert planet and in Star Wars: A New Hope Luke said he wanted to get away from there.

I see. I didn't watch the Cloe wars, but I was talking about Ep.2. The main point of their romance is that both have no experience at all.
I think he's adorable he has one of those baby faces to me
so Anakin likes older woman lol
Jacob Sloand women**
Jacob Sloand by 5 years
no there the same age
+AJ Boss2807 Anakin was nine when he first met Padme . . . she was 14 so there is a five year age difference. AOTC takes place ten years later.
So padme likes younger men 😵
I don't give a damn what people think. The scenes with them are adorable
This came out when I was in grade 3 and I thought it was the best love story ever..
Now, I'm kinda like.. 'What the hell was I thinking back then'..
But I still have a lil soft spot for the Anakin/ Padmé story line.
+zanessandclana4ever Groooooaaaannn. That love was coarse, ruff & irritating & went nowhere.
lol well for me, I always thought it was creepy, rushed and weird. what made it seem real was padme (bae) her outfits and the music.
+MrPete8680 Mr. Pete never liked sand...
+zanessandclana4ever "But I still have a lil soft spot for the Anakin/ Padmé story line." - I feel like their relationship is portrayed much better in the Clone Wars tv series.
chemistry great
Natalie Portoman Likes to talk about Hayden i see
who wouldn’t hehe
@@zeroli444 Hayden îs babe material
Ion_ Cornelia periodt
i refuse the fact that they ain’t married
they made her..this is a feature on love..
Yep because the sequel trilogy does not exist to me
It’s safe to say Hayden prolly caught a bit of feelings for Natalie
Are you kidding? Put me in the same room and I'll catch more than a "bit of feelings"!
I heard that They dated for a while
James Lipton once asked Director Stanley Donen how it's possible to direct (or work with) someone like Audrey Hepburn and not fall in love with her.
Donen replied something to the effect of "It's not....you fall in love with her and then you finish the movie."
Since millions of people feel the same about Natalie just from seeing her movies one could also imagine that some of her peers and coworkers have faced the same dilemma over the years.
Alas, there's nearly 8 billion people in the world and only one Natalie so the odds are never in anyone's favor.
Such is life.
@@lamar_actual he left Natalie to date annoying Rachel. I wish Hayden and Natalie were back together
Apparently they got together during filming
True congrats to Lucas, Portman and Christensen for creating one of the ONLY Sci-Fi romances I actually really feel invested in. Christensen and Portman have loads of chemistry, even in this interview they seem really enthused and happy about working together, about this story. The whole romance is handled maturely and creatively, and all the cast members really do seem to understand why it works and what it was built on. Lucas obviously has that passion too.
I agree, I loved their story.
Yes❤
Both Anakin and Padme are played by gorgeous people.
That love theme is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever. John Williams did a wonderful job.
They’re so much better looking than their grandchildren...that moment when you’re grandmother is hotter than u..
Grandchildren? Grandchild. Adam Driver was cast to look like Harrison Ford, and goddamn is it perfect. He's unequivocally secretly Harrison's kid. Have you seen them side by side?
Edit: Here's an example

Winston Smith No?? I don’t think they look anything alike
@@Momo-bu3le
I suggest simply googling "Harrison Ford Adam Driver" and taking a scroll. You'll see.
Jaina, Jacen, and Anakin Solo were all good looking...
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY better love story than Twilight
I love the Star Wars love theme. It always gets me in a loving mood. 💖♥️
Okay but regardless of how you feel about the movie, Across the Stars is a beautiful piece of music.
❤️Thanks for your unending love and support you have constantly shown me. I can’t appreciate the unconditional love I have gotten from fans, which for this very reason has kept me going and even giving a more sensational entertainment. I’m forever grateful. Where are you watching from?
HAYDEN WHY ARE YOU SO CUTE
UGH I SHIP THEM SO MUCH THEY ARE BOTH SO GORGEOUS ALSKDJALKSDJKFG
When Hayden acts like Anakin is kind of awkward and half smiles- im dead
Thank u
I understand people that George "went too far in a couple of places" but as a fan, I still to this day understand his simple vision. It's not just a movie series about explosions and lightsaber fights. he wanted to prove that even in a ficitonal world, you still have a soul, there are ups and downs in humans and other beings, In such a society it can cause a lot of trouble.
THEY'RE SO CUTE I'M EXPLODING
I exploded something alright ayy lmao
Padmé's ship, obviously.
TNT
god why does everyone ship actors, it’s creepy
Gavrilo Princip yeah you exploded war Mr. Princip
Padme's outfits in Attack of the Clones awakened a lot of young boys for sure.
Natalie portman sounds like every hayden Christensen stan on tumblr
Across the Stars is so freaking beautiful. Padme and Anakin have their cute moments, but anakin does act like a total creep sometimes haha XD
Oh, you mean like the time where he flat out told Padibear that he slaughtered an entire village, the woman and children too?
Boy what a "creep." But you know what? Padibear never even blinked an eye, and just told him, "We all get angry sometimes."
I mean, if someone read this script to me before the movie started, I would have put money down that it was fake. No writer can be this bad.
+Dialectical Monist are you some kind of hater? It's your 3rd comment I see in a row
Pad Konn I'm not a huge fan of the prequels.
That's kind of the point. He was never thought how to act around girls.
Padme - "Ani! My goodness you've grown"
Vader - "So have you. Grown more beautiful I mean" -----Why would you ever say that??
Epic fail pick-up line.
Clara Fischer lol. my point exactly. im also guessing it probably helps that anakin is a prettyboy.
I've always liked how Obi-Wan just stands there watching like, "What the fuck are you doing, Anakin?"
It's lines like, "You're exactly the way I remember you in my dreams," and "Here everything is soft and smooth," and "I'm haunted by the kiss you should never have given me." that are so awful. They take it way too far and make him sound like a stalker.
These movies had potential and there are moments in the final cut that do work, but they're overshadowed by the suckage in the rest of the movie.
***** "They live on the moons of Iego, I think."
‘Young girls will be in love with Hayden’ I feel exposed 👀
The second half of the sentence almost exposed me and da guys, but he changed course. 😁
Natalie Portman is so beautiful I would gladly turn to the dark side for her.
😍😍😍
Still a way better love story than twilight
Oof
Bisexuality is having a crush on both Anakin and Padmé
Yup
Ludimeel Sorbo Of course, I forgot some bisexuals prefer Obi wan.
Ludimeel Sorbo I don’t know what to say dude that’s some healthy masculinity and I am here for it
@Ludimeel Sorbo I mean, finding somebody attractive, and having a crush are two different things
SeucheAnemone56 you’re amazing
My...I've forgotten HOW MUCH I love "Attack of the Clones". It's good to see this behind-the-scene mini-documentary
