Most of the cinematic before this years happened years after Arcane, Arcane is in the past compare to the lore right now.
Which is easy for riot to make animation because the fact that it happened in the past allowed them to change a little the lore if they want to.

Card game Legends of Runeterra where you have even voice lines.
