Driving back from Volunteering at both Rocky Raccoon weekends of rain and mud, and found this show! Gained RRCA certification in December and UESCA is next. Retiring in Jan of '25 and have a business plan to coach new runners that are 55+ (I am 65, and completed my 1st 100 miler last year) - Thank you for creating this content and it's helped a lot!

Truly a bold move. I applaud you for pressing forward to do this podcast. Also, really appreciate Heather and Jeff, Dirk and CTS for being so open to this concept and pulling back the veil. Obviously, some of the issues discussed are shared by many starting and growing a small business. That was cool to hear. But starting and running a coaching business is no doubt a unique endeavor. Clearly each of your participants share a passion for the sport, and for the success and well being of their athletes. Jason, I'm an old guy road runner. But I am an avid podcast listener because I trust your knowledge, experience and insights, and the appropriate application of quality research to the broad sport of endurance running. Most important - I trust your values. Keep up the terrific work.

This is golden! I'm currently enrolled in the UESCA Ultra coaching course and looking forward to when I can actually launch my coaching business and just listening to this conversation is so helpful. 🙏🏼

While she does not still work for CTS, the best coach I ever worked with over a 2 year period, was a CTS coach. Very professional and compassionate as I was going through a bit of a tough time of life. It was a clear difference from other coaches I have worked with who never took into consideration where I lived ( snowbound all winter) or work/parenting balance. Now I understand why that was. Also, as a RD and nutrition professional, I HIGHLY suggest coaches refer out for nutrition issues outside of simply healthy eating. I had a friend tell me that her well known male coach (not from CTS) was her nutritionist helping her with her Crohn's disease, unacceptable.
