Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah said: Whoever shows hostility to a friend of Mine, I have declared war upon him. My servant does not grow closer to Me with anything more beloved to me than the duties I have imposed upon him. My servant continues to grow closer to Me with extra good works until I love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask something from Me, I would surely give it to him. Were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant it to him. I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to take the soul of the believer, for he hates death and I hate to displease him.”

Quran 37 : 143. Had he not been of them who glorify Allah,
144. He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection.
Narrated Ibrahim Abu Isma`il As-Saksaki:
I heard Abu Burda who accompanied Yazid bin Abi Kabsha on a journey. Yazid used to observe fasting on journeys. Abu Burda said to him, "I heard Abu Musa several times saying that Allah's Apostle said, 'When an abd falls ill or travels, then he will get reward similar to that he gets for good deeds practiced at home when in good health."

Narrated Abu Huraira:
At the time of the Fajr prayer the Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him) asked Bilal, "Tell me of the best deed you did after embracing Islam, for I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise." Bilal replied, "I did not do anything worth mentioning except that whenever I performed ablution during the day or night, I prayed after that ablution as much as was written for me."

Narrated Al-Mughira:
The Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him) used to stand (in the prayer) or pray till both his feet or legs swelled. He was asked why (he offered such an unbearable prayer) and he said, "should I not be a thankful abd."

Narrated `Ali:
Fatima complained of what she suffered from the hand mill and from grinding, when she got the news that some slave girls of the booty had been brought to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him). She went to him to ask for a maid-servant, but she could not find him, and told `Aisha of her need. When the Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him) came, Aisha informed him of that. The Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him) came to our house when we had gone to our beds. (On seeing the Prophet) we were going to get up, but he said, 'Keep at your places,' I felt the coolness of the Prophet's feet on my chest. Then he said, "Shall I tell you a thing which is better than what you asked me for? When you go to your beds, say: 'Allahu Akbar (i.e. Allah is Greater)' for 34 times, and 'Al hamdu Li llah (i.e. all the praises are for Allah)' for 33 times, and Subhan Allah (i.e. Glorified be Allah) for 33 times. This is better for you than what you have requested."

Narrated Umm Habibah:
The Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him) as saying: If anyone prays in a day and a night twelve rak'ahs voluntarily (supererogatory prayer), a house will be built from him in Paradise on account of these (rak'ahs).

Narrated Salim's father:
In the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him) whosoever saw a dream would narrate it to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him). I had a wish of seeing a dream to narrate it to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him) I was a grown up boy and used to sleep in the Mosque in the lifetime of the Prophet. I saw in the dream that two angels caught hold of me and took me to the Fire which was built all round like a built well and had two poles in it and the people in it were known to me. I started saying, "I seek refuge with Allah from the Fire." Then I met another angel who told me not to be afraid. I narrated the dream to Hafsa who told it to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ peace and blessing be upon him). The Prophet said, "Abdullah is a good man. I wish he prayed Tahajjud." After that `Abdullah (i.e. Salim's father) used to sleep but a little at night.

Quran 23 : 60. And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning).

Fudal ibn ubaid said to know Allah accepted a mustard seed of deed is more beloved to be than anything as Quran says Allah accepts from the pious.
salaf would make 6 months asking Allah to accept their worship in Ramadan and pray another 6 to reach Ramadan.
Umar ibn Abdul Aziz said on Eid Fitr, you fasted 30 days and prayed for 30 nights, so today ask Allah to accept your worship.
the people would say, will my Master accept my worship?
