      Anyone who deadlifts 8 grown men for reps will be humble, it's inevitable to be honest.. you know with great power comes great responsability, maybe it didn't start off like that but as you progress in strength, you get humble, it's good for any " troublechild " to do powerlifting or a fighting sport for that exact reason, (insert gender) becomes more humble because (insert gender) knows that (insert gender) can defend themselves against anyone anywhere and it makes them more secure in themselves, which gives them the opportunity to show their real self instead of hiding behind a "cool (insert gender)" barrier etc, everyone knows what I mean so I don't know why I took my time to type all this, have a great friday

    Interesting! He credits Cailer Woolam's video's for motivating him to switch to the "cheat grip" (hook grip). Personally, I don't see why more people don't do it... nice interview, thanks :)

      i've only done it a couple times too doe so i might be the reason why, my coach is telling me to stop crying like a bitch and then he just pulls 600 infront of me with hookgrip.. but im a teen at 17 years old aswell so it might be the reason for me being a little pussyboi

      Yeah I think as a community we should start promoting hook grip as opposed to the generic “oh if your grip is a weakness just use straps”.

    • @cheatcode3737
      @cheatcode3737 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      im in on it, i only use straps for all those accesories because i can overload a lot more on them with straps

      I could, but those are quite long videos. I might translate one of them. Probably deadlift instructional. Or maybe his most recent interview after WRPF.

    How is hook grip cheating exactly? To me, mixed grip is cheating, hook grip is far more impressive.

    • @lawrence675a
      @lawrence675a 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, for pretty much 90%of everybody putting your thumb under the bar and your fingers over it is easier than mixed, man tell you what, there are some stupid mfs out there these days, dont listen to them they have no idea what they talking abt I 100% guarentee it
