I got the Tahoe Premier but both have good features. Even though the Speedometer and Tachometer are the only Analog gauge I like the octogenarian frame of the Yukon better. Different and unique without being overly flashy. Went with Tahoe because…..well quite simply…..it was available. Estimated minimum six-ten weeks for Yukon…..even with custom order. Wireless Charging nice but the charging pad and or phone has many opportunities to get damaged. Liquid spills, other objects, etc…. Personally I say put the WC pad in one of the console cubbies and here’s a concept……pay attention to the road instead of the phone….. I would bet $50 that probably a very fair amount of accidents/incidents reported by WAZE…….the ones reporting the incidents are probably the cause of the event….whether they admit it or not. Great design and technology for both refreshes on the 2021 models (Tahoe/Yukon) slightly longer and appears that the redesign was put to good use of space. Great review and good use of technology. Modern design without being too flashy. Effective without being overwhelming…..except for close quarter parking but you will find out about that soon enough!! Whatever parking space area you think you need add about another 50% until you get used to it. Save your lift gate….either open lift gate manually until you get used to it or set to only open 3/4 by power…..raise the rest by hand. I do wish they had a 1/2 open. I did not learn the hard way but still want to make sure no other new owners find out the hard way. The only thing I will get limited use at least in TX is the 4WD but then again….when you need it around here…..you really need it.
Do the side mirrors automatically fold? When you turn off engine..and open back up when you start engine? I believe there is a setting inside the infotainment center
Brian - great video. Coming to you from the True North - three questions - 1) Wireless chargers - standard? or you have to buy the package? 2) If I have two car seats in 2nd row (bench seat setup), how will/easy is it for the 3rd row passengers to get in? Is it similar to VW ATlas? 3) Digital Cockpit - is that standard in SLT?
Appreciate the feedback! I'll try to remember to do that on the next video...I warn you though, its not much to look at anymore. Just a big plastic shroud in most cases. Thanks for watching!
I can’t stand how they withhold some of the simple tech to the higher lines. Most of them are a complete ripoff they make you buy a crap package for 5 grand with huge rims so you can have a dimming mirror so annoying
I prefer the 6.2 as well, but from my experience the vast majority of people don't care, and would rather save the money and go with the 5.3. Thanks for watching Kevin!
@@BrianMello Agreed, I use my Yukon for Livery service so I pony up for the 6.2 cuz it has a heavy duty cooling system far superior to the 5.3 , not to mention more powerful and smoother transmission. I enjoy your channel greatly.
@@kevinstrang11 you pick up any 2021's yet? We've got a big livery company that does business with us and they've just started upgrading. The new independent rear suspension is a game changer in ride quality and interior space. Hope business is doing well for you!
@@BrianMello I haven't test drove one yet but will be soon, I've heard great things. I love the satin steel metallic with the black wrap. Hopefully this Covid will end soon and the economy will come back for us all.
Yukon is very sensitive with me, Yukon 2019 out of curiosity, i put edible oil inside the engine in 2 days, engine broke down and got very expensive and now i have been throwing it in the desert for 5 months. This is a hidden flaw in the Yukon.
Brian great channel & POV vids! Would like to suggest that you slow down just a bit, hold on your shots, linger more (front, back, seats, dash, etc) before moving on. You move vey quickly and i find myself having to constantly back up several seconds to see something. Keep grinding bro!
major problems with the push rods and lifters...MY general mess of crap,GMC motor blew up at 7700miles...dealer told me that GM buys all internal engine parts from china....all soft metal and not heat treated...so sad for 67 thousand dollars
Worst truck ever.... bought 1 did a road trip and it broke down on me only had 10k miles on it not a good SUV had to get a rental car left my truck in Idaho and I live in Dallas tx 🤦♂️
Now that you've seen one up close, what do you think of the 2021 GMC Yukon SLT?
I love it
Should have the 6.2 option ✌️🇨🇦
just made my purchase!
One of the best SUV's out there. Wish South Africa was selling GMC products. Great review 👍

Great walk through
When doing the foot activation kick under the bumper then take a step back.

Does the car have sport mode?

does this have the heads up display?
Great video! What is the gimbal that you're using?
Appreciate it Tim! I use the Movi Cinema Robot, it’s the best smartphone gimbal on the market without question.
@@BrianMello No kidding. The walkthrough videos are silky smooth. Appreciate the insight, Brian.
@@timgodfrey_ a gimbal makes a world of difference, the DJI Mobile 3 is also a solid especially for the price.
How's the 6.2 v8 compared to the duramax diesel? Which is better and why?
Buy the diesel.
I heard the diesel has to be fully removed and transmission at 150 k. That’s a huge downside
Very disappointing GMC does not offer a HUD on the SLT Yukons models yet they are offered on all SLT pickup trucks.

All Yukons should come with the 6.2 engine, IMO the 5.3 just doesn't cut it.

😍😍😍😍😍
It seems Dashboard screen is different than XL Denali
I think this one looks better than the Denali
No, Denali's interior and exterior design is better.I had a test drive
@@alexman340 I mean the screen. The salt looks better to me the denali tech looks outdated
@@PS-zw4yc Actually I don't like this screen, even smaller than RAV4
The slt screen is better Oh wow that’s crazy. I wonder why they kept it so dated
Dunkin Donuts….perfect example….Bonus for calling the true name not Dunkin’…..a true fellow New Englander.

Gas or diesel
GM products are crap 💩. I had 2018 Cadillac Escalade that was more in shop than in my driveway.

Was it a lifter issue? They have since gotten a new supplier.
