Mat Watson is by far, the best car reviewer I have ever watched on TH-cam. Whenever I want to see a car review, I look to Carwow, because Mat does the best reviews on cars, even if I don't agree with his verdicts or what he says. He should definitely get the new Range Rover, for it suits him and he should spec the paint colour that HE LIKES, not what others suggest.
Both Carwow and Land Rover stepped their game in this one. The new Range Rover are like miles ahead of the previous versions and the Carwow team is bringing beautiful content daily. I'm just glad to be able to experience this.
Except the new Range Rover is ugly, probably as unreliable or even worse as the previous Gen and will depreciate by 50% the moment it reaches the road for the first time. If you want a decent SUV, buy a G500

I love how Range Rover stuck with their guns and kept the floor shifter instead of those stupid buttons or rotary dials. And I've never seen a sleeker design than those invisible turn signals. Absolutely stunning. This car has got to be the bust SUV out there inside and out. 10/10!
When we lived in rural England, our local village garage had Land and Range Rovers in the shop constantly. I don't understand how their involvement with BMW (is that still happening, or are they now Chinese?) didn't lead to improved reliability. I guess those with that much moolah use Volvo XC90 when the RR is out of action. Bless.

Really enjoying Mat's reviews! Great looking car for sure. Love the styling, especially outside, very tidy. All looks good... well on paper at least! Reliability is yet to be seen, but if you judge by past performance, I am yet to meet an owner, who hasn't had serious issues!
In the past few years I've had 2 Jag XFs and one RR (Velar 3.0) and 2 out of the three broke down on me. The Velar in the middle of nowhere with a disabled passenger. This new RR looks fantastic, and will no doubt be dynamic to drive, but I would never consider a JLR car again as they just are too unreliable. And SO much to go wrong on this.

I have had the pleasure of owning 3 Discoveries over a period of 12 years - as a German I must confess that they were the first non-german cars I had ever owned and by far the best and most enjoyable cars I have ever driven. Unfortunately the "revolution" from Disco 4 to 5-series was a bit too much for me and that also counts for the changes from the old to the current Defender. Not my cup of tea! I really like how Landrover has carefully evolved the Range Rover with respect to the latest model rather that just changing everything in order to create something "revolutionary". Especially the interior of the car remains very elegant and classy. German premium brands have in many cases chosen to change the interior to a much more technocratic and playful design that, in my opinion, does not meet the taste of many of the customers in the targeted group. All in all a very desirable car - sad though, that the UK did not remain part of the EU - that would have helped a little with the price 😉

I really hope LR will make the 4 seater config for the short wheel base version, not necessary for the LWB top of the line SV autobio. I would def paying for the 4 seater option if available for every trim level.

Wow fantastic job, beautiful interior. While the GLS comes in a bit cheaper, i'm struggling to see why a buyer would opt for the GLS over this or the X7. I love that RR offered a 3rd row that looks reasonable for adults. Very smart to offer a hybrid, as BMW & Merc do not. Plus rear wheel steering, a 2nd row that hinges forward for those of us with kids in car seats, and an all-electric powertrain in the future! This will be the new 3-row luxury SUV of choice in the US. What's not to like? Oh yeah, reliability concerns. Hopefully there's been progress in that area too

I love the unique look of this car a lot But unfortunately it's not as strong as it looks and that's just disappointing. One of the most unreliable cars for price in the world mate.. If I was to ever buy an SUV it'll probably be a land cruiser but then again they're not the best when attempting luxury, I'm talking about their interiors. But idfk
@@richierich1835 exactly, many consumers have witnessed stuffs like rattling sound from the engine during hard accleration. That too from a fricking crossplane V8, after all crossplane V8s have been known for zero vibration. All because of poorly designed engine mounts. Not to miss the crankshaft bearing failure and cooling system that drips coolant everytime. This is the poor quality standard which JLR maintains, even after being funded loads of money from Tata. I drive a 2nd gen Pajero 2.8l diesel, chip tuned too make 180 horses and 400NMs of torque. Never witnessed a single problem like that, even though it's a 4 banger. Even an Indian made mahindra pickup would never suffer such problems and can last 200k kms.

I really like how Landrover has carefully evolved the Range Rover with respect to the latest model rather that just changing everything in order to create something "revolutionary".
Especially the interior of the car remains very elegant and classy. German premium brands have in many cases chosen to change the interior to a much more technocratic and playful design that, in my opinion, does not meet the taste of many of the customers in the targeted group.
All in all a very desirable car - sad though, that the UK did not remain part of the EU - that would have helped a little with the price 😉

I really hope LR will make the 4 seater config for the short wheel base version, not necessary for the LWB top of the line SV autobio. I would def paying for the 4 seater option if available for every trim level.

Wow fantastic job, beautiful interior. While the GLS comes in a bit cheaper, i'm struggling to see why a buyer would opt for the GLS over this or the X7. I love that RR offered a 3rd row that looks reasonable for adults. Very smart to offer a hybrid, as BMW & Merc do not. Plus rear wheel steering, a 2nd row that hinges forward for those of us with kids in car seats, and an all-electric powertrain in the future! This will be the new 3-row luxury SUV of choice in the US. What's not to like? Oh yeah, reliability concerns. Hopefully there's been progress in that area too

Jesus, in Australia we remove the motor, cut the roof off, take the seats out and use them for trailers! and you can guarantee sometime will still go wrong. Looks nice though.

@@richierich1835 exactly, many consumers have witnessed stuffs like rattling sound from the engine during hard accleration. That too from a fricking crossplane V8, after all crossplane V8s have been known for zero vibration. All because of poorly designed engine mounts. Not to miss the crankshaft bearing failure and cooling system that drips coolant everytime. This is the poor quality standard which JLR maintains, even after being funded loads of money from Tata. I drive a 2nd gen Pajero 2.8l diesel, chip tuned too make 180 horses and 400NMs of torque. Never witnessed a single problem like that, even though it's a 4 banger. Even an Indian made mahindra pickup would never suffer such problems and can last 200k kms.
Reliability in what sense? I've had a land rover for 7 years and it's been good the whole time
