i love sidney shes an amazing character and protagonist and is now one of my favorite characters for her bravery and spirit and ability to never give up against insurmountable odds i identify with this because for example when i was born i would forget to breath 100 times or more and almost suffocated and died as an infant but i kept fighting to live and had help from the hospital staff to remember to breath I also was shown to have chemical brain damage and or autism and have spent all my life so far constantly fighting to overcome the barriers and obstacles everyone thought I'd never overcome from this just like sidney and I also have seen lots of fighting cussing and drunken rages while really young and it would sometimes leave me frozen in silent shaky fear and almost like the fear of living through an attack from ghostface or a beating from jokers crowbar and from all that pain i learned to fight through it and overcome it through my own ways that i found along the way like sidneys Character i heavily identified with characters in this way Characters like kevin conroys batman in the Animated series Optimus prime from Transformers prime obi wan kenobi or really just any dc material for any dc Character to name a few of these icons i drew inspiration from and strength wisdom and the core of who i am into someone who could get out ahead of all this on the other end of the tunnel after fighting through it all silently or mentally when sidney says shes a fighter I am too and I'm sure I'm not the only person in the world with plenty of trauma pain and trials we've all fought through something hard something that breaks our knees and keeps punching us its about what we do with that hardship and adversity and pain that tests who we are the power to build heroes in all of us people who care about others who help people who fight the dark and scary parts of life and chose to live
A strong and lovely character, Sydney made a difference, proving that you don't have to be a virgin to survive a horror movie! One of the reasons why she's my hero. 😎
Neve Campbell did to Sydney Prescott what Christopher Reeve did to Superman. Neve made Sydney become an actual person by giving her an actual personality that grows throughout this franchise. In Scream Sydney is very insecure because of what happened to her mother the year before. In Scream 2 she begins to endure the fact that unfortunately for her there'll always be a part of her life where lunatics could come after her and those she is closest to. In Scream 3 Sydney finds out everything about her mother's past. In Scream 4 Jill's rampage shows Sydney the type of person Sydney 'could have' become if she had mentally broken at the beginning of this chain of events as Jill was really Sydney's evil doppelganger.

Wonderful theme. It has a tragic beginning, but slowly becomes stronger and more powerful following its different variations and reprises in the films. Also interestingly it’s similar to Daenerys’ theme.
I always love the Scream Movies!!! I can't wait for Scream 5!!!! Hopefully Sidney will finally put an end to this death game but I still want her to survive!!!! I love Sid but at the same time I felt bad for her as she is such a beautiful character, a beautiful heroine but paying a heavy price for what her mother did in the past. It sucks to know a beautiful character happy being with friends in Scream 1 but as time moves by she ends up alone as many of her friends and allies die or end up betraying her all because of past circumstances that occurred which were not Sid's fault. So in the end she gradually becomes a strong and brave Heroine character but still alone which is sad. Cheers to Neve Campbell as she portrayed Sidney's Character really well!!!
