I miss bf4 vehicle mechanics :( Imagine if dice put in a setting to revert vehicle controls to legacy bf4 settings, i think the gameplay would be so much more enjoyable

The AA missiles/flares are broken af. It gets me so mad when I die from AA missile after I flared. The missile does circles and then comes back and finds me.
Also it bugs sometimes and doesn’t say you’re getting locked just a random missile
Dont forget to mention that in heli if you go behind buildings they do 90 degree turns and still hit you
Plus insta lock bug, sometimes, well nearly 100% of the time post flare locks happen immediately without any indication to the player a lock is being acquired on them. I’m at nearly 25 hours flying in the release at the moment and it’s fun as fuck but it never feels consistent with all these issues
@@TheMackBreezy combine that with the fact that 2 missiles take down all but fat transport aircraft, ur essentially dead if u get locked on again.
I’ve also noticed that most people carry either the Recoilless Rifle or Stinger so vehicles get picked off pretty quickly if they don’t stay far away from everyone =/
@@soop8665 im pretty sure those are actually the seeking anti armor nades that wingsuit lady has. you can just outrun them without needing flares
They made the Sky Box massive imo to balance air vehicles against ground so that any Air vehicle cant just hover and dominate a location. You actually have to plan out your strafe do want you can and get out, like flying the Heavy Bomber in an 8 shaped path over objectives back in Battlefield 1

The “issue” where you deploy flares and the missile circles until you can be relocked and hits you no warning has gotten me killed so many times

I've been hit by ghost missiles it's not even funny anymore.
It's insane how that was allowed to be in the game at launch. They clearly knew this was an issue, how could they not?
Use the countermeasures when they are locking on. It’s more like the ecm jammer rather than flares but at least the ecm jammer was able to completely stop missiles in bf4 even though they would fly around you like crazy trying to hit you
Ramming is very viable now, the amount of times a jet has just rammed me into space and survived is crazy lol 😝

Bro, the AGM upgrade is definitely better at dealing with ground targets.
Cause it is fkin bugged and/or broken in connection with Thermal smoke. Thermal breaks the lock on, but you still are able to fire at target. Re-lock for 2nd AGM is instant aswell half a second later. Reload is far too fast aswell.

Edit: it took me a long time to master the jets in battlefield 4 but I only mastered it from watching you play and the tips you given to me and other people and now I’m ready to do the same thing

They need to increase the damage of the cannons if they want to make the jets viable.

Maybe it's hitreg issues too but I think the cannons need a velocity buff and better reg
@@SilkOCE i would say buffing the velocity would create a better skill level, buffing damage feels more like luck.
They need to add the Jdam back.

I think the easiest way to reach a WR is the 30mm in the su50 with the active missiles btw. Try it out and see how hard you can go.
I think I'd rather grind the cannon aim and use lgms. I think that has good potential

Lock on missiles are broken atm. Will circle targets indefinitely after flares and hit 15 - 30s later. BF4 had a similar issue early on too but not this extreme. Only way to avoid is flare early before rocket is fired or make close contact with ground or cover. Missile circle is really wide most times so it will not hit if your close to cover. If your high up your fked lol.
Jets getting the kill for rams will make the salty trolls super happy.
God I have no clue why ramming is rewarded. At least I'm sure missiles will be fixed eventually.

How do you progress the jet unlocks? Kills towards heli and jets don’t count so how do I kill the ground vehicles with just the cannon when nobody targets the vehicles with soflam for missiles?

That's pretty good, all you have to do is master the aim in the jet cause its a bit tricky, btw 30mm cannons plus air to ground missiles just shreds ground vehicles

I noticed that too you just have to keep a lock even if they use flares once it locks on again if the missile hasn’t blown up it’ll still track that’s why staying low is important again lol

Silk do you have any tips for flying on mouse and keyboard? When I try to fly it feels like I can’t turn enough with my mouse.
Do you think they will add keybinds for jets and choppers separately because I use completely different keybinds on bf4 and coming onto this game I can only play either chopper or jet.

How can I increase the sensitivity for the Pilot first-person freelook cockpit view as it's very very slow head movement with mouse, I don't want to increase the flight sensitivity just the cockpit view head speed. You can do it for transport vehicle freelook sensitivity but can't see it for jets.!!
I’ve got at least 8 guys with aa launchers at any given time when I fly. How do you seem to avoid lobbies with them?
bro same as soon as i get in an atk or jet and get to a flag the lock on stays on the screen 247 flying is useless in this game
Same in tanks everyone has a rocket now and the ability to hack the tanks dice screwed all of us in vehicles up. Plus every time you fire a tank your screen is loaded with smoke for 30 seconds. You can’t see shit
We refer to then as Patrick stars, just sit there aiming at the sky dribbling all over themselves
@@DAVE_WHITE and in helis u can’t even go around buildings to dodge missiles like in shanghai , the missiles do 90 degree turns and still get u , and hacks last like a full 30 seconds game is broken

those was digits what you were able to get in bf3 on hardcore mod about 20-30 kills in a round killing air targets mostly. but i am still wating for classic jet gameplay expirience in this game. with 3d spots, dogfights, classic camera etc

Silk try out the air to ground missiles in the jets. I find them really fun!
I'm really disappointed with no TV guided missiles for helicopters.
Something tells me DICE still don't know how to properly code it, and they don't wanna repeat BF4's bizzare "you are the missile" glitchfest that were TV missiles in that game.
Oh I never knew this. That's why I got killed if someone destroyed my TV missile while my boat was untouched (it happened to me only in boat, never in attack heli)

How are you getting these huge maps, I’m on console and the objectives and layout is nothing like this, I only get to use like half of all the maps. Am I like missing something
I hate that only the US faction gets a VTOL as killing infantry with it is 10x easier.
i have to disagree with you there it is fair if you ask me becaose the f 35 is less manuvrable than the su 57 you can hear him say that in this videa they are balenced if you ask me

Somehow the dogfights are even worse than in BFV. Now it is all about who lands the first missile from the rear.
Also some missiles seem to come back with a delay after the flares deflected them once.
There was also one guy hovering with the F35E behind the Russian spawn and farming any heli that spawned
I am trying jets because I was never able to do it in BF4 but even now the learning curve is difficult. It's also really hard to unlock new gear because only vehicle kills count towards jet progression on top of a separate pregression track for Russian and US jets.
Great gameplay. Wish there were more chances to use one. I only seem to get one every 20 games or so!

@@StarCenturion yea same. Even though he’s not getting a crazy amount of kills the gameplay is fun to watch and he looks like he’s having fun playing it. I don’t have early access unfortunately but The jets don’t look glitchy asf like in the beta anymore from what I’ve seen.
Literally this. 2042 has issues and you can have fun on it. The game is still not in an acceptable state and I refunded it myself (playing on an EA copy). My job right now is to create content and this is the most viable option for me. Streaming also helps make the game much better.
Running a business means appealing to the customers, and the people want to see 2042.
So that’s what the man will do.

The controls are so hard for me I can’t seem to turn or pull up quick enough and I’ll even have my mouse sensitivity on like 10000 lol also how tf do you avoid all the anti air.
How is the jet movement compared to bf4 jets?
Oh god I've been using A and D for yaw for like 15 years and now see the benefit of binding it to roll and use mouse for yaw... my god its like trying to learn how to ride a bike in reverse though. Are you using A/D for yaw ... your rolls look too smooth for key clicks. Any tips would be appreciated. I've been using space for pitch up and C for pitch down for awhile. If this game weren't so wonky I'd just plug in my logitech flight stick and relive the BF2 days.
It embarrases me how many times I crash my planes when going for attack runs in BF1 and I'm almost a Level 20 pilot there.
Do they need a rework Silk either fully or just the balancing

whatever lobby he's in i want the same one. everytime I'm taking out all the helis in a jet everyone all of a sudden is locking onto me making it impossible to do anything

Have you found an optimal turn speed yet? Ive been having mixed results trying to keep it around 300kph. SUs still out turn me lol
It definitely feels weird. I feel like I usually get better results accelerating on turns, but idk. I definitely haven't figured it out yet

Hey guys. I've been having an issue with the apache and the other heli, when I equip anti tank missiles to it, every time I shoot one, the helicopter like glitches sideways. Has anyone had that too? Or anyone know how to fix it?

I've experienced that as well. I don't know if that sideways glitch is actually a glitch or if the rockets are so big it's simulating what it's like to shoot them haha.
can u drop ur controls? i think a lot of people would want to see that since the jets seem harder to fly in 2042
The game isn't even fully released , Silk is already mastering vehicles
jets def feel better than in the beta, however they do need their tweaks at least on the PS5 sometimes the AGM doesnt connect
