100% love that. I’m not a fan of yellow, but looks insanely good on alpine white. Also, still looks very OEM. My DRL LED’s on my F82 are turning yellowish, I might go this route!
I love it. Nothing to do with the M5 CS having yellow DRLs, ever since I was a kid seeing old endurance races, car at night with yellow lights look so sick.
Thanks for turning on the caution lights too. I was hesitant to do this mod because I thought the yellow would clash with the orange caution lights. I was right. Plus I have 2016 LED headlights. I don’t think yellow DRLs would look as good on mine.
I actually love your car. It is so clean looking. The only thing I don't like about it is the white stripe on the front splitter. Just my opinion though. Also to me the lights look pretty sick.
I agree with @giladv. If a electronic components needs a heatsink, the adhesive should be thermal glue (thermal adhesive tape in this case if removal is necessary). Thermal paste isn’t a glue- just adds a conductive layer that can be wiped off. Not sure if that specific JB weld more conductive vs obstructive to the heat dissipation, but keep an eye on it’s temp….most likely would burn out sooner than later. P.S car is siiiick 🤙
@@ThicWhips What do you plan to do with the yellow bulbs? I know you like to keep your stock stuff but maybe sell the yellow or do a giveaway. I would love to put those yellow on my car, I just have an F36 Gran Coupe but the car is silver and black and the yellow would go great on my color scheme.
Great Video my dude! just to maybe clear something up from a custom PC builder and f80 enthusiast. The thermal past used in between the top of a CPU processor and the CPU heatsink is designed to dissipate heat not for sticking two objects together. In most cases the CPU heatsink has it's own mechanism that holds the heatsink firm to the CPU head. Additionally the thermal paste compound is designed to transfer heat energy through to the adjacent metal heatsink and reduce air bubbles in the compound etc. etc. That being said I think thermal paste would do a great job at dissipating the heat from the LED modules but probably not that great of a job at keeping them in place without any other help. JB weld probably does a decent job at dissipating the heat and obviously does a great job of holding the module in place. Not 100% sure though only time will tell :D.
Also, I'm with you. I have a mineral white f80 and not sure the yellow and the white are the best color combo but also does look cool initially. Is it JDM or Nice? i'm in the middle too HAH
I noticed that the original board is slightly brighter so it’s definitely a good decision to use that for the yellow. The new yellow are bright, I love that look.
This is a great video. I like the format and content overall. I’d love to start changing a few things here or there, but I have an extended warranty by BMW, and if they see anything not stock, the scumbags will cancel the warranty and not pay for anything. That’s okay though, I’m okay with keeping my G82M stock. Keep up the good work.
The yellow DRL look fantastic on your M4 GTS. Since there is a heat sink on the DRL module that indicates that the DRL assembly goes through a heat cycle, thus thermal adhesive would be required. Although JB weld may work initially, the long-term effects of going through multiple heat cycles will cause it to fail. As a mechanical engineer and a person who also builds custom PC's as a hobby, thermal paste is a TIM (Thermal Interface Material) that facilitates the transference of heat from the CPU to the baseplate of the cooler either AIO (All In One) liquid cooler or Air cooler.
looks good but definitely looks better on dark colors as you said. Think it would stand out if you had yellow bars behind the grill and yellow calipers.
I will say this. I agree with you. However. White looks great. But you have a gts. I feel like the gts should come stock with something like that for headlights. I mean you have the taillights that are different. I only wish the turn signals would be white.
Honestly, after I saw the blinker and the yellow, I didn’t like it as much. I do wish the LED light was the Motorsport red, or light and dark blue, that would be dope.
Wasn’t feeling it that much before, and definitely wasn’t until I saw it on your car, looks really menacing. I like how you did it though because you can easily put the regular ones on.
It's ok but the yellow belongs on a crazier build, something with canards, widebody, and just an over the top build. With this car being a clean, simple, oem plus style build, the white drl just looks so much better, and fits the aesthetics of the build better.
I don't like yellow, hyper yellow or even crystal amber lights as corner or lights, DRLs on my trucks and cars, simply that in my area everyone seems to associate "yellow lighting or lights" with old or cautiously slow service DOT vehicles.. so I never for that fact even touch yellow lighting.. i would consider it on a project race car built for the track. That more sensible than driving in public roads confusing those ignorant drivers or non US-drivers and having them end up cause an accident near or around you due to their own confusion. But that just my state maybe its different in others.
You car will look insane whatever you do to it 😉 having said that the yellow and white is missing something, not sure what. I’m on the fence about this mod.
G30 550i just went pale yellow on outer driver side DRL. Guess an LED burned out. Going bright yellow all around. Shame BMW made it a chore to replace them >:(
Doubt it, the F22 version MIGHT fit. But i got no clue. You gotta ask Bayoptics about that, since the US didnt get the F20 that might be why they dont have a set which officially supports it.
Hey brotha I'm trying to find these damn chips for f30 oem xenon headlights for the angel eyes and can't find them even on ali what were you searching for if you don't mind?
I'm glad you did this .I'm thinking hard about it. I'm going to do what you did if I get these. Are the modules hard to install. They might look cool with Yas marina
Perhaps if it were interchangeable without having to take out the whole module.... for example if the yellow lights can changed back to white... Rather than having two different color lights.
If you wanted to change the whole build around those DRLs you could get a BMW Motorsport livery type of wrap, that could make those work :D Other than that, probably best to go back to white asap
100% love that. I’m not a fan of yellow, but looks insanely good on alpine white. Also, still looks very OEM.

I love it. Nothing to do with the M5 CS having yellow DRLs, ever since I was a kid seeing old endurance races, car at night with yellow lights look so sick.
that is probably not adhesive, it's probably thermal paste. the entire case is a heat sink. be careful not to burn those.
It is thermal adhesive not thermal paste
I took them off already lol
The moment I saw the yellow angels on the m5cs and CSL I wished the F8x platform had them too… def a awesome mod imo.
Thanks for turning on the caution lights too. I was hesitant to do this mod because I thought the yellow would clash with the orange caution lights. I was right. Plus I have 2016 LED headlights. I don’t think yellow DRLs would look as good on mine.

Fr would be perfect without that white on the splitter
I love the white stripe
@@bmwlovergamingfr I was just thinking damn that’s my favorite part😂
I’ve always been a fan of the yellow/amber lights. From my civic, to my Z and now to my truck, I have had yellow fogs or lights on them.

BMW’s can all start to look alike so the pop of yellow definitely makes it stand out.

These would look great in a 1970’s Citroen in France 🇫🇷, but not in a modern vehicle. That is just my opinion, but stick with what you love 💕!

That's some Myer lemon 🍋 right there. I think it's different and contrasts very well.
It actually looks really good.
Great video. Got back from the Nurburgring and quite a few have done this and it looks awesome. Gonna do it for my black f83 m4
The 340i owner definitely need this module too
I love the fact that you can change the color of the Drls but maybe yellow isn’t the best color to change to for your color of car
Wasn’t feeling it that much before, and definitely wasn’t until I saw it on your car, looks really menacing. I like how you did it though because you can easily put the regular ones on.
They look good but way better on a black car. I like the frosty look of the white drls.
Also, the lip on the white BMW subject in video, did you paint the edge of the CF lip white? Or is it tape?
It's ok but the yellow belongs on a crazier build, something with canards, widebody, and just an over the top build. With this car being a clean, simple, oem plus style build, the white drl just looks so much better, and fits the aesthetics of the build better.

Looks good lemon I’m going to put it on soon but I don’t know how it’s gonna look on my blue F82
Would these work on an F32?
has the JB weld held up or did you have to buy the adhesive?
I am definitely not doing this to my 23 BMW x3M. It looks cool. I like my whites better on my black
Those yellow drl's look cool like on the m5cs.
You car will look insane whatever you do to it 😉 having said that the yellow and white is missing something, not sure what. I’m on the fence about this mod.
That's is so nice where they placed the module, my f30 I have to take the bumper off.
Looks classic bmw to me and 🔥on the white paint. Doesn’t look “aftermarket” but why would that be such a bad thing?
Is this possible on pre lci ????
Are night/beam lights still with or they are yellow as well?
looks like thermal adhesives were used on OEM modules
Probably. Maybe. Doesn’t really matter since the yellow ain’t stayin lol
@@ThicWhips fair play. personally I quite like them. gives the car the extra pop and stands out from the rest.
Anyone knows after the install do you need to be program this to your car?
I have this on my alpine white OG M2! Looks so sick in person!!! Love your car and videos!!
I want to order the same for my bmw f22 but rgb so i can change the color with a app probably? I hope that build will be the same?
You could paint the front of the bottom lip yellow to get it blended in a bit?
Insanely good looking. But its up to you if u dont like it just take em off. Cant keep something u dont like
I’d say rock it for a while. I’m like you just in the middle On this mod. And I agree it looks sweet on the black cars
Where do you get the white decal on the Estoril blue in this video?
Kinda prefer the white to the yellow with that paint, or maybe an orange to match the caution or GTS accemt colors
Love the yellow! It looks soo menacing now! Legit live with it for a couple weeks but it has my vote!
People like when things are different. Nobody wants to buy a car that everyone has. Same with modifications to cars.
Your right, I think the lcis just look burnt out with f8xs
Do they only work with the Icon Headlights or just the regular DRL
Where did you order them from
Looks AWESOME
Did you have to disconnect the battery to swap them over?
Great looking units!
Looks very good.
I like the original color honestly, and I agree I think it looks good on the blacked out car but that’s it’s.
All white all day for me... the yellow is good on dark greens and purples.
I have a pre lci car without the updated headlights, is there a kit for mine?
It think it looks really good. Maybe it just looks weird because we are used to them being white, wich we are not as much for the g series ones.
Would these work for an f3x?
Yea they would cuz I just change mine a few weeks my car is dark gray
The yellow with the Alpine White looks cool 😎
I think those look hard af, especially on a white / black / silver car. Think I may just bite the bullet ya know
G30 550i just went pale yellow on outer driver side DRL. Guess an LED burned out. Going bright yellow all around. Shame BMW made it a chore to replace them >:(
Looks good especially with the projectors on. Different.
@14:29 Keep em they look good
I think the blue is cooler. It's subjective, if you like it great, if you're car club doesn't, well f-em!
Bro they look so sick to me!!! Great video 👍
Looks dope to me. Perhaps upgrade the hazards as well
Love it! Was wondering if i could get it for my f20 lci? Do you think the same chip will fit?
Doubt it, the F22 version MIGHT fit. But i got no clue. You gotta ask Bayoptics about that, since the US didnt get the F20 that might be why they dont have a set which officially supports it.
This has now come out for the f20/f21
Hey brotha I'm trying to find these damn chips for f30 oem xenon headlights for the angel eyes and can't find them even on ali what were you searching for if you don't mind?
Is this legal?
I have a black 4 series. I wanna make mine orange
Would blue drls look good? Similar color to the laser light concept m4
Go back to OEM rims and lip and then do an orange light!!!
*wheels
They look good on the white. I didn’t expect it but it looks very good
I want this mod for my f32 435i. Do they have it for pre-lci's??
I actually like them on your Alpine White
I think they look dope personally
Does someone know if they sell turnsignals in the frontlights for the bmw f22 year 2015?
Looks freaking sick in my opinion.
They're actually nice
do they make these for an 18 M550i ?
Do you know if these will work on 22 supra. Thanks
Will this work for f30?
I'm glad you did this .I'm thinking hard about it. I'm going to do what you did if I get these. Are the modules hard to install. They might look cool with Yas marina
You need the thermal glue to dissipate heat.
i dont know whether jb weld is the rigth choice but thermal paste to dissipate heat I would agree.
Perhaps if it were interchangeable without having to take out the whole module.... for example if the yellow lights can changed back to white... Rather than having two different color lights.
It is interchangeable. That’s what I showed in this video
I love it, got a pair for my F30 LCI as well.
Hi can u help me? i wanna get it for my f30 lci as well. i have a couple questions if you dont mind. 🙏🏼
Thank you in advance
It looks different but I prefer a clean white.
Did he sell his GTS? hes not posting about it anymore
Exist this mod for the f20??
option for F13 ?
maybe a Orange set? - because GTS
I like the yellow tbh.
anything for f30?
Keep your car clean… the original ones are beautiful.
Car is clean
If you wanted to change the whole build around those DRLs you could get a BMW Motorsport livery type of wrap, that could make those work :D Other than that, probably best to go back to white asap
Hey curious if this works on f30 chassis i have a 16 328i with the full led lights
Bayoptics have a different set for the F30.
It looks amazing!
I like them but they defo look better on black cars.
