    • @DuckSherminator
      @DuckSherminator 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't even mention the car because I don't think you have it in Canada... It's a Lada Niva, designed by the Soviets, perfect from the start (design barely changed since 1977). Simple, robust and very capable 4x4, designed for Russians living in the rural areas.
      Fell in love with the car when I was a kid. Go check it out, they're unique to say the least !
      Now that I've said that, I can also say that it'll probably be the only one in the world with a ceramic coating 😅

    I noticed that you mainly show "brand new" cars - is there any chance that you could do a full prep of an old dirty car? :-)

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +37

      That's because my main customer basis buys new cars, often luxury brands. After 20+ years of detailing, I get to pick and chose the jobs I do. When I had first started, I was working hard detailing super old and dirty vehicles and as you gain more experience and grow your reputation, you get to enjoy the finer vehicles. That's the way the world turns.
      But to answer my viewers who wanted to see me detail an older car, I went ahead and did a video for a 2006 Toyota Corolla that had never been detailed. Here: th-cam.com/video/7zqovDt7NIU/w-d-xo.html

I've just started using the rinseless method and have just been swiping ing the wheels and tires with the sponge since it's a new car and very clean (wheel wise) and focusing more on getting a overall gel for the rinseless method. I was thinking during the last wash (last night) that I needed to start employing all the tire and wheel cleaning products I bought and your w & t clement demo here is the perfect quick tutorial.

    9 hours! That's not bad. It takes me 2 days without polishing stage now as an amateur. I also apply Sonax gasket protector to prevent doors from freezing shut and I apply Turtle Graphene Flex Wax to inside door jams as well. I think I can save a lot of time with Geon Wet Coat - just spray on and a clay tewel insted of cley bar. I also had to remove water spots with Gtechniq Glass Polish, as Carpro Descale, nor Carpro Spotless 2.0 could not make a dent in those old buggers.

    Hey Pan! Big fan of your videos. I had a couple of questions if you didn't mind.
    1) What is your dilution ratios to Purple Power and Clean Slate? Also, are CarPro Reset and Clean Slate considered the same thing?
    2) I am assuming you would only use Purple Power and CarPro Reset/Clean Slate when you are detailing a new car or prepping it before/after winter to get everything else off and apply a sealant/ceramic coating. I am only planning on doing a simple sealant when I wash my car at home. My question is once it is applied, which products would you use in place of those two? I don't think you'd need to use purple power or reset every time so what would you use for maintenance washes once the protection is applied?
    Thanks for reading!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sarbjot! Thanks for your support.
      1). I add 3 oz of Purple Power Vehicle and Boat Wash to my foam cannon container with approximately 20 oz of water in it. For Clean Slate, I add 1 oz to 5 gallons of water in a wash bucket. CarPro Reset is a pH neutral shampoo meant to wash ceramic coated cars. Chemical Guys Clean Slate is a stripping shampoo made to remove older layers of waxes and sealants. They are not the same thing.
      2) You can use CarPro Reset during regular maintenance washes on ceramic coated cars. It was designed to work perfectly with ceramic coatings. It's a pH neutral soap and is safe for coatings.

    • @sarbjotsingh8269
      @sarbjotsingh8269 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pan TheOrganizer thank you I really appreciate it! If I just plan to put a sealant on the car for now, what would be a good maintenance wash soap for that which doesn’t strip it? I’m guessing the common ones like Adams car shampoo or megiuars gold class or chemical guys snow foam would be okay correct?

    Pan, thanks - another great, helpful video. One question I have for you regarding new cars, do you recommend getting them rustproofed? There doesn't seem to be one consensus out there about that. What do you recommend?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Bill. Concerning rustproofing, it depends on what type of car you own. You have to check if such a thing would void your warranty. For example, on German luxury brands like BMW, Audi and Mercedes, the manufacturers will void your corrosion warranty if you have a rustproofing applied. They use higher quality metals and rust isn't an issue with those types of cars. But for most other brands/makes, then yes I would absolutely apply rustproofing. Just check your user's manual to see if that would void your corrosion warranty first.

    Great video but I have a question, using a dedicated agent to strip the oils and waxes like you did using dupli-color grease and wax remover, is it better than using an IPA solution or in a case like this either product should work fine? Reason I ask is because I want to know if I should make an investment and buy a dedicated stripping agent

      Both work great. I often use CarPro Eraser or Gyeon Prep, and the Dupli-Color is a body solvent that's used in many pro painting shops to prep panels before paint.

    I just now watched this awesome video , and truly enjoyed it. Questions. Can a step where a wax is applied be added to this as well, if so, where would that step fall into this sequence? Asking cause my son in law just purchased a brand new Toyota SUV and asked if I could detail it for him and add a ceramic coating. I am very new to the detailing world and am learning as much as possible. I think I am going to use CC hydroslick since I am still trying to learn and figured this would be my safest option. Thoughts? Thanks again, I am learning alot from your videos

    Pan, another wonderfully detailed start to finish. The results are impressive. I did have a question about the plastic light covers. Is there something that you add to make them stay clear? I didn't notice that. I had seen a Chris Fix on fixing dull plastic, & that works for a spell; Scotty Kilmer has something to keep them clear, & I just wondered what you use? I was also wondering if you ever detail the engine compartment, or is that or another company because of all the electronics & sensors that can be damaged by water & ??? - My sister was surprised at how clean my engine compartment was, because every few washes, I clean it too with the wash water & a decreasing spray & brush. & sometimes the plastic covers get an Armor All wipe too. Seeing that, by a person that never cleaned the engine compartment was a funny :-) well, for me...

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always apply two coats of ceramic coating to headlights and tail lights (just like the paint). Ultimate UV protection.
      I can do engine bay detailing, but at an added cost. I already spend 10 hours on these details. And the owner has to understand that I can't be held responsible if anything happens (although I've never had issues detailing engine bays in 20+ of detailing).

    Well, where to start:
    1st - Another awesome detailed video/tutorial !!
    Do your neighbours ask for help ? guess they must be seeing You all the time and the results are amazing !
    a few questions:
    • when applying the ceramic coating can one use the towel for the entire car before throwing it away or do you need to get a new one for each panel ?
    • blowdrying the vehicle, I've seen a few detailers using a leafblower, it's a cheaper alternative, but do You recommend it ?
    Will see this one a couple of times, much to learn. Once again - Great videos and perfectly presented !!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks!! Yes my neighbours are very jealous and often pull the classic line "You know you can do my car when you're done with that one!" Heheheh
      When applying a coating, I typically use two towels to buff off and level the coating. You can get away with using just one if it's a smaller car.
      I have an awesome MasterBlaster Revolution car dryer that's designed for drying vehicles. I did a review here: th-cam.com/video/5g_n3E97Brc/w-d-xo.html
      But yes you could use a leaf blower if it's powerful enough.

    Really enjoy your videos and the passion you put into your craft. It's cool that you show us the tools you use, and I'm wondering, aside from the cloths that need to be tossed after ceramic coating, how do you maintain some of the other cloths, tire shine applicator, mittens, etc. I presume you simply replace a lot of what you use fairly often because they get worn and you do this for a living, but I need to hang onto any materials for as long as possible. Would appreciate any tips and sorry if I couldn't find/missed your video on that.

    • @PanTheOrganizer

      Both will achieve similar results. It's simply their application that is different. You use one or either, not both. That's overkill.
      HydrO2 needs to be applied on a wet surface and immediately rinsed off with a pressure washer. Reload can be applied on a wet or dry surface.
