I'll never be looking for a place in NYC but I love seeing all the neighborhoods and boroughs, love all the tours and historical information and, of course, Cash's appealing personality---all keep me coming back on the regular. I'm so glad I escaped NYC with my elderly parents in 2019.
Best decision I've ever made, I'm glad I was able to give my parents a peaceful place for the end of their lives.
I will be keeping the apartment though it's been in the family sense the late 18 hundreds. It's a beautiful place full of things my family had collected over the decades.

I took my parents to the ranch they have in New Mexico, unfortunately my mother passed last April.
I live in NV, my father moved in with me in May we are having a guest house built for him so he has his own space. It will be done by the end of December.

It is extremally expensive to put a place like this into storage. I believe it was almost $60k to have everything covered, sealed and protected. Our contract is for 11 years. The only people that should be going in would be an inspector twice a year and the exterminator every month.
This isn't the 1st time we have done this, NYC got really dangerous in the late 60s, 70s and 80s when my mother inherited the place I actually never went there till the late 80s myself in my late teens.
During the depression I understand that my grandmother, mother and her brother and sister didn't leave the building for the 1st 5 years or so of there lives. They only went outside on the terraces, never to the ground only my grandfather went down to the street for many years.

Most of these protests aren’t just “anti-war.” Many of the chants are specifically anti-Jewish and calling for death to Jews. Saying these protests are having a profound effect around the world, but not mentioning the increasing violence towards Jews around the world seems too one-sided to call this unbiased reporting.

actually he is lying, people don't really "clash with police" would be more correct to say police clash with the protesters. they move in and arrest a few people to justify their fat union paychecks. its really just theater. after the protesters are booked they are released about 95% of the time because they weren't doing anything illegal. There are attorneys that volunteer and stand guard to make sure popo thug doesn't overstep their boundaries like use excessive force, make up false charges, etc. In that he has never been part of an organized protest its fairly obvious, they educate you on what to do if the popo singles you out, you can see they are following instructions, they don't resist arrest, if you do then that is an actual crime.

The Jewish groups here in the Washington, D.C. area protesting for a ceasefire also ended in arrests but this was planned civil disobedience with no violence, no throwing things. Entirely peaceful, the young protesters sang Hebrew songs and carried signs about the terrible situation in Gaza. As an older American Jew, I was so impressed. Hamas is evil and their murdering attack on Israeli civilians was horrible. But the majority of people being injured and killed in Gaza are not those attackers.
Where would you make the distinction? Are Hamas supporters innocent, sympathizers, enablers? Is the cheering crowd innocent? Are people who watch abuse and do nothing innocent? Can an organization which started a war expect leniency? Can an entity which harbors such an organization expect it?
with good intentions? They are protesting in country that has no influence over Israel or Palestine
America is playing an active role in what is happening. From the sales of weapons, to the troops on the ground, and providing political cover and protection to Israel.
