I'm really sorry I wasn't able to make to it VCF Midwest this year - I'd have been thrilled to meet you and Maccy in person. But you know how it goes, life sometimes just gets in the way. Maybe next year. I did watch some of the VCF Midwest videos, though, including the streamers' panel, and I was happy to see that you were part of it. My best suggestion for the nervousness of being on stage at these kinds of events is to close your eyes for a moment and imagine that everyone in the audience is... a fan who cares about you and really wants to hear what you have to say - because, well, at any VCF convention, that's exactly what they are.
It was an amazing show and it was fun to be there and meet all the wonderful people, and exhibit our stuff! Pleasure meeting you for the first time as well!
Thanks for the mini Maccy and for signing my IIsi at VCF MW 19! Great video summary of the show. I didn't have much time to go through the con so this video helps me to know what was there!
It was awesome meeting you and I cherish my mini Maccy, who will always be sitting by my primary desktop with me! Plus speaking of things finding a good home, I was glad to get some Apple II software into your hands, haha
@11:08 - Wow, a Logical Machines "Adam"! My dad actually had one of these back in the early 80s. He started with a "Tina" in the late 70s, and upgraded at some point. This was the first computer that I ever used. It looked different than the one in the video though. These are so uncommon, I have to comment whenever one comes up.
Kate I had a great time finally meeting you ,Maccy , Dave in person Enjoyed having Friday lunch with all of you. that was my first VCF WoW so much to see there can't Waite for next year.
So many awesome vintage computers, thanks for sharing them with us! But I'm mostly jealous that you got to meet Jeri Ellsworth, she's like my hero. One of these years I'll make it back to the US America, and I'll definitely plan to visit one of the VCFs when I do.
I 2nd the idea of a 3-Day VCFMW show. It was a great show, as well as overwhelming all at the same time. I'm already preparing for next year's show. Looking forward to all the fun. :)
Those floppy disk earrings are cool! It's good to see that they managed to find a new and bigger venue for VCF MW, I had heard online from Techknight that last year's had some power delivery problems and it was messing with his WeatherSTAR setup a bit.
4:59 i wonder if they make this for the imac 2013. Very very cool. Instead of making more comments I just have to say this was awesome, so many interesting projects, 3d printing, braille 11:41 id like to see the long form interview of this and more.
Hey! As a Gen Xer, I too spent a few fun hours at Chuck E. Cheese in my childhood and I take exception to the suggestion that only those Millennial babies remember that :P . Our location had a tunnel under the stage, and you could hear the puppet machinery thumping around overhead. The convention looks like a lot of fun, thanks for sharing!
I am Gen X and also got to go once (we didn't live in the States all the time, so there was only one opportunity). When I was in college, I was driving a friend and we saw a Chuck E. Cheese ahead on the freeway and impulsively got off to have lunch there. We pulled up in the parking lot before it dawned on us that two adult men walking into there without kids might be awkward, so we turned around and left!
I brought my Macintosh Centris back in after I got dinner, but it seems like you left the show at the same time so I couldn't get your autograph. Hopefully I'll have an actual table next year with that Centris on display, as well as something new for everyone to sign. Either way, see you at VCFMW 20! It really has been that long...
The show's final year at the Clarion Inn was my first time at VCF Midwest, so I was a little bit too overwhelmed to see how "gritty" it was, but they did graciously host the show for a few years, despite the growing numbers of attended each year. So I give them that at least! It was fantastic meeting you and Maccy, and I'm very much looking forward to next year!
Some fantastic stuff shown at VCF Midwest, especially that high resolution color Macintosh Portable and all the 3D stuff Javier created, not to mention Ron's creations too. Glad to see you and Maccy had a blast!
Great video, Ms Fox. I liked the slow paced video where you detailed the main booths you were interested in. After holding Maccy all day, your arms must be tired!
Awesome video!! Now i want to go to vcf midwest. Im going to have to go to vcf southwest next year though!! That’ll be my first time to any vcf!! So excited!!
Reminds me of the late 80’s and early 90’s… There where a lot of computer fairs in my country. I really wish it will come back again. Or visit the VCWMW one day😂 But then I am gonna try to get an autograph from Maccy and miss Fox😊
I was very impressed with the venue and the HUGE variety of stuff at VCF... unfortunately, I'd apparently picked up a bug on the way down and ended up deciding it was best to step out soon after my arrival... Next year!
Ahh Gateway.. I have a boss who is a massive tech geek, and also Apple fan, but given half the chance, I suspect would still be using Gateway PCs if we could still purchase them. I believe you can still get Gateway branded PCs, but these are are actually acer machines. Also, at my college, we had one of those power bar things. I don't recall any blind or partially sighted students on my course, but it was interesting to see it..
How can a raspberry pi Pico support emulation of a 512k Mac when a base Pico only has like 260 something k of ram? Was it a pico 2? Even then, it would be a tight fit.
Kate and Maccy! I missed you! Its been so long since your last video. Do you happen to have any plans for pacific northwest convention attendance? It would be great to meet Maccy. xD Its really cool as well that you're going into mini-discs! I wanted to do that earlier this year for recording music onto (my own music!). But didnt know what to buy on ebay. I need someone who can help me.
I've been wanting to get into minidisc lately too! Techmoan has a bunch of videos on them and definitely check it out. I'm still figuring out which one to get, hoping you find your MD too!
I really look forward to meeting you in-person sometime soon at a VCF Conference. I might as well give my advanced apology for the trance I might go in once I see you in-person (knowing how inappropriate that would be, however sometimes a heart takes over).
Someday I'll make it. Until then I shall continue living vicariously through all these excellent mini documentaries!
They are mega fun ! Although you will be a celebrity there. Bring a sharpie for autographs !
I was so happy to finally meet you and Maccy in person and YES Maccy is real!
I'm confused. What do you mean "real"? Is it remote controlled like a puppet or pre-recorded?
Love your expression at 24:06, Ms. Fox! Portrait quality! 😆🧡
oh wow, thank you for the focus on the braille booth and the core memory booth! these are awesome!!!
amazing collection of links too!!!

It was a pleasure to meet you and everyone else at VCF! Thanks for stopping by the Juicy Crumb booth and saying hi!
It was awesome meeting you and I cherish my mini Maccy, who will always be sitting by my primary desktop with me! Plus speaking of things finding a good home, I was glad to get some Apple II software into your hands, haha

There I am recording Maccy on an old iPod nano.
It was nice to see you in-person for the first time! Had a blast hanging out with my favorite tech enthusiasts-hope to be back next year :)
Glad I got to meet you too !
This looks like so much fun. I should really go to a VCF sometime. Thank you so much for sharing, Ms. Fox and Maccy! #ReturnOfTheMac! 🎶

MACCY IS REAL! 22:25. Great review, Ms. Fox!
Kate I had a great time finally meeting you ,Maccy , Dave in person Enjoyed having Friday lunch with all of you. that was my first VCF WoW so much to see there can't Waite for next year.
It was great hanging out with you too ! Maccy and I were talking about how cool you were on the flight home 🏠 👁️
Super cool. I attended my first VCF this summer at VCF Southeast. I hope it continues to grow. We'd love to see you, Maccy, and others there!
So many awesome vintage computers, thanks for sharing them with us! But I'm mostly jealous that you got to meet Jeri Ellsworth, she's like my hero. One of these years I'll make it back to the US America, and I'll definitely plan to visit one of the VCFs when I do.
It was so nice to finally meet you! Had so much fun at my first VCF. Shiggity shwa!
Also lol to the outro music. That is excellent.
@@CanadianComputerCollector Gotta love the bloopers at the credits.
Maccy finally got to meet Crusty! I wish I could have been there to see it for myself, VCFMW wasn't in the cards this year. Glad you had fun!
I 2nd the idea of a 3-Day VCFMW show. It was a great show, as well as overwhelming all at the same time. I'm already preparing for next year's show. Looking forward to all the fun. :)
2:47 I really like the recreation parts, for me I live like new tech and new panels & housing makes them new to me.
Those floppy disk earrings are cool! It's good to see that they managed to find a new and bigger venue for VCF MW, I had heard online from Techknight that last year's had some power delivery problems and it was messing with his WeatherSTAR setup a bit.
Techknight is awesome, glad they found a good venue this year!
This honestly one of the coolest channels on TH-cam! Maccy is the best!!
Really great video Miss Fox! It was wonderful to get Maccy’s perspective!
This was my first VCWMW as well, it was nice meeting you guys and look forward to seeing what next year brings.

Fantastic video! I’d really love to visit such an interesting festival someday 🤩
Oh My that Gateway 2000. I had a P5-90 in that case *cries at the nostalgia*. Was my first windows PC in 1995.
The original SGI building in Santa Clara CA is now a computer museum itself.

19:44 who needs a standing desk when you got that many drives! Love it. 😂❤
VCF Midwest was so good, and every time I watch someone’s video about it I spot things I missed ha. Was lovely to meet you at Galloping ghost!
It was great to meet you too! you look just like your icon!
It was a great show, and it was great finally meeting you and Maccy in person!
It was so great to meet you and Maccy, and to introduce you and the channel to my sister and brother-in-law!

The "cloud computing" thing we are all into, is basically a come-back of the mainframes and terminals.

Hopefully I'll have an actual table next year with that Centris on display, as well as something new for everyone to sign. Either way, see you at VCFMW 20! It really has been that long...
Thank you for this detailed virtual experience! Being in the UK makes it very unlikely I'll ever be able to go, so I really appreciate it.
I am glad you enjoyed it ! Maybe you can make an international trip!

So many cool things here! The braille devices are really neat, and LIVE MUSIC! What! Thanks for sharing .
Thanks for watching!

I just wish I could convince Veronica and all to put out the set on video.
Great video, Ms Fox. I liked the slow paced video where you detailed the main booths you were interested in. After holding Maccy all day, your arms must be tired!
17:00 Cool Thunderbird bass (or look alike)
I still have an LCIII, a 6100 and a Blue G3. Your channel makes me nostalgic. In Spain it was not easy to be an Apple fan boy in the 90s.
Awesome video!! Now i want to go to vcf midwest. Im going to have to go to vcf southwest next year though!! That’ll be my first time to any vcf!! So excited!!
Aw, Maccy's getting so tall!
Hey, during your Stop Bits footage, we get a cameo from Boatfest regular Ken, of Canadian Retro Things fame.
Awesome video Kate! I feel like I was there :) Love the mini Apple //s!
Glad you liked it boat !!
Thank for you sharing all the fun happenings at VCF! Also, chiptuned Mark Morrison?! The last thing I expected to hear was Return of the Mack! 🤣
need one of these is northern va or dc you did a great job

I hope a vintage show comes to Los Angeles one day!
VCF SoCal! Check it out
@@MacintoshLibrarian Thanks. Of course it has to happen on my Doctor Who convention weekend! GallifreyOne! :o
Jeri Ellsworth is such a superstar 🌟
I miss you so much!!!
Awesome meeting you and Maccy IRL.
Was great to see you there! Hope you can make it in 2025 too!
I'll be there !
I was very impressed with the venue and the HUGE variety of stuff at VCF... unfortunately, I'd apparently picked up a bug on the way down and ended up deciding it was best to step out soon after my arrival... Next year!
Ugh! That’s no fun. Hope you feel better and can make it next year!
The event looked amazing
Great video!

When I grow up I want to be a Stop Bits groupie. Veronica is such a dream...... :)
ASM as song lyrics is brilliant.

PS - That artwork is fantastic!!!
Was that a clip from the show Reboot? Lol
Yes ! Good catch
Reboot still rocks and still fresh more than 30 years later (despite how some things are a bit dated).
Was that The 8-Bit Guy at 7:00?
"return of the mac" nice
Man. I need to sign up for a mailing list or something.

Aw man, I wish I would’ve known about this event
Machi probably had a blast ❤
"But its a talking mac!"
Hell yeah
On one hand I like seeing this and on the other hand, this shouldn't be shared on the web.
Torn to see how much group think of escapism is celebrated.
OMFG,YOU AND CLINT LRG GUY WOULD BE A CUTE COUPLE
Seeing Chuckie Cheese's brains was interesting.
5:47 collab when? :D
Need fun 😀
This was amazing, really tweeks my autistic brain.
Why are Apple products far more popular with women than men? Personally, I like their ease-of-use and aesthetic appeal.
Ms. Fox❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
you and the harp girl look so similar
What effect would it have on you if someone walked up to you and said you look so similar to "the flute boy?"
I really look forward to meeting you in-person sometime soon at a VCF Conference. I might as well give my advanced apology for the trance I might go in once I see you in-person (knowing how inappropriate that would be, however sometimes a heart takes over).
