Teresa Laiz is a Spanish Concert Castanets interpreter. She is a creative soul, always looking for new ways of achieving different music results in the world of castanets.
Teresa Laiz was born in Madrid (1966). She started playing castanets over 30 years ago fue to her Spanish dancing. She estudiad with great masters of castanets such as Víctor Ullate, Ana Mercedes, Rafael de Córdoba, Candela Soto, La Tani, El Farruquito, Juan Carlos Lérida, Belén Maya.
She met Maestro José de Udaeta in 2005 and she discover the fascinating world of Concert Castanets. Teresa Laiz started her career as a Castanets soloist back in 2006. She writes her own scores and offers concerts with a wide repertoire of music: from popular Spanish songs to classical and Flamenco. A passionate virtuoso of castanets.
