Ken Kaneki is an amazing character. He is the dark side of the moon that is not seen. Someone who does want to hurt others. But he goes through intense pain. We see his bright smile. Then there is his DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.

No real fan would only watch the Anime, if you want a better experience just read the Manga which is objectively better than Anime
Not much people wanna read the manga even i dont read it. Its pretty boring reading a book. The only times manga is useful is information wise wanting to know more. But other then that. Looking at a book or not doesnt make you not a fan or a true fan at all.
People dont feel like looking at the manga. Its kinda like how youtubers explain lore in 5 minutes. Except with a video is just more interesting to watch then read

However death sounds more as a relief of your problems and your burden . You don't have to keep facing the world or reality just an endless sleep or whatever lies after death
While the live keep striving , to survive. They keep feeling pain , sadness , guilt , anger and everything else we can imagine
Which is probably why when someone dies sometimes they die with a smile looking happy. Usually the people who have gone through a lot in life and they are finally relived off their burden

Depending on each person's experience with life they create their own convictions and idials
But, you can also learn from each of these people and keep what is best for yourself , learning from them , from their mistakes or their life exprience , helps you build a better *perspective* of life . A better judgement for everything . A better personality . Tokyo Ghoul was an amazing series even with season 3 been a bit bad . I still loved it regarless

take Arima's two encounters as a reference, Arima was one of the best people Kaneki has ever come to know, someone that loves cares understands and respects him, a father and a mentor figure, he encouraged Kaneki to solve and escape the past.
Arima defeated Kaneki in the first encounter, and he lost in the other, during that time in Kaneki's life he started his ways anew, he made a dream, he learned more and more of himself, and saw some of life wonders, only to get more qualified and improved for the rematch with Arima, and soon after Arima's death Kaneki is fulfilled and overcome his old ways and the tragedies.
the improvment fulfillment and one's will, is all chatacteristics that Kaneki loves especially in the white hair character, as they are the light side of life and white haired Kaneki was refered to the full moon in the manga like a spark of light.
We lose. We take. We catch and get caught. We conform. And we make others conform. We do nothing but cycle between those to roles. Take what we can and fight not to lose more then we must. But as hard as we fight we will lose it all. The people we love and were loved by will die. No matter what…. Someday we’ll be forgotten. To live is to be unhappy. It’s futile! Even so….
