He broke barriers, record sales (longest selling LP in Billboard history to this day) and is a national treasure with an astoundingly range who has more raw talent than can be measured He has earned this honor. The last living singer from the golden age of crooners still sounds great at 87 years of age. His voice hasn't changed much from the 1950s-60s (just listen to "Misty" from 52:25 - 55:25). Here's hoping Johnny would continue entertaining us for many years to come.

I've seen Johnny a few times in concert in the past with my (now passed) mother. The concerts were special times for us. Johnny's music is timeless and reminds me of simpler times when talent and class didn't need laser light shows or auto-tune. An orchestra and a voice...simply beautiful.

Having just watched this Elderly Statesman of Music, I am amazed at his stamina, to sing so many songs …and what’s more… to do all that while walking around the stage, almost non stop. As a fellow Octogenarian 86, his stamina puts me to shame. His breathing control, to capture each special moment of the melody, was beyond belief. The orchestra was Top rate, and I thank you for putting this Video on TH-cam. P.s ….and he still has all that hair!
What a blessing. I’ve been in love with Johnny since I was 10. I’m 73 now. As a little girl when I visited my Aunt and Uncle, they would play his records. That was 1960. I was forever hooked. Over the years I’ve been blessed to go to 4 of his concerts here in Massachusetts. My husband and I loved him. My husband passed away 2021. I feel blessed to catch this Concert tonight August 2, 2023, before going to bed. I’m going to play again in the morning, relive my memories of being with my husband at his very special concerts. My Aunt is still alive same age as Johnny Mathis. Thank you Auntie Gloria for playing his records. Grateful♥️♥️🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

I've seen Johnny a few times in concert in the past with my (now passed) mother. The concerts were special times for us. Johnny's music is timeless and reminds me of simpler times when talent and class didn't need laser light shows or auto-tune. An orchestra and a voice...simply beautiful.

Having just watched this Elderly Statesman of Music, I am amazed at his stamina, to sing so many songs …and what’s more… to do all that while walking around the stage, almost non stop.
As a fellow Octogenarian 86, his stamina puts me to shame.
His breathing control, to capture each special moment of the melody, was beyond belief.
The orchestra was Top rate, and I thank you for putting this Video on TH-cam.

What a blessing. I’ve been in love with Johnny since I was 10. I’m 73 now. As a little girl when I visited my Aunt and Uncle, they would play his records. That was 1960. I was forever hooked. Over the years I’ve been blessed to go to 4 of his concerts here in Massachusetts. My husband and I loved him. My husband passed away 2021. I feel blessed to catch this Concert tonight August 2, 2023, before going to bed. I’m going to play again in the morning, relive my memories of being with my husband at his very special concerts. My Aunt is still alive same age as Johnny Mathis. Thank you Auntie Gloria for playing his records. Grateful♥️♥️🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

Johnny has been my favorite since I was 12 (78 now) He has sung me thru good and bad times. I have been wondering for a long while why the greatest singer of all time is never paid his due. There is only one Johnny Mathis! He has a singularly unique style and voice. God broke the mold when he made Johnny and graced us with his heavenly inimitable voice. He is ageless and astounding and has one of the most beautiful song catalogs I have ever heard. It simply confounds me that he has not been given the recognition as one of the greatest singers of all time. I hope Tptb of the Kennedy Center for the Arts wakes up and honors this man before the 12th of never.
