Murray Cod Bait Fishing | Echuca Moama

One morning, Murray Cod Biat Fishing at Echuca Moama on my birthday, I managed to produce a couple of good Murray Cod. The Murray River at Echuca Moama was looking amazing, and I was confident on arrival that bait fishing was going to produce the goods. In this video, I share some of my knowledge and fishing tips when bait fishing for Murray Cod on the Murray River.

Hey Brenton. Yes the traffic on the river can horrendous on the weekends and over the Xmas break. I tend to stay away over the upcoming period.

Hi. Just arrived home in SA after the Cod Classic and fishing last week with very little success. Down here the Murray may be deeper, so I usually tire to a snags but I noticed last week that people anchored. What style and weight anchor are you using in the post, I googled cow bow anchor with no result. Nice fish

Hi Leon. Yes I use a cow bell wieght as an anchor. I use a U bolt to connect a metre of chain to it which is connected to my boat rope. I use a 12kg weight as per the link. In my 30 yrs of boating, this has been the best option.
