Hi John, I am from West Germany and I am 63. But my heart is still after so meany years out to learn the Fiddle. I never got the chance to learn it, but now you gave it to me. The way you teach is somtimes a little tricky, but I hang on to it, allmost everyday. Thank you so much for your lessons.
This was a very instructional but I'm a beginner and I'm going to have to review it several times to follow all of the chords you mentioned. I understand the finger positions but it would have been more helpful to see a close up of each finger position. Otherwise this was a good and helpful video.
Note taken! This tutorial was a bit fast and will require a lot of slow-down and replay for beginners. It was a first-pass... I'll take it more slowly in the future!
Nice and helpful video. Will be fantastic when you add note names on screen along video. I know it is a lot of work but of us whose ear is not perfect and language is not English this is difficult to follow and learn. Thank you very much anyway.

Fantastic. I'm so glad I signed up for your lessons. I've learned so much. Thanks you.
Awesome again John! I've got my $35 fiddle and waiting for my $25 bow in the mail... then I'll be pestering you! Thanks for your tips!
Such an awesome video! I've been learning a bit of theory and chords, so fitting it into a song was the perfect next step!!
Nice video! The end was pure gold.
Very good lesson. Thanks!
The Fretted Viper Violin w/ it's frets make it easy.
How can I sign up for a lesson please?

JohnJennifer Cockman Well yes but you are on the right track in showing how cords are played and the song you used is the first one I learned.

My fiddle violin does not have bars along the neck. It was very inexpensive. So how do I mark them?
I use the "don't fret sticker." It is available at Amazon.
Happy New Year ;))
Are you teaching cords yet?
Actually on the violin they are called arpeggios. Patterns in thirds.
Arpeggios mean nothing ... It is just a name ... how to do it is what this video is about.
