I live in the Northeast part of the U.S. and have travelled into Montreal several times over the years - great city - it was so fun and nostalgic to see your footage
Hi Zoe! I’m a Québécoise living in Montreal as well and I really enjoy your vlogs! I appreciate in this one how you address the French language situation in Quebec. I know for most people it’s harder to learn French than it is to simply speak English and some people have zero interest in learning French, but I am really happy when anglophones speak (or at least make an effort to speak) French 😊❤
Can you please do a day where you do your top 10. That way if we only had one day you basically planned it for us. It gives us a realistic idea of a balanced tourists day
I'm learning English to left Brazil and to go to Canadá to work as a Product Designer and this video it's sooo comfy for me, it's like we are friends and I'm learning English with your words hahah I'm scared with this process, but in the same time I'm feeling so excited with it, because it sounds like a new start to make the things better.
Montreal looks so beautiful Zoe! I'd love to visit one day for sure. I definitely want to see more Montreal vlogs, the spot with the lake was stunning aaahh 😍 I'd love to see more cafés, restaurants, nature & thrift stores 🙈
I’m moving to MTL in a couple of months and loved this vlog!! I was born there and lived there till was 8 but that was so long ago that it’s pretty much a new city to me.
Such a beautiful city, Zoe! I love how productive your day is. No wonder why my life coach Lisa Haisha who is also a content creator told me to watch your vlogs. You both have similar mindset. Looking forward to watching more of your vlogs.
I love living in Montreal, I moved here like almost 8 years ago now and still discover new things to love! One of my favorite brunch places in Janine/Regine
@@readingforklaire3252 hiii! rent is much better than most canadian cities, but it's more expensive that it used to be pre-covid :) You can still find good deals though!
Lived in the UK for 7 yrs, then MTL for 5 yrs (my fav city in Can), then Toronto, and now Im in Colombia and moving back somewhere in Ontario by the end of the year! And yes! please do more MTL vlogs! 😍🤩
This vlog was so very good. I needed that today, since the weather here has been very rainy. I would love to see more content like this. I actually was sad when it came to the end. Thanks again for your thoughtful vlogs ❤️
In 2 months I'm going to Montreal for studying 1 whole month there, I was kinda scared about not knowing anything about this city but your video helped me a lot! Thanks and Hi from Mexico city ❤
Hi, I have some questions for you. What are the best places to go in Montréal to meet new people ? What would you advise to a student for his first experience aboard, especially in Montréal ? Are there places that you would don't advise for specifics reasons ? Is Montreal a safe city compared to other country where you travelled ?
I was In Montreal before the pandemic. I loved it such a nice city Ut was summer I don’t want to go in winter everybody was. Nice and we went to Quebec City too
Brunch is a staple here but i disagree, you dont wait that long, maybe at the popular places and definitely on a weekend but not so much on a week day, and theres tons of spots to go to, same with cafes, lunch or dinners and cocktail/wine bars, we have a everything here 😂 But the important thing here is the dog is adorable and what breed is it, is it a mix? I love it 😍
Hey Zoe, such a fun video. Arthurs is my fav brunch spot & one info i thought id share : they have a pop up at the cathcart (open on weekdays only) theres more tables and you can book online . The menu is smaller but they have my favs so im ok w that. Went twice already and its such a good alternative in my opinion :)
thank you for the video, it's very insightful. I'm planning to move from Vancouver to Montreal within the next couple of years and I don't speak French so was a little worried. will def learn once I'm there or even months ahead though :)
As much as I want to leave ON and live in Montreal, not only living cost is cheaper, but culture and food, scenic views and everything always gets me. However, French scares me alot. I wish to learn the language, but I guess I'm anxious and terrified of "what if I cannot even get min. wage job, because I don't speak French" sort of situation. Not to mention I'm immigrant + PoC combo might even make people hostile to think that I show no effort in learning their culture + language. I've been waitlisted to learn gov. funded French class but it's very limited and I don't think I'll able to get a seat till next year haha. So I'd rather just go and soak myself directly into day-to-day life as I did with English in TO. But ENG was different case as I was learning it for years prior to actually landing somewhere it's spoken as primary language.
I've always heard that Canadian French spoken in Quebec is really different than French spoken in Europe. Is there any truth to that? Like can you understand Parisians for example or vice versa?
I loved this vlog and I would love to see more videos where you visit specific neighbourhoods and try different activities. I have visited Montreal once and I would love to come back soon but flight prices from BC are ridiculous.😂

we definitely speak differently, but think of it like a different accent, not a different language. Like British vs North American English
