    Stanley rotator is a godsend for working on motorcycles with fairings.

    That ratchet at 13:35 with the black handle looks like a Performance Tool ratchet.

    That milwuakee handle looks very similar to the Wright comfort handle. I've always preferred knurled handle ratchets until I tried the Wright comfort handle and now it's definitely a toss-up between the 2 styles.
    I have the long snapon 3/8 flexhead and was going to get the standard length 3/8 non-flex and a long 1/2" but I got the Williams roundhead in 3/8" and 1/2" the standard length and long. Man idk how snapon did it, but they got those Williams roundheads to be just as smooth as a snappy. So impressed with them I kinda lost interest in buying those sizes with snappy ratchets.

    Swivel Head - Roto Head ratchets are the best. By all means get all three 1/4, 3/8, 1/2. You're Welcome.

    • @realworldtoolreviews
      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea they are pretty cool. I think the 1/4 in one will be the most useful. Might have to go Snap-on for that.

    Never cared must for the super shinny chromed wrenches due to too slippery when hands are greasy or oil coated. An old timer taught me to only use the same ratchet & wrenches when working on conventional lead acid batteries because in time the acid attacks the finish. So I keep a ratchet, extension, a few sockets & combination wrenches in a plastic container just for working.on batteries.

    • @realworldtoolreviews
      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s pretty smart. Batteries will definitely tear stuff up. I love me a good chrome finish though. I have to differ with you on that. Satin finish and black oxide finish are good too though. I love the Proto satin finish wrenches.

    Nice collection. I agree you need the 3/8 craftsman with the thumbwheel like your 1/4 inch drive. I have one with a quick release that I like very much, beware, though the later models are not as nice as the older ones. Snap-Ons 3/8" stubby flex is one of my go-to ratchets along with their 1/4 inch drive. If you haven't tried one, you should. I'm even thinking of getting one of their half-inch ones after watching last best tools videos. I love how you can run them up to full flex and just spin nuts off, and the 1/4 inch drive is so small that you can sneak it into the tightest spaces. I'm going to have to try one of those 80 tooth conversions on one of my SK ratchets. The thing is, I haven't broken one yet.

    • @realworldtoolreviews
      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea I like the stubby flex head snap on too. I also definitely want a couple 1/4 inch snap ons. The long flex head one is really cool.

    I’ve been loving this 3/8 Koken Zeal ratchet I got from Japan. You should check them out.

    • @realworldtoolreviews
      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea Koken is definitely on my list of ratchets to try out. I’ve heard they have the least back drag of any ratchets out there, which is maybe the most important part of a good ratchet for me. I might be buying one of those very soon.

      @@realworldtoolreviews They are releasing the 1/4 and 1/2 version for their 72t ratchet. I got the email that their pre orders are up. Also they are releasing a quick release version. I got the email bec. I recently bought the 3/8 koken zeal also plus the quick spinner attachment. I immediately compared it to my other ratchet and it's the smoothest.

  • @neeko7878

    Man! I bought that same Stanley twisting handle ratchet roughly 20+years ago from a Snap On independent tool truck. He used to carry other companies stuff he thought was cool. Still have never used it. 😂. No joke! Seems so ingenious but just have never found a need to use it in 2 decades. Now the =vv= series Craftsman ratchets? Still a quick go to in my line up.

    • @realworldtoolreviews
      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      😂 it might sit in my box for decades too, but I just have a feeling it’s going to help me out some day. I will say this about the old Craftsman ratchets. They are durable. You can put a pipe on one of those and they stand up to it. I just don’t enjoy using them because they are so clunky. Good to beat on though.

  • @AToolWithTools

    If you like round heads, check out Wright with the contour grip. Just feels right somehow, no funny business with random lines rolled or turned in. Don't do the flex heads as they're detent ones though.

    • @realworldtoolreviews
      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ll have to get my hands on some Wright tools some day. They have a bunch on Harry J Epstein. I’ve heard nothing but good things about their stuff.

    • @rogerice3826

      Wright does make some nice tools, I have had my eye on their half-inch drive for a while. 👍

      @@rogerice3826 I actually just got an order placed for some. Their wrenches are what originally sold me on the brand.

    • @rogerice3826
      @rogerice3826 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Keen Scents Those Wright grip wrenches are really nice. Wright tools are really underappreciated. Their sockets are well made, too. 👍

    • @johnnyolson258
      @johnnyolson258 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yup the contour grip really make it hard for me to decide which handle to go with when buying Wright. Love knurled but the contour feels so stout and heavy. Can see why Matco used that handle when Wright used to make their ratchets.
      Idk if their new ratchets are as good but I got a good deal on a couple new old stock contour handle Wright with 1996 date code and it's the best looking chrome job I've ever seen on a ratchet.

    You have a lot of the style and types of ratchets that I have... I like the DeWalt ratchets (i have the non-quick release) but I use them in an industrial setting so they need to be big and heavy... also I have the Facom ratchet like you're Stanley... Love that ratchet...I have a few different Facom ratchets

    • @realworldtoolreviews
      @realworldtoolreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea the DeWalt ratchets are solid. I just like the heavy feel of them. I know Facom makes some nice sockets and ratchets and such. I don’t think I’ve ever used any though.

    • @boosted2.4_sky
      @boosted2.4_sky ปีที่แล้ว

      @realworldtoolreviews you can find them (Facom ratchets) fairly reasonably on Amazon.. that's where I got mine... they're good..👍 Just have to watch out for the overpriced ones that are exactly the same As the reasonably priced ones
      The price difference is due to having to wait ~3weeks for delivery...but they're worth it

      I agree that the old USA craftsman ratchets are much better than Chinese junk, but I still hate using them. They are built like tanks, but not smooth to use at all.
