I grew up loving Duke Nukem 3D. I still love it to this very day. However, when I started playing f.e.a.r for the first time, it instantly drawed me in. The combat, atmosphere, ambiance, and Alma's story all just clicked with me that it now remains my favourite game of all time, even better than Duke 3D.

Those instant action maps were so hard on extreme. Fear files instant action maps were crazy hard too imo

Finisched the game myself also on extreme.
It was awesome but from time to time very difficult. Eventually i quit extreme and went ranked online.
By playing a few hours per day online ranked for weeks my personal reflexes and understanding of the game rose dramatically.
With my new skills i tried extreme again and it was almost a cake walk😂.
The biggest advantage i got was playing without slowmo (because i ran out a lot) without dying.
Last winter i played fear again not on extreme but one difficulty lower, without any problems.
