FUN FACT: Sorrell Booke (Boss Hogg), was a highly intelligent man. He served for two years as an officer in the U.S. Army specializing in counterintelligence as a linguist translator during the Korean War. His job was deciphering intercepted enemy messages as he was fluent in several languages.

They would be better neighbors than the drug dealing, loud stereo thumping, mowing at 7am, dog barking frantically for water all day pieces of shit they recently moved in on us. Hell, the Duke boys would soup up your car and bring a jug of shine to celebrate. Neighbors I got now will steal the gas out of your car and knock on your door to borrow 50cent. Literally.

I adored the Dukes of Hazzard when I was a kid and seeing them like this is such a treat. They really seem like decent, down to earth people. Of course I had a massive crush on Daisy but I also just couldn't get enough of Roscoe and Boss Hogg. They made me laugh sooo much. Sorrell Brooke is somewhat famous for knowing how to speak 8 lanuages, one being Japanese. There is one particular time where a group of Japanese tourists came on set to meet the crew and tour the locations and were certainly shocked that of all people "Boss Hog" Sorrell Booke would speak with them in Japanese. Must have been quite the irony to hear him speak in about as "non-boss hog" as you can possibly get.

What a treasure! So it's nice to see them in this alternative setting, just being jovial and chill. On the Waltons during this time, they were in the middle of the war, so their demeanor was more morose. Anyway, I'm enjoyed this a lot. And, watching this in 2021: wonder how Richard Dawson would have dealt with the kissing in the middle of the pandemic...LOL!
