Toumas is the Spine of this band. Writes and orchestrates it all and Floor is a generational talent that he finally got to perform his music. So now it's perfect......exept for the fact that we are missing Marco now.
Storytime is part of the album and film music Imaginaerum. The album and film scenes were recorded with the second singer Anette. The film premiere took place shortly after the quarrel with her. Instead of Anette, the temp Floor sits in the first row. The song describes the main character. A composer who creates new musical worlds regardless of his surroundings. Hence the comparison to Peter Pan. This is one of drummer Jukka Nevalainen's last concerts. Shortly after starting the recordings for the next album, he had to give up due to chronic insomnia. He asks his friend Kai Hahto to stand in for him. Today he works in the management of the band. The piano player is the mastermind of the band. He's not a dictator, but he makes the sound and ultimately decides what happens to the band. He said several times that if Floor leaves, he will break up the band. Floor is irreplaceable for him.
Greetings. The drummer's name is pronounced like "hookah" but with a Y. When it comes to names in Scandinavia, keep that same sound for the letter J in ALL names. For example, Floor's daughter's name is spelled Freja but is pronounced (Fre) like in fresh, and (ya). So, (fre•ya) Same with Tarja (Tar•ya). I hope that makes it easier as many have had no idea they pronounce Floor's last name (Jansen) wrong. So Storytime.... This song always hits me in the feels and I don't know why. It's just such a great composition, beautiful lyrics, and if the song itself isn't enough, the crowd is happy, the band is happy, the atmosphere in that venue is absolutely electric with joy and Floor's performance made it her own. Speaking of which.... Don't run each other over trying to download the songs from this concert. As epic as this live performance was, in front of an unsuspecting 82K+ crowd, NONE of the songs performed here were recorded with Floor in the studio. This was towards the end of their Imaginaerum World Tour and the band made a decision in late September 2012 that left them without a singer when they fired Anette Olzon (2007-2012). So they called on the services of ReVamp singer Floor Jansen. 8 months later, in June 2013, she was made permanent along with multi instrumentalist, Troy Donockley (UK). You'll know Troy when you see him as he's rarely onstage but he is part of the backbone of this band just the same. This show came 10 months after Floor's 1st performance with the band. Floor's first studio album with Nightwish came in 2014. Unfortunately, that same year, Jukka's battle with insomnia caught up to him and forced him to quit playing drums. He called on his good friend and WinterSun drummer, Kai Hahto, to record the drum tracks and tour with the band. Kai became permanent in 2019. Wacken 2013 is the best concert I have ever seen even from a YT video, I have been to about 100 live shows many of the greats but this is LEGENDARY ! every song is GOLD,you have not seen anything yet guys, Floor has so much more to blow your minds, Tuomas (keys) is the song writer and composer ,he is the Maestro of NW.
YES! MORE NIGHTWISH PLEASE! Nightwish army west germany coming in, hi guys! 🙋🏼♀️ nice reaction, you can not pic a bad NW song so just enjoy the journey down this rabbit hole . I came accross NW by accident a year ago and they was no day without hearing NW since then. Saw them live in June and it was truly wonderful. I recomment to react to "7 days to the wolves" live at Wembley, because it is mindblowing (Floor finding he inner wolf and the sexiest little guitar solo from Empuu) . But have in mind to do live performances every time, because this band is live just exceptional.
You still haven't heard everything that Floor can do. She was in in two previous bands After Forever and ReVamp where you get to hear her growl too. Plus another project called Northward and guesting with Ayreon, Star One, Soilwork, Evergrey, Avantasia, Mayan and just released a much more mellow solo album called Paragon.
Those drums and her voice combined in the middel are just amazing

The drummer is Jukka Nevalainen in this concert (the original drummer). Jukka, (pronounced Yukka) left the band from playing and touring due to sever insomnia for many years. He is replaced by the amazing Kai Hahto from Wintersun. The Human Metronome. Kai was also Jukka's mentor for many years.
The base of Floor's power is (apart from posture and longs) her classical trained abdominal breathing technique. When you focus on her breathing, it looks like she never takes a breath (hence the joke: "does Floor ever breath?" answer: "yes one time on Tuesday and one time on Friday"). Sometimes however (camera is not always in the right place) you can see her belly button retracting for a second: that is when she takes in air and pushes it in a constant stream trough the diaphragm to her vocal cords. This is the reason why she is never get out of breath. Also: because of this you can see that Floor is always doing a lot of singing during a song and never avoids difficult pitches, many other bands give their singer more rest during a song or performance to prevent her/him to get exhausted. Not Floor, now that bass player Marko left the band she even sings also his parts where needed (watch e.g. "Planet Hell" from their virtual show in 2021 during the pandemic)... BTW did you see the time traveller at 9:21? At 9:34 he disappeared....

This was originally the Imaginarium Tour with Anett, so all the songs have been composed for Tarja or Anett. To get an idea of Floor doing Floor things try "Seven Days of the Wolves" Wembley live, "Yours is an empty hope" live from Wembley or "Weak Fantasy" live from Tampere. And at the end you must have seen the Top-5 (if there is one *lol*) songs of all time 😜. "GLS" (you already did), "The Greatest Show on Earth" live from Tampere (THE masterpiece), "The Poet and the Pendulum" (the holy grail of NW-songs), "Dead Boys Poem" live from Buenos Aires (Tuomas' memory - how he wants to be remembered) and "Seven Days of the Wolves" live from Wembley (insane Floor).

Hello @Rough Boyz, Nightwish Army Italian Division here. The drummer is Jukka Nevalainen (from Finland), one of the best drummer ever. Unfortunately since 2014 he left the band as a musician due to health reasons but remained in the organization. He has been replaced by the equally good Finnish drummer Kai Hatho who is currently still in the band. Welcome to the Nightwish family
The drummer leaves the space, and then, when he does come in, he shows he can hit it as hard as anybody when he wants to. I think that makes things like the double kick and the tom rolls have even more impact, because he doesn't do them all the time...
I can remember this concert (during festival)like it was yesterday. I am getting old😂 I was at Helfest and saw them in the Amsterdam arena with my 3 girls. ❤

Tarja according to the open letter it's claimed Tarja's husband was the influence behind Tarja not showing up to practice plus Tarja wanted to do her own thing anyway So they terminated her from the band. Anette Fell i'll and had complications with her pregnancy and couldn't finish there U.S. Tour in desperatness Tuomas called some lovely singers from Kamalot and eventually asked Floor to fill in. Later 2013 the band agreed to let Anette go and Floor to become their front woman. Now Troy the British multi instrumentalist has been around a little longer as he was there when Anette was there but wasn't a perminent member until 2013 so both him and Floor became perminent members. Jukka pronounced ( Yukka ) Or You-car not Yuk-car. Is still a member but works behind the scenes he had to stop drumming for the band because of insomnia and painful migraines making it difficult to perform. His good friend From Wintersun Kai takes over 2019.

Last Ride of the Day is as well. Seven Days to the Wolves is off of Annette’s first album, Dark Passion Play. They are good songs on the albums, very different. But live with Floor is just a whole new level. Floor + Marco (not dead) is, 1+1=3 + live = 5.

Wacken 2013 is the best concert I have ever seen even from a YT video, I have been to about 100 live shows many of the greats but this is LEGENDARY ! every song is GOLD,you have not seen anything yet guys, Floor has so much more to blow your minds, Tuomas (keys) is the song writer and composer ,he is the Maestro of NW.
YES! MORE NIGHTWISH PLEASE! Nightwish army west germany coming in, hi guys! 🙋🏼♀️ nice reaction, you can not pic a bad NW song so just enjoy the journey down this rabbit hole . I came accross NW by accident a year ago and they was no day without hearing NW since then. Saw them live in June and it was truly wonderful. I recomment to react to "7 days to the wolves" live at Wembley, because it is mindblowing (Floor finding he inner wolf and the sexiest little guitar solo from Empuu) . But have in mind to do live performances every time, because this band is live just exceptional.
You still haven't heard everything that Floor can do. She was in in two previous bands After Forever and ReVamp where you get to hear her growl too. Plus another project called Northward and guesting with Ayreon, Star One, Soilwork, Evergrey, Avantasia, Mayan and just released a much more mellow solo album called Paragon.
Floor growls in a few Nightwish songs too. Like "Yours is an empty hope" and "Devil and the deep dark ocean". Worth checking.
Those drums and her voice combined in the middel are just amazing
The drummer is Jukka Nevalainen in this concert (the original drummer). Jukka, (pronounced Yukka) left the band from playing and touring due to sever insomnia for many years. He is replaced by the amazing Kai Hahto from Wintersun. The Human Metronome. Kai was also Jukka's mentor for many years.
The base of Floor's power is (apart from posture and longs) her classical trained abdominal breathing technique. When you focus on her breathing, it looks like she never takes a breath (hence the joke: "does Floor ever breath?" answer: "yes one time on Tuesday and one time on Friday"). Sometimes however (camera is not always in the right place) you can see her belly button retracting for a second: that is when she takes in air and pushes it in a constant stream trough the diaphragm to her vocal cords. This is the reason why she is never get out of breath. Also: because of this you can see that Floor is always doing a lot of singing during a song and never avoids difficult pitches, many other bands give their singer more rest during a song or performance to prevent her/him to get exhausted. Not Floor, now that bass player Marko left the band she even sings also his parts where needed (watch e.g. "Planet Hell" from their virtual show in 2021 during the pandemic)...
BTW did you see the time traveller at 9:21? At 9:34 he disappeared....

NW - always out of this world 😀. I really can't wait until you are reacting to songs Tuomas has composed for Floor! This was originally the Imaginarium Tour with Anett, so all the songs have been composed for Tarja or Anett. To get an idea of Floor doing Floor things try "Seven Days of the Wolves" Wembley live, "Yours is an empty hope" live from Wembley or "Weak Fantasy" live from Tampere. And at the end you must have seen the Top-5 (if there is one *lol*) songs of all time 😜. "GLS" (you already did), "The Greatest Show on Earth" live from Tampere (THE masterpiece), "The Poet and the Pendulum" (the holy grail of NW-songs), "Dead Boys Poem" live from Buenos Aires (Tuomas' memory - how he wants to be remembered) and "Seven Days of the Wolves" live from Wembley (insane Floor).
Floor is an amazing charismatic vocalist/ story teller, no auto tune ,no pitch correction 🤘🤘

She is currently nearly 9 months pregnant with her second child, and was touring with Nightwish through June. After some maternity leave, she will record the vocals for the next Nightwish album, being recorded now.

Hello @Rough Boyz, Nightwish Army Italian Division here. The drummer is Jukka Nevalainen (from Finland), one of the best drummer ever. Unfortunately since 2014 he left the band as a musician due to health reasons but remained in the organization. He has been replaced by the equally good Finnish drummer Kai Hatho who is currently still in the band. Welcome to the Nightwish family

The drummer leaves the space, and then, when he does come in, he shows he can hit it as hard as anybody when he wants to. I think that makes things like the double kick and the tom rolls have even more impact, because he doesn't do them all the time...

Tarja according to the open letter it's claimed Tarja's husband was the influence behind Tarja not showing up to practice plus Tarja wanted to do her own thing anyway So they terminated her from the band. Anette Fell i'll and had complications with her pregnancy and couldn't finish there U.S. Tour in desperatness Tuomas called some lovely singers from Kamalot and eventually asked Floor to fill in. Later 2013 the band agreed to let Anette go and Floor to become their front woman. Now Troy the British multi instrumentalist has been around a little longer as he was there when Anette was there but wasn't a perminent member until 2013 so both him and Floor became perminent members. Jukka pronounced ( Yukka ) Or You-car not Yuk-car. Is still a member but works behind the scenes he had to stop drumming for the band because of insomnia and painful migraines making it difficult to perform. His good friend From Wintersun Kai takes over 2019.

3rd GA Division checking in. The list is awesome, but makes it hard to understand just how much better makes these songs live. Storytime is off of Imaginaerium, Annette’s second album. Last Ride of the Day is as well. Seven Days to the Wolves is off of Annette’s first album, Dark Passion Play. They are good songs on the albums, very different. But live with Floor is just a whole new level. Floor + Marco (not dead) is, 1+1=3 + live = 5.

Jukka had me retire not too long after but Jukka because of chronic insomnia and migraines. Julia recommended Kai Haito his former drum teacher. Kai is one of the best drummers in the world. Your drummer friend would be away. He was in Wintersun and he can see his greatness in "The Sons of Winter and Stars and Nightwish song Tribal anything from 2015 from Nightwish is Kai.
