I just did a repair on a Galaxy S8 and figured out some useful information. The original battery did not need the wireless charger to charge properly, but the new battery requires it. This is not determined by the phone, but by the battery!!! Upvote so people will see this!

THANK YOU! Jose you are the man. after hours of testing and swapping parts, simply doing what you demonstrated , fixed my charging problem. Whats weird is that I went to sleep with nothing wrong, but had to end up opening it up just to reconnect something that was connected in the first place.

THEY HAVE A THERMISOR IN THE WIRELESS CHARGER, THAT IS WHY !!

Exactly! Thermistor was the issue.
Sometime the thermistor is faulty so you need to replace it...

This 100% works. I went through something similar. I have a repair shop and still have the customers phone in my possession right now. Just went on TH-cam, and found this video at the top. I accidentally had the port cable not fully plugged in so the phone wouldn't charge. Opened the phone back up and saw that issue. Then with the back cover still off it went from no charging at all, plugged the flex cable back in then it said phone temp too low.. Saw this video and connected the back and put some screws back in so the contact points touch with the wireless charging. Everything went back to normal. Thanks. Video totally did the trick

That's great. I had this problem and after watching the video, I pressed my S8 at the back firmly and connected it back to charger and the problem is solved!! Thanks.

Thank you! I ran into this issue after replacing the back glass on my s8 plus. And like you said I was thinking... "what did I screw up!". But I had previously replaced the rear back camera and then the charger flex dock on different occasions ( thats how I broke the rear back glass) and just couldn't figure out how I messed it up on something alot easier. But anyway its back up and charging now so thank you!

TL;DW: Make sure the wireless charging back is connected with the screw to the diagonal bottom right of the camera screwed in
Would it work if I just put the screw back there? Because I really like how my clear glass S8 looks and I don't want to have that whole thing in the phone because it covers too much...
@@brvoje no, it's the contacts on the plastic frame thing so you'd need at least that part.
Same on S9+ I was fixing my sons phone, and was pretty worried that I broke something. I can see the sensor now. The top left of the coil area while the back is facing you is where the actual thermistor/temp sensor is.

Bro great call, had the same issue be on a LCD screen replacement and no where on the net was I able to find a solution till I came across your video. Went back in adjust the wireless charging and BAM it start changing like normal.

I changed my battery and I tried to see if the battery works, I was fine bruh good, then I tried to charge and WTF "Charging Paused - Battery Temperature Too Low" error.
I was reading on the internet after you change hardware - hard reset the phone, did not help, got the old battery nothing worked, I was like I messed up my phone.
I did not attach the wireless charging pad and after I attached it the error went away.

I am very grateful for this video, because it solved my problem. But seriously man, can you condense this down to the problem, with a verbal tell of the fault? PPL just need to know the S8's wireless charger needs 1 screw in place to ensure the connections are connected properly.

hey bro, do you think there is a work around without using the wireless charging coil? my connector for the coil is broken, n i cant get a new coil, is it possible to charge some way without it, or bypass the wireless charging coil? thanks

I replaced battery a couple months ago and now just getting this message. Phone was working fine one minute then it turned itself off. When I plug it in it sometimes shows charging normally but never increases percentage, other times I get low temperature warning. The phone also won't turn on longer than 20-30 seconds even if plugged in, normal mode or safe mode doesn't seem to matter.
Is it possible that my wireless charger just went bad overnight and is now causing these issues?

Sir, there is a thermistor on wireless charger flex this is also called Current sense register ,,, if thermistor is'nt connected. battery temp cant detect,
thats why battery cant get in charge. the fault is not with wireless charger,,,,,
i have re built mine and have the error message triangle with temp i removed the charging unit still have warning would that still be charging unit ?

Thanks buddy, I had the same issue. I was replacing the charge port on an S8 and I had not fully assembled it before testing and was getting "phone temperature too low" kind of message, once i assembled the phone with the wireless charger section the problem went away.
when the battery temp is supposedly too high/hot...what do you change?
