HEAVY being the operative word...if a pump got stuck what chance would a HRU or FRU in LFB parlance have? Remember going to a digger vs dumper in a claypit once, both our Volvo pumps struggled out, the Dodge ET was dragged out by the offending digger
@@Dodgey884 They could carry the heavy duty shoring and airbags in a dumper from the unit. Would still be better than rotten timbers and the regular airbags.
But its only for TV and that would have been far less dramatic. As it was the helicopter in real life was a flop and only a trial. Though a lot of FRS have access these days for "water bombing" which is the best use really
@@Dodgey884 also you can allways use the Fire and Police helicopters for these kind of Operations :) at least thats how its done in Germany, when the Fire Department needs a Heli, there Dispatch a Police or Ambulance Helicopter, for example in bavaria the Firefighter Divers get regulary picked up by Air Ambulance for Rural Responses and the Police Helicopters are Build like the Air Ambulances, so if an Airambulance is down for Repair, you can just change out the Gear of the Police helicopter and use it as HEMS
