- For trip 3 of CSX Month, we stay a little closer to home and travel to the lovely town of Cary, NC. While most traffic through the area is provided by NS, 2 CSX trains travel through the town as well, which was the target of the trip. NS 350 provided some excitement, as he stalled on a hill just before Cary Station. NS P54 was asked to tie down his train, and come rescue 350.
Highlights include:
-RNCX 1984
-YN2 leading CSX F741
-NS 350 rescue
I'm also gonna rate each trip this month on overall coolness, since the point of this event is to see more CSX trains, and see more cool stuff, despite my usual rotten luck.
My rating of this trip 1-10 on coolness: 3
Please refer to my social media accounts, or YT channel to see the rest of the month's schedule, and maybe come out and join me if you can!

Cary is getting more NS action than I thought. Great video!
Thank you!
Lol. Nice
So I’m going railfanning at Cary today... could you give me a list of the times the trains come?
Only Amtrak is scheduled, but generally F741 comes between 10am-12pm, F742 between 4-5pm, P46 between 6-7pm. 350 and unit trains are random.
Awesome Video! What time did those NS come?
Thank you! The NS trains are random, only following a loose timeframe.
@@CosmicDonut oh ok, On my Channel so far it is totally Bad Luck we have not caught NS in Cary in a about a Month or 2!
@@nicklausmb Sorry to hear that. Best of luck to you!
Why was the NS train going so slow? 2. Doesn't CSX own a woodchip mill in Marshall , NC where are the woodchip cars?
I think he had a speed restriction further down the line. I don't know about the woodchip cars, maybe just didn't need to service the plant that day.
