Brilliant Vid …. Shame you hadn’t got the wiring for the ignition… Good luck with that one and look forward to seeing when you fit it. Great initiative on the throttle and choke. Nice one. Love the products👍 Thanks for keeping us entertained and learning Dan.
What racing do you want to do mate? Bsso wise it's best to have the backing and help of a team it's a massive undertaking and cost other wise, get yourself a seat on and endurance team at a British Scooter Endurance Club race BSEC show people what your made off and then can start asking about see if you can get sponsorship into bsso, even if its just bsso you want to do still do the endurance its mint 👍, engine wise even a well sorted production class motor will be a few grand to build properly, I actualy have one for sale with 2 hours on it, just been dynod and set up ready to plug and play with all the best gear in it and all machining work carried out, let me know if intrested, I'm on building a lammy for bsso as we speek 👍
I think you should do more research. What you have is an XL2 also called FL or HP. The main lock on this model has 3 purposes: ignition lock, steering column lock and also glovebox lock. From what i see, there are more parts missing, than just the ignition contact. However, if you are building a racer, why don't you ditch the lock and use a simple killswitch instead?
All you have to do is pull the green wire on the end of the cdi out and it’ll do away with the ignition.
Interesting! Thank you for the information!!
Good luck with the project Dan, getting there mate 🤜🤜
Thank you mate. Getting there, slowly but shortly ☺️

Pull green wire off the coil that’s situated at the back of engine by the shock spring and it’ll start . Steering locks already been removed
