"can't do shit about the mechanical issues" this one little line has always irritated me just a bit. That's probably the one thing they could do. Can't make the tank bigger, or thicken the armor, or magically make the gun bigger in the field. They did have loads of spare parts for those Shermans, however. Chances of a Sherman being disabled and finding parts to fix it in the field were very high.
Chill Out yes Ik issues that sounds like it was a few things wrong with her and not to mention they were going on another mission in a few minutes. Plus they probe would of tried to fix it after that scene. And maybe the gunner that previously died was the best at doing that shit idk Idk much about the crews
A different interpretation: they have access to those spare parts but the crew don't know how to fix those specifica mechanical issues by their own and needs mechanics
It seems like they excluded a lot of incredible & important scenes. I’m a huuuuuge war movie viewer and when I watched this I finished off feeling like what the hell was that. I wanna see an extended version with all scenes man.
Fury in my opinion is 1 of maybe 2 of my all time War movies and same for All Time Best Movies. Acting was awesome, I could feel what they were feeling (emotional). Everything was great. I am curious what gun they had. I have seen videos saying 75mm, other 105mm . Just watched them again. Unfortunately the armor on The Sherman was not good. The 88mm went through the amor of Sherman like it didn't it was not there. Father in Law during The Korean Conflict would retrieve damaged tanks. He never talked about it, except his spouse. That is all he would say , what his job was. I cant imagines of the remains still in vehicle that he had to witness.. They who crewed The Sherman, God Bless you. You have some huge balls and guts. Thank You
Way late i know, my ex's grandfather fought in WW2 he was a Sergeant in Infantry. He said he his platoon helped a Tank Platoon take out an 88, a tank commander got hit by the 88. After the fight he went to check up on the tank that had its commander taken out (the tank stopped after the commander was hit). He said he just saw the gunner shaking the commander asking him what to do and to wake up.
I love how this movie gives a since of dread like it's just sucks the life out of you the scenes and the music...war is hell and they make that very apparent
This one feels especially rough because I feel like, while the boys have sympathy for the wounded, they won't be wounded. If they get hit, they'll be dead, just like we watch later on. That look on Jon Bernthal's face says it all, "this is horrific, but at least you guys get a chance. We'll be dead before we leave this tank".
I dont know how many times i watched this movie, i can watch it again n again and never get boring, and the sentimental always fresh. The actor great, director and all cinematic team wonderful and geniiussss! This movie make me realized how life is valueble and how much the army sacrifice for this world peace, even they givrn order to go to war, but believe me they dont want it either. And most of them died for their country and thier ppl not even know them and definately appreciate them
You knew it was going to happen. All these dirty, ugly looking battle-hardened men walking around with 1000-yard stares, and then this fresh faced kid in a clean uniform runs up and says, "I'm your new assistant driver!" It's like, "Hell, naw! You are not ready for this shit!"
The music as they arrived at the camp reminds me of some of the incidental music in Excalibur from the early 1980s. They’re both describing nightmare scenes.
Honestly this should have been some kind of mini-series instead of a movie. It felt like that characters were deeper than the movie had time to develop.
So sad when he said he wanted them to send him home to be buried, when the sad reality is there were more soldiers buried in the countries they died in rather than bought home.
This scene really helps emphasize that to the rest of the crew, Norman was a replacement and their hostility to him is easier to sympathize with. Their friend, their brother, is hauled out that tank and carried off. Literally the next shot is Norman showing up.
This movie should of had a cameo from sgt oddball from Kelly's Heroes. they didnt even need to give him lines - Just have him working in the background being sgt oddball
I would say the bigger BS is the crew of the Furry saying they fought from Africa to Italy then to through france and into germany in a tank that wasn't issued until after Normandy
@@shadowaker6260 the 76mm version don't really make it into service until after normandy The US was too focused into TD docrren and thea diead that the Tank was a dedicated deliveries of HE and machine guns for the infantry
Man, even just the dialog is far superior to the final edit. Grady's "Don't let him touch the ground" when moving Red's corpse tells us so there's more to him than the crude prick we see when meeting Norman.
2:43 I'm wondering whether at this stage in war, the Allied Forces were also finding it hard to look for replacements. These replacements are just kids! History always mention that only the Germans were being replaced by old men and kids.
Near the end of the war the Canadian army was stripping every non combat warm body they could to fill the fighting ranks clerks cooks and anti air craft gunners and any one else. So yeah at least one was having trouble.
The Replacement system the US was using had completely broken down by late 1944. Soldiers were arriving to the front with inadequate training. Many new soldiers had only ever fired their rifles in basic and had no experience with machine guns, grenades, bazookas, or any other weapons they would need to use. Things were so bad that many people who should have been declared unfit were allowed to sneak in through the cracks. At least one company in the 4th ID division received a man with a birth defect that prevented him from lifting his rifle above his hip. Specialty units such as anti aircraft companies, anti tank units, administrative units etc were being cannibalized and their personnel sent off to fill vacancies in the line companies. Many of these men had not fired their rifles since basic.
@@jimminey-fooking-cricket4903 Yes, definitely by the time the Canadian Army got to the Scheldt & the Netherlands. Furthermore, very few infantry got to go on leave, because no-one was available to fill in. So, the level of exhaustion among the troops was terrible. But, considering we only had a population of 12 million, we did alright!
I think this is one thing that always sets apart battles in the first and second world wars from modern wars in the middle east, the dreariness. The mud, the rain, everything is damp, it's just seems so much more depressing.
For all it's shortcomings & there are many, for me, Fury is a great movie; Not a feelgood movie, but nonetheless the sweat, the mud, the blood, the piss, the puke, the fear, men being pushed over edge of reason. Troops & civillians dying for pratically no reason, It's all there. These are the tank crews who made it from the beaches. They learnt their trade, while on the job, now they're driving tanks held together with duct tape & crossed fingers. And the war still had a few months to run. There was still a whole lotta killing, yet to do.😐
Here is a story for you all. When I got back from my first overseas mob and lived in Arizona, I had an old neighbor come over and offer me a old western magazine to read. It was his intro. He had a lot of markings on his face and I always chalked it up to skin cancer removal or age related issues but he told me it was shrapnel from the Battle of the Bulge. He had been medevaced to France and done time there recovering from wounds when he was told that he would lead a new heavy tank squadron to battle. He tried to talk the CO out of it but took the assignment. Told me the crew prayed every day that it would take them too long to get back to see combat. They made it back three weeks before the end. He told me that the crew calculated that they killed 200 Germans in the war. He told me they cried all of the time thinking about the fathers, brothers, uncles, cousins that the killed. I didn't know how to respond. Once you have seen war and talked to veterans these movies all pale. Will they ever make one about men crying over the people they killed? Wouldn't look right on screen would it?
I mean I think we should acknowledge that that kind of experience can't be replicated but this movie does focus on the emotional side of war alot more than other war movies
This is a pretty accurate depiction of how it went down when I met my dead beat dad for the first time, a lot of “NO YOUR NOT!!!” , “ WHO TOLD YOU THAT?!?!?” and “GOD DAMN IT!!!”
Actually he were broken aswell he even cried how hurt he were but he had to show others strong will to keep fighting. You are so dumb to post such shit without even looking at movie

aboctok absolutely right. In fact 9 out of 10 Axis soldiers were fighting against the Soviets in the East. Ironically if Hitler had allowed the generals to fight the war using an elastic defence they potentially could have fought the Russians to a standstill
@@peterb8679 Hitler given bad order's has been debunked during Barbarossa infact it was his generals that weren't listening Hitler wanted to go for the oil supplies because the German army was running out at this point he was right unless the army had more oil it's future plans would be severely hampered his generals wanted to go straight for the capital instead thinking it would cause the Russian's to surrender.
Now I understood why when he was asked by the young guy about his labour he said: "no, you're not" and then "god damnit". Those expressions had a whole meaning. He didn't want him to be there cause he looked so young.
No,it was proboably because he was 'green'!
No, it's because he was fresh and had no experience in combat or with tanks. He was a liability and would have to learn real quick or he'd get men killed as seen later on.
I loved this movie! I'm a tank-enthusiast anyways and this movie was my favorite!
The music is haunting and creepy and it adds to *Fury* returning to their camp...
You see all of the tired and battle hardened troops and you can't but feel empathy for them all!
I'm so glad that we won the war..but at a terrible and high cost..
Great movie clip!
Thank you for posting this..!
“We”, you mean the Allies, right?
War IS hell. Pray that humanity stops this madness! ⚰️⚰️⚰️😞
"I ain't shit in a week". Oh boy, is that gonna hurt!
Held one in for a week when i was in mandatory military service, it doesnt hurt, but after the third day you will start feeling that turd move inside your ass, and hell it is not comfortable, the worst part was when we returned to the barracks, the amount of moaning in the bathrooms was insanely funny, but man, the way that one shell tore up my asshole, jeez.
I will never get tired of watching scenes from this incredible film.
How would you know mate you weren’t in ww2
Dude it’s a history fact that Sherman’s are easy to repair and replace
Chill Out yes Ik issues that sounds like it was a few things wrong with her and not to mention they were going on another mission in a few minutes. Plus they probe would of tried to fix it after that scene. And maybe the gunner that previously died was the best at doing that shit idk Idk much about the crews
A different interpretation: they have access to those spare parts but the crew don't know how to fix those specifica mechanical issues by their own and needs mechanics
Not as much as you would think, read some diaries of US tankers, supply issue did crop up quite often.
Say it with me folks,
*Realease the movie with all the scenes neatly stitched together so we can get the whole story!*
The score in this scene is incredible. Nightmarish but incredible
Thank You
The main gun on this tank is a 76mm.
Fury was a good film, old settings, modern music mix loved it
Title should be "Fury , no different scene than in the movie."
It is too different!
No different from the version i watched here in newzealand
@@JPerry-jw9ik
Different how?
@@Sickofsociety1 in the american version Brad gives them their orders and walks away. When church asks him where he is going he doesn't respond.
@@JPerry-jw9ik
Ah, ok. Thank you.
I love how this movie gives a since of dread like it's just sucks the life out of you the scenes and the music...war is hell and they make that very apparent
the music really fits this scene
And most of them died for their country and thier ppl not even know them and definately appreciate them
"No you are not" idk why I laughed at that.
You knew it was going to happen. All these dirty, ugly looking battle-hardened men walking around with 1000-yard stares, and then this fresh faced kid in a clean uniform runs up and says, "I'm your new assistant driver!"
It's like, "Hell, naw!
A big bulk of this scene Was in the movie with a few bits cut out.
RoseOfHizaki that would be great
“Over the motherlovin bridge”
decent movie until a whole platoon of germans decided to run around a disabled tank to get shot at. pure nonsense.
Well I'm sorry to hear that you would enjoy it more if they instantly destroyed it and the movie ended without its final scene.
I would say the bigger BS is the crew of the Furry saying they fought from Africa to Italy then to through france and into germany in a tank that wasn't issued until after Normandy
@@Ghastly_Grinner The Shermans fought on Afrika
Yeah it went from realistic to fuck yeah merica.
@@shadowaker6260 the 76mm version don't really make it into service until after normandy The US was too focused into TD docrren and thea diead that the Tank was a dedicated deliveries of HE and machine guns for the infantry
Most casualties for tank crews happened when they were outside of the tank. Which makes sense, you are in a steel box protected from most things.
The US Army has always used kids, men but theyounger the better
At least they dont use 10 year olds
@@jimminey-fooking-cricket4903 Yes, definitely by the time the Canadian Army got to the Scheldt & the Netherlands. Furthermore, very few infantry got to go on leave, because no-one was available to fill in. So, the level of exhaustion among the troops was terrible. But, considering we only had a population of 12 million, we did alright!
This movie is gold. They did with the WWII genre the same COD:WAW made years ago with the wartime FPS. Just brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
2:19 “Bell, We got a job to do!”
I thougt i was the only one who thaught the same :D
I always remember this movie for one scene, when Shia is giggling on top of the tank. It’s awesome
I love this movie❤️🎥💜
Always wondered how come that the hair of these guys is always perfectly styled...

This should have been in the movie
It was in the movie on begining of the movie for me
It is dude
I prefer the one in the movie
There are a quite a few scenes that should’ve been in the movie
One of the top 5 war movies and cast in history!!
not even close to the top 5.
Saving Private Ryan
Apocalypse Now
Black Hawk Down
Platoon
Full Metal Jacket

I can't imagine how europian countries suffer from war ....god give solider heaven ❤️❤️❤️.... love from Nepal 🙏
Love Steven Price's style of music! He *more* than deserved that Oscar for _Gravity_ !
I think this is one thing that always sets apart battles in the first and second world wars from modern wars in the middle east, the dreariness. The mud, the rain, everything is damp, it's just seems so much more depressing.
War is depressing. Time to end endless wars! 🕊️
For all it's shortcomings & there are many, for me, Fury is a great movie;
Not a feelgood movie, but nonetheless the sweat, the mud, the blood, the piss, the puke, the fear, men being pushed over edge of reason.
Troops & civillians dying for pratically no reason, It's all there. These are the tank crews who made it from the beaches.
They learnt their trade, while on the job, now they're driving tanks held together with duct tape & crossed fingers.
And the war still had a few months to run.
There was still a whole lotta killing, yet to do.😐
The music never made you feel wow dude
Wow
Must of been hell. I’m so grateful I will never have to experience something like this. I know it’s movie but it portrays the miserable way of war.
Eh, we may again seeing how the world is going now. Ya just never know.
0:55 Thought there was a hair on my screen in the upper lefthand corner..
Thank you and God bless
Pronto te veo. I’ll see soon. Such a powerful line the foreshadowing
Note the Dragon Wagon in the background...not many of those left!
Goddamn, you *feel* the exhaustion.
I remember when my grandpa says in a Viatnamese war he said
"You came here for die"
“We’ve got a job to do” such a hard line
This is a pretty accurate depiction of how it went down when I met my dead beat dad for the first time, a lot of “NO YOUR NOT!!!” , “ WHO TOLD YOU THAT?!?!?” and “GOD DAMN IT!!!”
One of the best movies ever...
I can't take Brad Pitt's character seriously in this movie. He's so over the top arrogant that it's comical because everyone else looks so broken
He's just broken as everyone else. He's just tryna man up because he's the man in charge
Actually he were broken aswell he even cried how hurt he were but he had to show others strong will to keep fighting. You are so dumb to post such shit without even looking at movie
This movie was well done, the acting is superb.
They really should have left this in.
.
This film was awesome! Good acting, good storyline, I also like it because the film was Dark all together excellent film.
This isn't really an alternate scene it's just a longer less detailed scene of the one in the movie
Why did they ever cut this scene??? It says so much more for the opener, and explains the story much better. ??? :( Too bad. Thanks for posting. Love it.
2:18 cod Cold War intensifies
This scene makes the loss of the prior gunner all the more painful. And the raw recruit all the more risky. Hence, the “goddamnit”
Jon Bernthal’s character was the only realistic character in the whole film.
No
Makes me wish this scene and many if not all the alternate and deleted scenes were kept in this 2014 war film.
P.S. That dark music is so badass and haunting at the same time.
Please leave any comments and click the thumbs up.
The allies were only on the continent in action for a little over a year after the invasion...Germany was tapped from being in the Soviet meat grinder for 5 years. Not enough tribute is paid the to 27,000,000 soviets who made that victory possible
more than a half of that soviet soldiers die by famine or frozen cos soviet army simple not provide them whit the necesary for their subsistence, the casualties in action was very low of that number, actually LOTT of soviets soldiers was saved by germans soldiers feeding them, soviet army was poor at hell, poor and stupids, well, comunist, what more, "allies" help with MILLIONS OF DOLARS and stuff to comunist so 27 millons at less 15 millions die by the complete incompetence or comnist army
The Russians have made their own films about WW2. It’s not for us to do that. Mind you, recent history books have pointed out that the Eastern front was where most of the Wehrmacht was destroyed.
I don't know why i still love this movie
Look it’s just a film, stop picking holes in it.if you don’t like it don’t waste your time looking at it.dear god help us.

MREs make you constipated lol
K rations then.
seoulkidd1 Ate some WW2 c rations in 1974; found them in an auxiliary storage area on USS Saratoga, CV-60; ship built in late 50’s, cans said 1943, no idea where they came from, likely from a decommissioning carrier on there for potential Marine contingent deployment. Beef hash-like I guess, needed ketchup real bad. Mostly indistinguishable food-like substance. MRE’s much better IF you got the “Not for aircrew” meals (late 80’s).
yes they will...thats why you drink a shit load of water with them and add some fibre powder to the water

The version of the movie that i watch this escene was deleted
This movie is soooo goood
The guys with e-cigs and smartphones tell me that something here ain't right よ。
Where?
I honestly think this is way better than the actual edit. I felt the part when Norman jumped out little confused and reported to wardaddy. At least in Finland they cut that part out entirely for some reason.
This isn’t a deleted scene this happens near the beginning
“Alternate scene”
Best movie ever. Can’t find it anywhere.
