    Often when we experience long-term health difficulties, we begin to lose the important connection between mind and body. We are heavily aware of our pain or other symptoms but grow less aware of other signals from our body- especially good feeling ones! Our minds also start to wire towards more limbic system activation (which means more frustration, doubt, sadness and anxiety). Somatic therapy techniques help us to soothe the nervous system and re-establish the healthy connection between body and mind.
