We had a 66 Fairlane GT back in the late 70s. 390 with 2 4s and a 4spd. Very hot little car. Everyone that saw it wanted it. Beautiful car and a lot of fun.
Your right I'm a chevy guy normally but i really dig this Fairlane, and you got rid of that damn fin thing, definitely brought back the cool factor fer sure thanks man
That looks like the twin to our 1966 Ford Fairland 500. great car. We have a lot of fun with ours. We have a 331 cubic inch stroker Small block ford with a TKO 500 and out of curiosity I ran it across the scale where I work. it Weighed 3020 pounds with complete interior
Awsome man! I luv the Fairlane 500! I also have a 66 Fairlane but mine is not a 500. Mine is a 4door that somebody before me turned into a hotrod. It has a warmed over 302 & a 4spd. Like a shine runner!
Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ I must say that Fairlane is in pretty decent shape considering, I'm glad to see you putting some effort into it and bringing her back around. Keep up the good work Brad and Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄✌️🇺🇲
I believe that's a 9 in. rear , but it's a very nice car. I've always liked the 66 best besides the 57 Fairlane. That might be a mid 90's or later 302 they came factory with roller lifters but not those nice rockers. Sweet Roadrunner sounds badass.
@@jesseduke694 he said 8.8 and that has a cover on the back and c clips on the axles unless I heard him wrong. Yes it is an 8in. that's what came in those cars . I'm getting old didn't remember , the 9in. looks the same just bigger.
Looks humble, but has a mean rumble. Talk about a 'sleeper'. Man, what a good polishing can do for a ride. Looking forward to you flooring that in more ways than 1 ;) Merry Christmas Brad, your family, and all the friends around the World. Happy New Year too.
Hello, been a while since I’ve watched you. I thought you got done, nice looking car.Back in the early seventies,we was getting them cars for fifty and one hundred dollars every other pay day.Steve from Nb Canada
First off, thank you for the update video. It's appreciated! The old gal keeps looking better and better. Honestly, the pans didn't look as bad as I thought that they might. Heck, the whole car is in better shape than I am.. and I'm almost a year younger. I never really was much of a "Ford guy", until I had my first Mustang. In fact the first car that I'd ever bought for myself was an old '68 Impala and I wasn't allowed to park it in my parents' driveway.. my dad was the 'Ford guy' and having a Chevy in the driveway was forbidden. My next door neighbor had a '66 like yours. Except his had the 390 in it. Quick old bitch she was and when I saw yours, man! I wish that I lived up y'alls way, I'd wrench on her for ya. I kinda fell in love with that body style. Anyhow, keep up the great work and I'll keep an eye out for your next video. Be safe, happy holidays, and God bless. ✌️
Hey Brad and Jayden from the great white north. Looks like you're doing a great job of getting the fairlane 500 into a real ripper. If it looks as good as the Coronet then you've done your job. Happy Christmas from my family to yours. Patch
Looking good Brad ,love 66 Fairlane !! I'm trying my hand at wire harness + putting in a 351w. Still tuning engine & hoping this guy / help shows up ,I'm a backyard in the drit building .. books & videos but it's a good body 66 Fairlane 500 was Artic blue originally, later's man

Looking good flaws and all. I have a question Brad. My profile picture is my 1990 step side SS350. Being a 1990 it has that peeling clear. Can I cut it with a compound then buff it out to get rid of the flaking clear and make it look better? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks bro!
That Fairlane is in pretty good shape for being 58 years old and it is definitely worth restoring.🙂😀😃👍✨
Not a Ford guy either, but it’s still satisfying to see these old rides get some attention. That blue looks great in the sun, too.
