Nice video!! - Tariffs are strategic and a complicated business - on shoring critical manufacturing is a national security issue particularly when relying on unfriendly foreign powers so I think those are prime targets - threatening or implementing tariffs is a negotiation tactic as a way to bring countries to the table like we will likely see with Canada - a big issue and one that will potentially be a future battlefield is that American workers have been shorted productivity gains hidden due to cheap imported goods and at the same time widening the wealth gap - in any case tariffs are neither good or bad - my hope is with tariffs as a revenue stream for government it can offset some income tax which will allow more Americans to afford basic life necessities made in America, boost critical mfg and reduce dependence on adversaries - I am ok with an iPhone costing 1.5x if it means people have more income to purchase basic life necessities - in the earlier 1900s the US had no income tax and was primarily ran on tariffs - probably not the right answer today but as in life it is a balance. Hoping for the best.

the early 1900s and america mainly running on tariffs is a hard pill to swallow for some. and you're right, if some goods are more expensive like an iphone, but people can get by easier, purchasing the things they actually need at a lower price that is overall a net positive. thanks for the comment. you rock!
