I dont see why you would buy this over the a20 the savings is almost nothing and the bigger screen and the usb c make up for it
@@3d-speakers945 true. This one is worse in every way possible except the processor which is just slighty above the a20. But everything the a20 has compared to this makes the cost worth it

Said NOTHING about USB past that... USB. Until around 7.30min. ish. SADDD, very ... SAD. Key points, yah might think it relevant. Like talking about appliance and leaving out a ten foot cord. BTW, Seen nowhere on the net that said anything but a USB-C for an A01 Verizon. Also, I never buy debut anything, been burnt by crap way to many times. 79.00. @ that class it does enough for class if you keep in the parameters it was designed as. Apples to apples I always say.

This phone is meant for indian people...phones are very expensive and not a lot of people have good phones in india...this phone is 8000 rupees which is 12,000 rupees less than a good budget phone....its worth for people who dont have great paying jobs which is very common in india...
Pls include this in ur next video about this phone as you have to let people know that this phone is not meant for people who dont live in india. You can get a better phone for $200 here in the US.

Kind of going backwards with no Type C Charging and no Amoled Display with the 2.0 USB Charging and IPS Display would think they would continue with both those features on this phone

OLED has problems that LCD doesn’t anyways.
It’s gonna be at least a few more years before OLED does absolutely everything better than LCD. For now, OLEDs still suffer from burn-in, jelly motion, blue death, and causing PWM headaches in 1 in 10 users
This same thing happened in the early 2000s. LCDs has serious problems like lag, abysmal contrast, and piss poor color accuracy while CRTs were more reliable and color accurate. It wasn’t until 2007 or so that LCD’s problems were ironed out and CRT finally went the way of the dodo.
@@TurboPikachu Half true, all displays have different advantages, you cant just stop burn in on a oled display, you just have to find/make a better display
Gustav Krysen I do feel like Samsung and Apple can eventually get OLEDs to be very burn-in resistant one day, as they’ve already reduced the likelihood of burn-in on their OLED phones, hugely more resistant than Google’s Pixel phones.
My personal worst issue with OLEDs right now is Apple and Samsung’s decision to go with a diamond pentile array OLED instead of RGB stripe OLED. RGB stripe OLEDs (Seen on Apple Watch units) have 1:1 subpixel parity to LCDs, meaning the resolution of a stripe OLED are true, while diamond pentile OLEDs have a green subpixel in every subpixel but not red/blue, instead each alternating in every other pixel. With diamond pentile, Apple and Samsung are technically lying about their resolutions.
Because of diamond pentile, the 6.4” Galaxy A20 isn’t really 720p most of the time, and in worst case scenarios where colors on screen are mostly red/blue, can fall as low as 480p at 180ppi, a drastically worse sight than this 5.7” Galaxy A01’s 720p LCD that never falls below 720p @301ppi point in any scenario. Similarly, the “1080p” A50 and A51 can fall as far as 720p in worst case scenarios temporarily slumping to 270ppi.
Meanwhile LCD resolutions are true, as are stripe RGB OLEDs. The only diamond pentile OLEDs I find to be any good at all are Samsung’s 1440p OLEDs that guarantee a true 1080p. Because diamond pentile only has 66.6% of red/blue subpixels compared to RGB stripe and LCDs of the same resolution, even Apple’s “1125p” iPhone 11 Pro can fall as low as 750p (Resolution of iPhone 6) in a worst case scenario, and the “1242p” iPhone 11 Pro Max can fall to 828p (Resolution of iPhone XR) in a worst case scenario. $1000+ iPhones that, in bad color situations, can fall to resolutions of sub-$600 iPhones 😂
I personally wish OLED phones would one day switch to RGB stripe array instead of diamond pentile array, then I wouldn’t have such a problem with their resolutions

So this low-end A01 has android 10 but users with the Galaxy S8 or S7 do not receive the Android 10 update even though their phones are more than capable of handling the update size.

I don't know. I think I'd take a closer look at the A20 or the A10e. Unless you absolutely have to have Android 10. 🤷♂️

Is this a good phone to buy to compliment my daily Note5, I would use it for going to school, going on road trips, and to have a phone with good security with Knox, I'm very tempted. Does the display have good viewing angles? I don't want to tilt the phone and have washed out colors.
I think it'd be a good compliment, but I think you should take closer looks at the Samsung A10e or the Samsung A20. Might be able to find them around the same price or even cheaper on some carriers. Metrobytmobile has them for free with port ins from another carrier.
@@artdogg50 I would go for the A20 but it is too big and I would go for the A10e but it is not getting one UI 2.0 only the A10 and a20 are. I also really like the depth sensor, I'm on AT&T so I need something unlocked.

I just got my a01 and I put my ATT SIM card in it I received an a015f not an a015m and I only get H+ / HSPA + / 4G I do not get 4G LTE the only LTE band that works on this phone with AT&T is 850 I got the same phone. It's not a big deal to me but it could be for others HSPA plus is fast enough to get me directions once my plan renews it will be much better but 90% chance you will not get LTE. I will admit H+ isn't bad at all.

I would recommend the:
• Galaxy A50 (Enterprise, because that is a version with upgraded Storage for the same amount of money) {which I am currently daily-driving}
• Galaxy A51 (2020 equivalent but more expensive)
• Galaxy A70 (Enterprise) / Galaxy A71

For people planning to buy a phone with $100, this one looks worth it for its price but if you wanna try the used market iPhone 6s or Samsung S7 would serve you better except the design is old tho.

This phone to me is the spiritual successor to the A2 Core and J4 Pro(?) while being at its core just another standard A10 (not the 'E' or 'S' option).
Im confused as to what the numbers even mean at this point, im guessing it may be by rank but we had also had the j series also, so what does the letters means too? Has they ever explained this?
Here's how the numbers work: Every A-Series phone launched in 2020 ends in 1... The first number after the A is the rank. So the A01 is the lowest ranking phone in the 2020 A Series. The A10 for example is getting replaced by the A11.

Even though it's a cheap phone, I'm glad I chose Samsung over apple. Samsung has always been there for the people on making good budget phones. And that's something that Apple hasn't done for the Apple users

Where does the M31 fit in samsungs entry level phone?
Samsung M31 doesn't deserves to be in Samsung's entry level phones. It deserves to be in Samsung's midranges
M only sells in VERY specific teritory and the equivalent of M31 is A41/A51 but the A series has better sex appeal but smaller battery while M series are the other way around

but the PPI of it is lower than a phone thats almost 10 years old, which is the iPhone 4.

Same. I feel this phone is kinda how samsung should have been doing for quite a while. I like the name. This gonna be a good backup phone even without putting the sim card. Will wait it to further price down then imma buy it for fun. I will use the phone as if its my primary n hide the 10 plus in the pocket. Hahaha.
