Hello, I watched your video today, and thank you for that. I have been suffering from a wet floor in my AR 159 SW for some time now. My suspicion was the same as you have now shown, but I used foam draft strip because foam rubber is too porous and will allow water to pass through over time. I did the left front door 2 years ago and now have a wet floor on the right side. What you also showed is that water remains on the front of the door seals.😀👍👍👍
Will need to adress this problem soon on mine...replacing the speakers probably did not help, as the car audio pros probably did not reseal them properly...thanks for the video.
I have this problem on the front passenger door. The other three look OK. Can I just lift the bottom corner of the metal under the speaker, just enough to be able to clean it a bit and squirt some silicone behind it? Removing the whole thing seems to difficult to me. I would use the head gasket silicone for that as well.
Hello. You can try. But the window regulator will not let you move it much. Make sure to use degreaser and a soft metal brush. Try to see with a mirror if everything is good
does the negligible weight difference of the new pistons affect anything? when you see when some people measure with the accuracy of grams. I wouldn't remove any substance from the new ones myself.. I assume that it won't affect anything..

is it possible that leaks from the rear right door appear below the carpet at the front right passenger? I have sealed all the doors except the rear right and today after heavy rain i found water beneath the front right passenger's carpet .
Hi Bruno! Olá malta 😁 I have a mysterious one... on the floor, back on the right. I already search everywhere. The door, the bottom, every possible place. I even thought it was coming by the A/C pipe under the passenger seat. I washed the car on the car wash to see if with the pressure it would be visible. Nothing... but when it rains the floor gets wet. The roof is dry, the door is dry, the side column is dry, the trunk is dry, everything is dry, except for the fu*king floor. I need an exorcist. The 159 doors are also a "piece of art" to disassemble... Today I went to fix the door lock (wasn't for this car for sure and I had to make it work with the car keys), and I unscrewed about 30 screws just to take out the damn thing. I really felt screwed 🤬 BTW.... the door lock on 159 only unlocks or also lock the car? Mine I car only rotate clockwise. Only opens, no locking with the key 😮 Thanks for the video. Have a nice day.
Olá. The lock should work to lock and unlock the car. Always. About the water, take drastic measures. Remove the seats and the floor, get the car wet and see where it's coming
@@alfaromeonoproblem the lock mechanism only turns to the right/clockwise... When I can (a broken finger don't help...), I'll disassemble everything again and try to rotate the internal mechanism with a screwdriver to see how it works. I agree with you about the drastic measures. Thank you once again Bruno.
Hello! I have another problem, water does not go inside the car but i hear it slushing in the driver door when i brake/accelerate and i can't find the drain holes I mostly think that the water is in the door because that's from where i hear it

Hi, i have problem with driver and behind driver seat carpet. It was really soaked. Took of the seat and whole carpet to dry sponge and everything. I did put silicone on the driver door plate. Now few months later i can see that carper is getting slowly wet. Area between pedals and seat. So about 20-30cm from pedals. Don’t really understand from where is water coming in. Alfa Romeo 159 2010.
@@alfaromeonoproblem I'm from Greece yes it's a procedure that can be done as long as the original speaker hasn't been working for very long without the surround as the spider will be cocked and maybe the vc would start to rub. Ideally you want to send the speaker to me right before the surround starts to fail on its own. When for example it deteriorates with slight pressure. The surround I use is rubber based and not foam. It alters the speaker characteristica very little but will last the lifetime of the vehicle
Excellent video
Thank you very much!
I did swap speakers to aftermarket ones (left to job to professionals), thankfully no sign of leaks until now. Will look out for those
Thanks for watching and sharing

It will affect something. Less vibrations, hier revig speed. Also can make some accessories last longer.
Vibrations destroy everything
My Alfas 159 rear N/S window was going up and not stopping and braking the cable?
Is there a relay in the motor?

I have water in the boot of my 159 wagon.. any ideas / suggestions ?
Hello. Get inside the boot and get a buddy to wash it with a hose. In that way try to see where it comes from. You may have to take out some panels

But I did a warranty the same
