Girl, speak on it..... I am with you on the dryness and no curl pattern situations! A lot of things your saying, needs to be heard before doing the big chop cause its definitely a process to this natural hair thing. Great video, thanks for sharing!
I'm so glad that I found your video. I felt the same way about my natural hair. I had really long hair and people always ask why would I cut my hair. I'm happy and I have embraced my hair. Plus it gave me something different.
This is so true , I am about to celebrate 1 year of growth and 6 months natural in April , I am so excited and your videos are so helpful . I still thought that products would make my hair look a certain way until now I am starting to realize that they all make it look the same basically and also that I should have taken pictures . I am really upset now that I have no pictures of my big chop . I can also relate with others saying that my big chop was a mistake , everybody did , they claimed my hair looked 'indian' before and now I have napp hair even though I loved it and this almost made me relax it. You are definately an inspiration , keep doing what you do . Oh and sorry that my picture is of my relaxed hair , like I said before , I have no pictures of my hair now. Its really sad.
First thing, I big chopped April 3rd as well (2014). Also, I totally agree with you about the Cantu leave in. When I has a TWA, it worked well in my hair. Now, at almost 1 year, I hate that product. Thanks for the video!
I definitely understand because I do feel like my hair wasn't growing all I want is hang time but I can tell its growing and I make sure I take care of it so well said
Ok so I am currently in box braids, but before school starts for me, I want to take them out, shape my hair, and rock my TWA like a boss lol. My only issue is that, all throughout middle school, I wore box braids. People rarely saw my hair, and when they did, it was straight (bad idea, I know). So now that I am going natural I am nervous on how people will react to my twa. I am going to 8th grade and my hair types are: 4a, 4b, and 4c. Any confidence and style tips?
thxxxxxxx.. sooooooo much for this video!! cause im thinking hard about big chopping! I am worried about the growth process!! hmmm.. i don't know! ughhh
Thank you for this video :) it helped a lot . I wish I would've seen this video the first time I big chopped but I'm going natural again so it's all good :)) anyways how many months did you wait before big chopping?
