So bummed we didn't get to hook up here. Beautiful place. I loved the site locations here. Those trails are so awesome. Wow, that place is huge! A fish cleaning area? Are you kidding me? That is so cool. Wow, Site 62 is awesome. A wheelchair ramp for horse riders. That is insanely cool. They did an amazing job on this place. Nice fish!!!! Great video brother. ❤️👍👏 Donovan & Jodi
Thanks for watching! The fish were all too small to keep but fun to catch, thank goodness! I feel guilty throwing back the keepers just because I dont want to clean them!! I saw several groups cleaning large catches of sand bass at that cleaning station! I have noticed the wheel chair ramps at several of the horse camping loops that I have visited, this was the first that I could scoot right up to it. I regret that we were unable to connect as well, but everything happens the way it is supposed to happen.
Thanks for showcasing this park. I'd seen it on the map, but didn't realize it was so nice. I'll have to check out your other video on the Johnson unit. We don't have motorized scooter, but have a couple folding bikes that we store up in the "ball cap" of our Class C. These work really good on smoother surfaces, and with all those nice concrete pathways, we'd have a blast exploring this park. Looking forward to visiting "I'll do bwah" unit some day!!
you do such a better job on the pronunciation than I do! My videos from Johnson Branch are from the early days of my campground videos so just know they are "wanting" I had not really found my style at that point, but that two week adventure was instrumental in the videos that I am producing today. You will absoluty love the paved hike and bike trails! Thanks for watching!!
We just visited this state park today! Loved the fishing pier and the view of the highway bridge in the distance over the water. I would call this one of the best parks to picnic at that I have ever been to. The day use area is real nice. We saw a family of deer cross the road as well. Was able to get close enough to them to get some great photos!
You are in horse country, some really nice places around Pilot Point. Nice video really enjoyed it. If you ever get to or back to Central Texas let me know. I will drop by and we can cook something that will make your tummy happy..
I camped at this park when it 1st opened. Everything was clean and new. I see the place is aging well. Buster hates places he can't go. Texas State Parks are not very pet friendly. In Oklahoma, they invite your pets inside their buildings and all the other places that Texas doesn't. Needless to say, Buster enjoys Ok. parks over Tx. parks. Love the video. Thanks, BB
I can appriciate Buster position on these types of things. The park is aging very well and they have done quite a bit of shoreline management, but that has a down side in that the big boulders make it almost impossible to get to waters edge. Thanks for watching!!
Looks a lot more green now than it did 6 months ago when we were there...lol I always think something is wrong with my audio when I watch your videos....lol Generally I just have my left ear on..lol Sound only comes out one side on your videos. No biggie since I enjoy your videos anyway :-) You did a lot better pronouncing Isle Du Bois than I do that's for sure. Wow, 62 does look good, especially for us bank fishermen. Hahaha...I totally understand catching a few fish would be a nice change. You had a couple of nice cats there would have been tasty on the grill. Sometimes it is easier to just catch them and turn them back rather than having to clean them. Now crappie, I think I would have had to fillet them bad boys. I just looked, site 62 is available mainly during the week like you mentioned. Have to think on that one a bit. By the way, there is a youtuber meet-up at Cedar Hill SP in October if you are interested. Had a good turn out last year but with all this COVID mess, might not be as big of a turn out but we'll see.
I have figured out what is going on with the sound! The GoPro 7 Black has three audio settings I have left it on the "auto" mode and that one is known to switch over to mono when there is any sort of back ground noise like wind. Thanks for bringing the audio to my attention so I can continue to improve my videos!
I actually ha ve several videos! They are from the beginning of my Texas State Park "mission" and are not quite as good as what I am doing now. but here is the play list for Johnson Branch... th-cam.com/play/PLV3OUUap8JeAJnTAjt_tNGIMgQk7omlFI.html I really need to go back and do it all over! thanks for watching!
Please drive by the beach and day use area. It’s been under reconstruction for over a year. I’m a big fan. My husband wants to know where you get your Hawaii style shirts thx
I have several different angles of the beach, so beautiful! All of my loud shirts come from amazon. I have compiled an idea list for my Amazon page just for you... www.amazon.com/shop/bobbarker?listId=PEBSLED27V12 thanks for watching!!
I have camped there probably a 100 times.....Isle Du Bois side.....in my opinion is better and prettier....for sure better sunsets the wood shack is new
I will agree with better sunsets, but I really like Johnson Branch better, just my opinion. I hope Yall are staying safe! I appreciate your coming along for the ride!
in that case then no I did not but there were a number of people catching a lot of sand bass from the pier after dark. how does the audio on this video sound? are you hearing it from both speakers?
We watch your videos before visiting Texas State Parks. And we have become fan of your southern accent.
That Texas drawl has been in the making for 8 generations! LOL! Thanks for watching!
Woohoo fishing 🎣 and fishes 🎣🎣 thanks for another tour 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed! there were quite a few people catching lot of Sand Bass at night on the jetty. thanks for watching!!
