Need a playlist of decent knives that have the Gas Station knife look!
Kunwn Giga Chad Ti, ZDP-189, DLC mirrored, HRP 67-69, Timascus, paid $640 months before it came in.
Yep, Kickstarter is done, finished on the 4th. I pledged for the Enchanter & Magna Mage. Apparently, they are sending a survey to us next Monday where you can change your shipping address and such and they start shipping next Friday
I was wondering how they were going to know where to ship it. I bought one and they didn't ask my address
@@150_ENGINEER looks like we should be receiving a survey from Pledgebox on Monday where we'll be able to verify or change/add our address before they start shipping on Friday. That's the response they gave me on kickstarter when I asked. I hope it moves smoothly :)
@@ICBUAH SWEET!!!! I will be dreaming about this before it arrives.
KickStarter expired Oct 4. Says ALL GONE
Glad you like it 😊
Please tell me they will offer this with an option to omit the thumb stud. It's easy to not drill that hole and I love clean blades. Clean blades are so rare these days.
I would love to see a full dress version of the cjrb frack .this knife is just on the small side for my hands
Damn I almost want to save up for the expensive one. That’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s a work of art and I’m sure it’s sharp. Haven’t finished the video so idk if you get to that or not.
When I have seen button locks fail, it’s not necessarily from a sharp impact. It’s from constant pressure on the blade (or really, drag from the blade getting stuck when trying to pull it out of material) that causes the plunge lock to fail. It causes the thin material of the button itself to deform and the lock to slip. That’s why even proper geometry doesn’t feel reassuring, it’s whether or not that material is robust enough to not deform.
Usually it's coating related. Very few are design related
I got the Magna cut version but I am still not sure if I got the right one because I love s90v, I think I fell for the only 200 made...but s90v is just so amazing in the edge retention dept...this knife will behave awesome in either steel I think
They are great value knives, the materials and varying premium fi😢nish's ,,,,for me a premium CPM mirror finish on a skandi grind is the ultimate 61 h for really affordable price
Now thats a real butter knife
Dang, those are all some beautiful knives. 👍👍 Also, I thought I might have heard "Dust in Roads".😂 Ha, then I just looked him up on the Artisan link and he goes by Dusty. Even better.
Is it secret? Is it safe?
MC, did you by chance scoop up an artisan cutlery revel limited? Magnacut blade and micro milled titanium frame lock for $250?! Only 200 units available. I saw your review of the standard version and figured you might get a limited for yourself.
Yep!
@metal_complex good man. I'm waiting for mine to show up. Just too good to pass up, and I figured you'd know about them!
Honestly that timascus doesnt really grab me. Maybe too blue or something. I have a QSP timascus Penguin Plus, and I really like that timascus. I also love the timascus Kunwu produces. But this stuff doesnt grab me.
Great video man 👍
Kickstarter ended last week!!! Dammittttt!!!
Just bought the Enchanter.
Call it, Tim.
How? Kickstarter ended 4. Okt 2024?
@@Martin.Krischik they say they will start shipping mid-October. I kinda doubt that. Not going to hold my breath.
@@paradoxworkshop4659 I think just “Sorcerer”
@@JohnPaul-ve4pg Mid-October - Which year 😂? It's strange as with a Kickstarter one would normally only order production when the Kickstarter ends and then most OEMs need 4 to 6 month to schedule and execute a production run. Since Artisan Cutlery is there own OEM they will be a bit faster. But that much faster.
Anyway, I can't order for the Kickstarter price any more because MC is using his scheduled Video releases even for limited time offers.
Lightweights and disappears in pocket = Kizer Militaw. I don’t think it’s a bad thing!
THATS JUST ENTRY LEVEL TIMASCUS!!! GAS STATION KNIFE! 😂❤😂
You get a Like for the Zelda reference. 😂
_„20. Aug 2024 - 4. Okt 2024 (45 Tage)“_ - You are to slow for limited time offers.
Knives this nice deserve no, require a better lock!
Dusty Rhodes? Lol
Whoa there, mirror polish is not expensive. Why most knives are not mirror polished is because we as people changed to thinking mirror polished looks cheap. Cheap stuff became mirror polished with chrome and other types of plating. Cheapo knives of the 60`s, 70`s and 80`s were all mirror polished. It is just taking a buffing wheel to your knife. Mirror polishing was a quality thing back in the days when it was a manual operation(early 1800`s), then it became a way to make your cheap stuff look more expensive and finally it became the hallmark of bad quality.
Sexy sorcery
Button locks suck. Compression (or the equivalent) are far superior. Cheers!
What are you cutting where you need a stronger lock? Especially on a form factor like this
@@l4so102 My wife cut her finger on a Kizer serape original when the lock failed with almost zero pressure. I sent a video of the lock failure 20 times in a row to kizer and they said they KNEW it was a problem and offered to send a new knife. BL are the weakest lock mechanism there is. PERIOD
@@l4so102it’s not a question of stronger lock. It’s a question of a button lock being more prone to accidental disengagement, wear on the locking surfaces, or just outright failure of the plunge lock.
I have more faith in a good slipjoint, at least those are predictable.
@@RamboAdventures-oi1mn if you're using a knife correctly and not spine whacking it how do you get cut. When I use a knife I'm pushing the blade in a way that its not going towards my finger so even if the lock does fail the dull part would bend backwards into my hand. Button locks are weaker then other locks and shouldnt be used for a job the requires a triad or other much stronger lock
At this point, with compression locks being available to everyone
I’m not gonna be buying a plunge based button lock for sure
Button operated liner locks or button operated compression locks really should be more common
Heck, didn’t someone do a button operated frame lock??
We should get a nested frame lock operated by the button
At least in the 200$+ world
Button plunge locks still have a place in the budget world
But we are so passed it now for anything else
Wow first
We bow down to thee
I don't like button locks either
So costly to mirror polish a blade....is it f**k. It's not at all difficult and not at all time consuming. It's just something and descent engineering firm can achieve and a easy way to extract maximum money out of people who don't know any better.
Artisan Cutlery Boa is soo much fancier than this.
These knives are nice but not long lasting.. the sharpening choil is badly design.. these knives are only useful for people who don't use their knives... all carry and not much put to work.. as collection, its okay
kunwu Giga chad-$667.00, 😊
