In my opinion you are underestimating Moloch and Rigel, especially on offense. Both have a stun that reaches quite far back (especially Rigel) and are amazing vs dual tank teams, which have become more common since the introduction of light and dark titans. You might think Molochs low health is a disadvantage, but it is actually an advantage, since it lets him ult before other tanks, stunning them before they get their shields or damage going. Considering the way you want to play fire titans (hit fast and hard), Moloch works perfectly for them. It is basically Moloch and Araji that allows fire titans to beat the dual dark/light teams that have more dark than light. Between the speedup and moloch preventing enemies from gathering energy (since they are stunned, and can't do their basic attacks), it allows fire titans to ult at a more powerful totem and still prevent light titans from getting their totem up. He is also why fire titans can beat water teams, since he can block Sigurds shield, and take him and the more frail titans behind him with a totem. Moloch is in my opinion the best tank on offense, because he prevents the opponents tanks from doing what they are supposed to do. Rigel also has a very good stun that reaches farther, but he usually can't stop the enemy tanks from ulting, since his shield needs to break in order activate the stun. Angus is the only tank that NEEDS a tank in front of him to be effective. He has a huge damage potential, but has a tendency to either die or be stunned/blocked before he can get most of it out, and most of the other tanks punish him really hard. I love earth titans, and I just got my earth totem to absolute star today, but I always use Angus with either Rigel or Brustar, otherwise he dies too soon.
@@vurammo Depends on the timing, but all else equal the offense team's tank ults first. So moloch vs. moloch or moloch vs. sigurd (who blocks the stun and the damage), offence wins. For moloch on defense to ult first, he'd have to be lower HP. Even moloch + araji on defense, attacked by a non-araji team, usually still doesn't ult first in my experience (at team power level around 100k in case that matters.) Unless the offense tank is so strong that the damage they're taking doesn't give them much energy, but the defending moloch has attacks plus damage. So yeah Moloch on defense is something you have to deal with, e.g. can interrupt Angus's AoE, but in my experience with my only totem being fire, and moloch + angus as my only good tanks, my team's significantly weaker on defense than offense. In the elemental tournament, once I get to the third round, I win most (but still not yet all on any given day) of the offense fights, but lose on the defense round. (Moloch + Angus + Araji + Hyperion + Ignis, with stronger Moloch, Angus, and Hyperion than the other two, and level 45 1-star fire totem.) It's not great that Moloch dies pretty soon after his ult, if a fight's going to be winnable at all. (If he dies before his ult or even before hyperion heals him, my team loses, since that means the other team's DPS is high.) Another tank that stood in front of Moloch could help some, like Brustar or Sigurd, if they were strong enough to make it worthwhile. So energy generation for the fire totem falls off, making it very rare to get a second activation in a fight that's going to be winnable at all. Only very turtly defensive teams give Araji + Ignis time to generate energy again. (Hmm, it would probably help if my Araji was stronger and got more kills, since those generate a lot of energy.) So I sometimes let my totem charge up for a 150 to 170% activation, but that's a big risk since some damage earlier can take an enemy titan off the field, so I normally only do that in tournament of elements fights where I can retry. Or against earth teams to break their shield without reflected damage. It's not a great team, but my 5-star Angus is what RNG gave me, and I need a strong Angus for dungeons. (And a strong Hyperion to carry my water titans with a strong-enough Sigurd). And fire is a good attacker totem, and my guild is very short of people that actually bother to attack in GW. So not a great team, but can usually win on offence against most teams of equal or slightly higher power level of any of the 3 elemental types, unless their totem is much stronger. A strong Tenebris or Solaris can be a problem, as can a Light or Dark team. As a f2p player for a few months, I can't build multiple strong teams or realistically get another totem. :/ But I level other titans for event quests that reward that, since the same number of potions gives many more levels on baby titans. But I only have a couple un-leveled light/dark titans left, so doing that doesn't pay for itself as much. :/ Saving their leveling for the night & day event.
@@Peter_Cordes Based on what you are writing, you seem to still be pretty early game. 100k means you have barely started, so you still have a long way to go. Not trying to discredit you, just want you to know that as you grow stronger, the dynamic between the titans changes, especially when you get totems. Also, if you want to have a totem that charges faster, swap out Angus for Vulcan. More fire titans means more energy faster, and you can use your totem multiple times more often. Fire titans rely a lot on their totem to do a lot of damage, so it is more important for fire to have all the fire titans than other types. I understand that your angus is strong, but he is kinda working the opposite way of fire titans. Fire titans are all about massive damage to one target at the time, while Angus does small spread damage. So not only does Angus work opposite of fire titans, you are also losing out on totem charge by having him instead of Vulcan. I am not saying that you need to completely give up on Angus, just keep leveling him for dungeon only instead. Since you are F2P, dungeon grinding to get that 150 titanite every day is very important, since you will get closer to unlocking the titan soul shop, where you can get WAY more titan potions and gold. If you can, try to look for a better, more active guild. If you can show good activity, titanite and guild prestige, some higher guilds might accept someone with lower power to help them grow
@@SamuelHDyga Interesting point of going for more totem activations instead of more titan damage. Vulcan on his own isn't that great, but I have sometimes played around with bringing him in tournament of elements fights. He'd need a lot of investment to be a suitable replacement, though; Moloch dies fairly fast against teams where I'm equally matched, and then they'd be smacking Vulcan and/or Araji around if I didn't have another tank. But that generates energy, so as long as a tough Hyperion can hang on at the back to give the fire tornado time to sweep across the other team, that could work. Yeah, I'd already realized that fire was all about offence and a quick victory. (And single-target DPS, which has the advantage of not energizing all the other titans at once for their ults. But the totem does that, so angus + hyperion is kind of leaning into that AoE strategy.) If I did power up vulcan more, I could still swap him out for Angus against water teams. (Or possibly swap out Hyperion against some teams, but a heal on Moloch is often necessary for him to survive long enough for his first ult.) I do have a 4-star Vulcan, lvl40, so not far behind my Ignis, and plenty of essence of the elements to upgrade his artifacts some more. My fire totem is only lvl45 1-star. If I upgraded it more instead of buying Yasmine (and Jhu) soul stones with my silver GW trophies, that would increase the value of running more fire titans. Not to mention how heavily pay2win it all is.) The amount of grind for a single upgrade is getting ridiculous, like a week of running the same campaign mission over and over while watching youtube videos in another window. Rigel is the best, anyone who undermines him, hasn't been playing him in the Dungeon at all. First of all, he absolutely stuns marksmen too. Test him, don't rely on descriptions. Second, if Rigel's ult is boosted e.g. by Ignis, or Iyari, it lasts more-or-less forever unlike Sigurd's 5 seconds.
Light and Dark teams seem generally superior over the old water/fire/earth based teams. If I were to start a new account I'd focus on one of them for sure. Struggle a bit in the titan dungeon but you will get to those eventually also.
You'd struggle a lot in dungeon since a significant percentage of fights are specific elements only so you wouldn't get very far without at least somewhat developing nature titans.
I disagree. In previous Power of the Titans events that had seal chests for 100 coins, that's worth five seals, whereas it costs 75 coins to buy the seals themselves here so it's 25% less in price.
@@seandobbins2231True, it's more efficient compared to the last titan emerald coins event. If I were you I'd buy my seals from the clash of the titans event and buy skin stones here. Nice. I use Mort + Angus in the dungeon for any-titans fights, to get his health back up. Starting a fight with both of them at full energy (by playing on manual and *not* wasting their ults late in the previous fight), Angus can heal himself for more damage than he takes, with the rest of my dungeon team being a strong hyperion, and weaker nova + eden who are there to reduce incoming damage and prolong the fight so Mort can get back to full energy. (Angus gets there from kills, with he and Hyperion doing 90% of the team's damage.) In the first any-titans fight of the day, I use Brustar or Rigel as cannon fodder to soak damage while Mort gains energy as Angus AoEs down the enemies. They die, but after that my any-titans team is pretty much self-sustaining as long as I retreat and retry any fights where Eden pulled Mort or timing didn't work out for him to end the fight with good energy. (Or if I could have used stuns or my Eden's RNG to avoid a big AoE that damaged my baby titans a lot, which could draw hyperion's heals away from Angus in later fights.)
Game goes by too quickly for me to go manually. Maybe when i get maxed out i can go manual. Otherwise my team just gets obliterated on manual. Been using Auto
If game speed is too much to keep up with when activating ults with a cursor, you can set up hotkeys instead so you can do them more quickly. I don't find it too fast personally since you can generally predict the order they'd ult in so you can just prepare yourself to be in the right spot when necessary, but if I wanted to react more quickly, I'd use hotkeys.
They will release an abnornal skin (like recent one to Tenebris and Solaris, giving unjustified amount of armor instead of attack), and this tier list will have to be reviewed.
It's hard to say that they'll release a 2nd special skin for titans, especially since it'd undermine current ones varying between elemental damage and defense, plus it took years for them to release all champion skins for titans. We'd likely see new titans before new skins. Reason why there's far more variance in hero skins is heroes have more stats than titans, plus there are just a lot more heroes so they vary a lot more in general. Tenebris and Solaris get more elemental defense from their skins than others because they're super titans, as the same can be said of elemental damage for nature super titans. Also, given that it's elemental defense it only affects opposing light/dark titans anyway so there's a maintained balance between the two.
