    most petrol blow-lamps, have a recess around the top centre of the petrol reservoir. you pour a little meths into that, pump the petrol reservoir pump-handle, with the petrol valve closed. as the meths heats the petrol pipe, coiled inside the flame nozzle, that converts the liquid petrol stream, inside that petrol pipe, into vapour. the meths flame ignites the vapour, when you slightly open the petrol valve. adjust the valve, to produce , to a faintly-visible blue flame, that makes a roaring noise. it's running1 To switch-off, close the petrol valve, and leave to cool.

    you use it in wrong way
    the right way is as follow
    1- release the back valve
    2- push the presser continuously until kerosene come out of the eye
    3- fire the kerosene and leave it for a while until it builds the starter pressure from cold state and got hot.
    4- push the presser again to build high pressure
    5- back valve is used to control the fire out of the torch
    start using it
    to close it release the internal pressure by slightly release the cover of the tank where you put the kerosene.
    that's it.

    jesus christ. first off, run it on kerosene, otherwise the air/fuel mix is wrong. secondly, let the pan in the base fill with fuel before shutting off the valve and lighting. that will preheat the vapour jet and get the torch to run properly, otherwise you will get that pulsing sputter. Also, just try to avoid this type of torch if at all possible, they are prone to cause severe burns if not taken proper care of.

    00 This is not the way to light it. this is a wrong way and never use petrol instead of kerosene or diesel.00 DONT pump it first and dont close the head tap (black) fully.
    1 take a metal rode of very small gauge .
    2.put some cotton on the head of the stick and add some kerosene to it.
    3.light the cotton and put it on the spirit cup or inside of the side gap near the spray head inside.
    4.wait for some times and give some time to heat well
    5.then 2/3 times pump the piston and suddenly take the metal stick back.
    6.slowly pump it and give more pressure. and dont pump it wildly.
    7.slowly tight the back tap (black) until good flame comes.
    8.use air screw on the tank to off the heater. and dont use the back srew on the head to off the flame.
    9.if it shows any difficulties in firing between firing or not getting good flame when it is flaming badly then use the pin tool. close the spray head inside the scilenser with the pin tool when it is firing. sudenly the flame stop and take the pin back. u can see the fine and powerull diesel spray quikly take a lamb and light the sray as a blue and fine fire. and thanks for reading.

    The blow lamps works with kerosene and not gasoline. Once heated with methylated spirit or surgical spirit, the gasifier at the top vapourizes the pressurised kerosene. The blow lamp flame should be mostly blue high temperature, and not soothy yellow.
    Use kerosene. Otherwise it's dangerous.

      @luiginocm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AS-ug2vq . Gasoline, known as petrol, is a dangerous volatile inflammable fuel. I do not think that blow lamps exist that work on gasoline, and if they do they would be lethal. People make confusion between gasoline and kerosene, the latter being also known as paraffin or lamp oil. Kerosene is a non-volatile and less dangerous liquid fuel.

      @@luiginocm I know what gasoline is bro, there is gasoline blowtorch. Google it, there are patents published too. It works without vapouriser coil unlike kerosene which has higher flash point so needs vapouriser in the burn tube.

    • @luiginocm
      @luiginocm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AS-ug2vq . Thanks, I did some research on patents. As you said gasoline has a lower temperature flash point. I wonder whether accidents did happen if kerosene blow torches were erroneously filled with gasoline, due to the large vaporiser coil in direct contact with the torch. The gasoline ones induced people to handle gasoline when pouring, using funnels, etc. Imagine smoking a cigarette......
      Anyway, these blow torches are wonderful, particularly for me the kerosene ones. My dad used these often to solder and make some tin repairs (DIY, not by profession) and to peel off old paint from wooden doors at home. 1960s and 1970s. Good old days.
