Yeah, when you face him for the first time in the true tower he says that Ichiban is here to become a true dragon. If you come back for a rematch this clip shows of Amon eating. If you lose, no dialogue is shown.
He just basically is chillaxing eating lunch after the 1st beatdown. And he basically is surprised and says you're back? Very well surpass me again and become the true dragon
This was brutal, got killed 3 times from him casting orbital laser 3 times in a row 1 round, then he casted instant kills back to back the 2nd round when he was almost dead and the 3rd round was a mix of both, I'm just glad I had the yen to revive. I finished this dungeon all the way to the amon boss. Defeated him and then when the cutscene with kiryu ended, my game decided to crash. This dungeon took 1 and half hour to complete
Just an update: GOT THE PLATINUM YEEEET!!! Some stuff to mention from my experience! -Do not think this is impossible or extremely hard, really grindy sure but easily doable. -I died 4 times but rest assured i had some bad luck with certain enemies and i kept getting stuck in a reviving chain with party members -DEFINITELY have enforcer, Foreman and the DLC (or Bodyguard and Host) maxed out. You don't have to worry about maxing every Job. JUST MAKE SURE TO GET ELEMENT ATTACKS FROM HOST. Super helpful on the Amon fight. -on my 5th run, the one which I got it done on, i learnt the best strategy is... SPAM Orbital laser and the enforcer paralyze attack (forgot the name). Trust me, the paralyze effect made everything a breeze!! And to compensate for the MP loss, just buy MP restorative items and lunchboxes from Survive bar. -HEAL even if you lost barely a chunk of health, you wouldn't want to get damaged ALOT instantly by an attack. On Amons fight, play defensively, use the element weaknesses against Kiryu, Majima and Saejima. Always, ALWAYS heal and have peerless resolve just like the video. AND SINCE THIS IS THE ONLY TIME...SUMMON EVERY FREAKING POUNDMATE for that crispy damage. I'm sure you'll have at least more than 10 mil to have every summon available. Thank you again for this video, made my runs all the more careful and full of excitement at the same time. I loved this game and the Platinum was ultra satisfying! Edit: IF A PARTY MEMBER DIES, DO NOT TRY TO REVIVE UNLESS THE ENEMY ISN'T ALMOST DEAD. They won't need the exp, so always just keep going and get the battle done! Heal them after the battle!

Dude this dungeon destroys me. How did get your stats so high? My Ichiban's stats are nowhere close to yours and he's 99 in both character and job class.
I used dragon binding and eye of the dragon for items, upgraded his main weapon (hero class) and used the armour from chapter 15. I also used some of the energy drinks to help with some of Ichiban's stats. I didn't buy the dlc pack for items. It is always best to use peerless resolve with Ichiban at the start of every battle in the tower.
Even after reaching 99 in both you still got other jobs you can max out and every 5 job ranks you get a boost to your overall stats. So after you reach 99 in all job ranks your stats will be sgnificantly higher.
Another Matriarch Eri enjoyer!! For my run, I had Courage Pendants on her and Ichi, and she was able to dispel the fear for the rest of the party. Everyone except Ichiban had a Sacrifice Stone as well, which helped when the instant K.O. attacks landed. Finally, I called Mr. Masochist as soon as Ichi could move after that Malicious Grin, and the resistance boost made that Orbital Laser do 25% maximum!! It felt like cheating, but it was 100% just preparation 😅
Oh sh*t.. The thought entity of kiryu was more powerful as we thought.. He can hit WOMEN as you can clearly see here when he uses essence of dragon god 21:36 on ichibans team saeko and eri's health also drops. Uh oh.
I just beat this a few minutes ago and i can safely say this is the worst experience i have ever had playing a Yakuza game, even though i beat this on my first attempt, it was still a drag and a ridiculous difficulty spike compared to the rest of the game this was beyond frustrating and the worst part is, you get jack shit for completing it, just a "you have our respect" message and a piss colour version of the Hero costume which just sucks, I'm surprised and disappointed that there wasn't another dialogue exchange between Kiryu and Amon for the True dungeon, would've made it kind of worth going through the slog of grinding and beating this tragedy
I mean, less than 1% of 1% of players will actually beat the tower, it's supposed to be the hardest possible thing in the game. It's classic DragonQuest. I'm glad they don't lock story content behind an intentionally hard difficulty spike. Play the game, enjoy the game, beat the game. Here's a super challenging dungeon if you want to keep going while we make the next one.
After all the stuff I read about this dungeon, I'm glad I stopped after the first version of the dungeon. In regard to job setups for the team to tackle the tower, is it more viable to make Joon-gi be an Enforcer than any other job for the defense perks? I got him as a Host but that job makes him squishy in exchange for speedy high dmg magic output (& i had him learn the other elemental skills from other jobs). And does having Nanba as Musician for support/ black mage shenanigans & Adachi as a Foreman for the high Hp, MP, & his status infliction debuff resistance skill sound strategically sound against Amon? All of my gear & weapons are maxed out but need a strategy; thx
Sounds good with what you suggested. Nanba as homeless is pretty good as a black mage. Him as a musician is more of a white mage. Joon-gi Han is good as enforcer, same with Adachi. I haven't used foreman so I cannot comment on it. You could have Eri as idol, her agility is pretty good making her first to do any action in the party. Very useful if you need to heal very often.
@@GreenRedBlue20 thx for the evaluation. I’ve read from a Job guide that the stat buffs unlocked via leveling up in various jobs are permanent to the character itself, despite any job switches, so thats prompting me to make all the males who weren’t an Enforcer at some point to be one. I also did a test run at the True Tower & got cooked & brainwashed on the 5th floor. NG+ may need to happen for the exp boosts on Legend

Nice run but quick question: why do you use endless desire when you’d just use magical concert/hero’s embrace when you get damaged anyway since those 2 are full heals and endless desire is a hp regen tick
I just beat this level with minimal amount of work. You honestly need 1 job to 99 some jobs to 30. The main gear would be to just equip sacrificial stone to all your main during this fight cause amon will one shot you no matter what. Then it's all easy from there. Don't forget the kimchi.

In the small briefcases around the city. The items in a briefcase are random though, you won't get a energy drink every time. There is one tip I found on a Japanese wiki, you can go around Sotenbori collecting briefcases & then take a taxi to another part of Sotenbori & repeat. As I mentioned above, you are not guaranteed a energy drink but it saves you time going around Yokohama & Kamurocho looking for briefcases.
Eye of the dragon can be obtained from one of the part time hero quests & after you beat the sujidex master after adding 251 sujimons to the sujidex. Dragon binding can be obtained from kiryu boss fight, one safe in Kamurocho & one of the part time hero quests.

How do you get all of your characters to survive orbitals laser? Its the only thing thats stopping me from beating this. Even with Kasugas pearless resolve doesn't help me cuz my Amon just follows up with another attack then I lose.
I went with Ichi as Hero, Joon-gi as Host, Zhao as Gangster, and Saeko as Idol. Never really used Adachi but he was still on Enforcer, and Nanba + Eri on their default jobs. With several jobs at level 99
My stats are at the end of the video. Also check what items you have equipped each character. Another thing is when enemies do melee attacks, press circle at the right time to do perfect guard, it's good to have two healers (idol & hero Ichiban) in the party.
I’m going to be grinding to get the platinum trophy so what is the ideal party and jobs to have. I recently beat the game with party members having their default jobs. Any specific items and equipment to use?
Best jobs to have are hero and idol. Ichiban can act as a healer as shown in the video. It also depends on what strategy you use for your battles. As for items, always equip dragon binding and eye of the dragon or war god keystone. This can increase hp and other stats. For armour you can use the Quixotic armour, you can obtain this in chapter 15 or craft in the workshop.
@@GreenRedBlue20 Thanks for the advice! Also how do you upgrade the job ranks to level 99? I’m not even close to forty for all the characters. Do I need to get all jobs to level 99 for stats to carry over?
@@Eric_Cartman1 once you get to Kamurocho, you can go to the underground dungeon (same dungeon you and Adachi went to at the start of the game). In that dungeon you will come across the homeless vagabonds, use Joon-gi han's rapid shot on the vagabonds. This will net you 400000 exp + additional exp if you have any items that boost exp. You don't really need to level all jobs to level 99, just level 1 or 2 jobs to level 99 and the rest to level 30. After job level 30 you only get stat boosts, no skills.
@@GreenRedBlue20 i have that too, but my first few ticks were just 9MP so I thought they were horrible. 20MP is still pretty low, but with the MP steal and mouthguard I can make something for Han.
So is the dungeon and fight still hard on normal, or would the latter be better on ex-hard? Is NG+ on ex-hard more difficult than the base game? I know that ex-hard in general hands out a ton more of job exp.
1. Yes the fight is hard on normal due to the damage enemies do. I didn't try the tower on ex hard so I can't comment on that. 2. Yes, enemies take longer to kill plus they hit hard. 3. Best place to grind is the Kamurocho underground dungeon. Use Joon-gi han's rapid shot on vagabonds. You will net 400000 exp + extra if you equip items that boost job exp. Thank you, but the issue with that is I'm going to bars/restaurants and they aren't having a full blown conversation at the table. Just a "Thank you for the food" eat and get out. Am I doing something wrong or is my game possibly buggy?
I would say don't go to the same restaurant. Do a few battles and go to a different restaurant. Best place would be to go to the area next to restaurant row (can't spell it) where you have the coffee shop and wild Jackson. Saves you from walking around the whole map. Hopefully this works.

Just an update:
GOT THE PLATINUM YEEEET!!!
Some stuff to mention from my experience!
-Do not think this is impossible or extremely hard, really grindy sure but easily doable.
-I died 4 times but rest assured i had some bad luck with certain enemies and i kept getting stuck in a reviving chain with party members
-DEFINITELY have enforcer, Foreman and the DLC (or Bodyguard and Host) maxed out.
Edit:
IF A PARTY MEMBER DIES, DO NOT TRY TO REVIVE UNLESS THE ENEMY ISN'T ALMOST DEAD.

You need to play Kiryu and fight him in non-turned base form.
Even after reaching 99 in both you still got other jobs you can max out and every 5 job ranks you get a boost to your overall stats. So after you reach 99 in all job ranks your stats will be sgnificantly higher.

First zombies, now ghosts. This game is rad.
I would say the worst experience I had playing a Yakuza game is playing Judgment.
Other than that you have a fair point.
I mean, less than 1% of 1% of players will actually beat the tower, it's supposed to be the hardest possible thing in the game. It's classic DragonQuest. I'm glad they don't lock story content behind an intentionally hard difficulty spike.
