My parents never fought directly in front of us. If they were arguing they went into their bedroom & closed the door. We knew there was tension & would try to listen outside the door. They never yelled at each other, but we could hear snippets. I personally am grateful they didn't fight in front of us. My cousins weren't so lucky & having witnessed parents argue in front of their children & behind closed doors, I'd choose the latter...
