a cool thing you can do to counter thunder kick is you can counter the kick itself, if the kick is about to hit you if u use either split second counter or prey's peril you can counter it
Incinerate only does little dmg if you're far, but if you're right up against the upponet then it will take like more than half ur health. Trying to get behind them is a risky move (recommended 3 seconds before the ult starts so he doesn't turn around), so I usually just run away if I'm too far or run to the side if I'm very far
What I like to do is use Sonic and when I see someone pointing at me with Incinerate, I will wait a little bit and then use Flash Strike to get behind them, because if I time it correctly, they cannot turn to me and then I can combo extend them.
Some extra tips: Flamewave cannon actually cannot be cancelled ONLY at the start, It can be cancelled any time unless it already hit anybody!!!! Straight on can be blocked, it will still damage you but wont stun so you can attack a sonic user. (Note: straight on stuns you as always if they hit from behind) They can use strength difference after tornado move, so save your ragdoll cancel when fighting metal bwt ult. Basically save it until you know move kills you, brutal beatdown for example does al9t of damage, so if you low its better save ragdoll cancel for this move, if you wasted ragdoll cancel be careful. Thunder kick can be countered too, but only the kick. Also, grab moves completely negate the explosion of thunder kick and you can combo them. Pretty random but you can use saitama uppercut to dodge foulfould flash strike by going in air a bit. Thats all i wanted to add 😅
something to note, which most people don't know about is that you can immediately cancel savage tornado and brutal beatdown into death blow, as long as their start-up animation is playing
1:25 u can block both table flip and serious punch. once you block the gust of air that pushes you, you will then be able to freely move without being slow.
But u need to have godly reactions and its basically impossible cuz when the player clicks/activates table flip the first thing to happen is the gist of wind and I don't think it's possible to block that since the duration between the activation on the users end and the gist of wind is like in milliseconds
Noticed that two things weren't mentioned for metal bat so Ima say it 1. Yes after metal bats moves there is endlag for them the thing is with metal bat they can use death blow within half a second of the move being done. 2. Second is death blow is able to be used during the wind-up of savage and brutal (during the time your able to hit them to cancel it) so if someone with metal bat knows what their during and doesn't fall for the bait then it would be really deadly.
Death counter has 3 main ways of detecting it actually. 1. The player will start regening health which doesnt happen when they havent used the ult yet 2. Their movement decreases afterwards. While their speed before using any moves is faster if they do use DC speed decreases 3. If they use base moveset
6:27 The bad thing about this is that most metal bats know it, so they bait it, and it is practically impossible to have that reaction of knowing if the metal is going to bait it or not, I always do it and it turns out well, thus they lose the most important hability.
another thing to counter death blow: use the final hunt on it (when they're blocking with the bat) holding block (blocking can disable stun on death blow but not decreasing any damage, you can block and then try to cancel the move because youre near them)
also something about saitama ult, when they use their ult, they don't regen, so when they start to regen again, it means they used their death counter already
Extra useful tips not mentioned To know if someone used death counter, if they start healing then you know they have used it since when you go saitama ult, you actually don't heal up but you only heal after you have used an ult move. (For saitama only) For garou's ult you can actually punish crushed rock by forward dashing and looping around them as they end the move. The forward dash cancels it since crushed rock no longer gives I-frames if it doesn't hit anyone. (Just don't be too close) So for sonic's twinblade rush, I suggest backdashing towards the sonic but not directly into them. This works since backdash gives slight I-frames for the first half of it making it so that sonics ult move does not hit. Be careful with metal bat's ult, it's actually very deadly since you can switch to death blow from savage or brutal in the first half of the move. But like he said, to avoid this it's best to bait death blow first.
You can usually side dash into the sonic after his 1st move, also, Genos’ 3rd move makes him vulnerable the entire duration of the move unless it hits something, and garou can do final hunt (the move you need to watch out) as a true hit if he does his barrage first, regardless of if you have evasive, or not Small edit: forgot to say that when you side dash into the Sonic, you usually get to m1 them for free, blitz kick can also be fully avoided to get damaged by with moves that ragdoll, including final m1
1:39, you can actually activate your ultimate to get out of the table flip, because you have no hitboxes in activation. In conclusion, you can actually waste their ult and then fight them without ult. Its just another solution if your not the best at dashing.
No flamewave cannon can be canceled if no one is getting hit by it you can cancel at starting bc no one getting hit by it and btw you can cancel brutal beatdown and savage tornado in the startup
6:07 a more efficient way to avoid brutal beat down is to save ur ragdoll cancel the moment it launches u, most metal bats tend to bait ur ragdoll cancel wit savage tornado so avoid that. I learned alot myself from this video as a 16k keep up the good work!!
I should mention that metal bat can use death blow during the startup of savage tornado and brutal beatdown so you HAVE to bait out death blow first to deal any damage to them safely. But also I don’t know why people don’t just side dash away and then use metal bat’s ult moves

Extra for Saitama. You are able to block the Serious Punch and Table Flip to not get the slow debuff you get normally. This is useful if the enemy doesn't have the knowledge of this which is surprisingly common. Also, Genos claps Sonic ult and using evasive gives very slight i-frames for Sonic's moves like Carnage and Straight On
one thing to punish twinblade rush is to side dash onto them and not use any moves that they can escape such as 2 m1s consecutive shove hit side dash and than normal punch bc its completly unescapble and takes a chunck out of their health
@@Ohmydayz9backdashing makes you immune to many attacks, this includes twin blade rush. Someone did a myth busters on this, if your ping is above 200 then you can’t react in time.

Small tip Genos: Thunder kick can basically be countered/cancelled by certain moves like normal punch, flowing water, and lethal (or anything that can ragdoll or grabs if im right) however if your skills are off cooldown, you can uppercut or downslam to cancel the whole move all in all(during the charging part) but only do it if you're fast enough if you're not i recommend just cancelling it out with an m1
garou's ult at the beginning of the awk can cancel atomic's sunset, metal bat's death blow and genos' inciderator the final hunt can bypass saitama's counter (even if it is active), atomic's sunset, metal bat's death blow and genos' inciderator. and if you want to do the final hunt to atomic's sunset just wait for him to do the attacks he does at the start of the skill and when he has finished his attacks you hit him with the final hunt when he has put his katana on the ground.

Death Blow's AOE can be blocked outside of a certain radius (the unblockable radius is about the size of the crater for Crushed Rock), so you can block then rush in and punish.
If you used your ragdoll cancel while fighting a awakened atomic samurai player, the combo they'll be using is 2, 3 if your still alive 1 and if they miss they make you use your ragdoll cancel and downslam then use 4 so, even if you have escaped the combo, they can still reach you with 3, if they are lucky
Warning about Saitama death counter: It cannon counter. Drop kick from cyborg, and Incenator if you're far away for him. get closer. It can't counter ultimate start ups (metal bat and hero hunter for example).
You could also let them do the thunder kick and throw out 4 m1s, but hitting them with only the last m1, which completely knocks them over and does absolutely no damage to you at all, but it’s quite risky so you have to have it ready

here's 2 tips to make fighting sonic ult easier. 1. u can punish twinblade rush by ragdoll cancelling right after they kick u away. 2. if the sonic doesnt know what he's doing and waits for all of straight on's animation to finish, u got a lot of chances to punish them by interrupting them by using m1 or an AOE move. what i like about garou’s ult is you can use final hunt to counter a death counter,incinerate and death blow what i also do is wait until the enemy uses their biggest attack (something like table flip) and only then i use my ult since you’ll be invisible to damage plus you gain the advantage

There are some things you missed about countering Saitama, metal bat and genos. Metal bat can be easily countered by a handful of ulti moves that either ignore or penetrate death blow. If a Saitama is trying to get you death countered, use your ult. Every ult besides sonic has one ability to ignore death counter, and they do insane damage. Some are even reusable as they have a cooldown. If you hit the awakening animation too, it's bonus damage. For genos incinerate, pop your ult if you are not a metal bat. Incinerate lasts as long as every ult animation besides metal bat and atomic samurai, who have a shorter ult animation and longer ult animation respectively.
Something that you forgot to talk about is final hunt which ignores death counter so if they're at 60% you can kill em if they have counter up. This works with death blow, atomic slash, incinerate, and flash fold strike. In other words, it ignores I frames.
i think i can add a few more tips for each ult : saitama: bait the death counter and never waste ragdoll escape thats basically it. maybe try risking a combo by risking their death counter not being used. garou: side dash to dodge crushed rock and dash after they miss. a combo can be done after that genos: just dodge speed blitz drop kick and flamewave cannon, if they use thunder kick then punch them or use a move that can cancel it. if they use incinerate then bait them to miss, or use reverse psychology (reverse psychology used twice if needed) sonic: theres almost nothing you can do, after being hit by twin blade rush, use ragdoll escape TOWARDS the sonic. you can get a combo if they arent careful you can block straight on or just dodge it landing a combo will be easy if you blocked it, you wont get stunned and can combo them. metal bat: waste death blow as said in the video. then cancel all their moves. if they use strength difference then just side dash to dodge and dash into it, just like crushed rock atomic samurai: try best to dodge solar cleave. if you get hit, they will use sunrise, so you have to use ragdoll escape because it does a lot of damage. to dodge sunset or atomic slash, just dont get m1ed, and you need ragdoll cancel to dodge atomic slash because you can easily dodge without getting m1ed but with m1s you need ragdoll cancel. tatsumaki: just dont get too close to them or dont get m1ed. very simple hope this helped
For Metal Bat's ultimate, be aware that if you waste your side dash before the Brutal Beatdown grand slam, then the user can do a 1 hit combo (Savage Tornado, Brutal Beatdown, Strength Difference). They can also activate Death Blow during the Savage Tornado and Strength Difference windups in order to bait attacks from skilled and unskilled players alike. Don't forget that, because the Death Blow miss AOE does nearly half HP to those close enough (and has dangerous ragdoll time), they can use Strength Difference to finish off the opponent if they haven't used it already. TL;DR: if you waste side dashes during Metal Bat ult, you're basically dead

heres a few extra facts (and corrections) saitama - when awakened, your health regen is completely disabled - death counter lasts for exactly 10 seconds - escaping table flip is kinda rng, depends on which direction you get flung it also has a chance for the stun to be longer than usual (also thought i'd leave this aswell: all of saitamas awakening moves bypass s) garou - water rock smashing fist is cancellable, as long as no ones being hit by it - rock splitting fist also has the same function as water rock smashing fist (no one hit = no s) - crushed rock is extremely predictable, try to dodge it with a backroll (or counter with preys peril/split second counter) - if they have the final hunt available to use, don't use any moves that lock you in place but give s, the final hunt bypasses s completely genos - during the windup of thunder kick variant, you can use a ragdolling move (e.g. explosive shuriken, blitz shot, etc) and it will ragdoll them, not blasting anyone away - speedblitz windup is actually cancellable (but it's way too quick to cancel) - flamewave cannon is actually cancellable ANYTIME, as long as no one's being hit by it. you only get s during flamewave IF someone's caught in it - incinerate flicking is counterable, at the end of the windup they cannot move their camera anymore for enough time for you to dash behind them sonic - okay realistically there's nothing you can do aside from accepting death metal bat - don't be greedy everytime with cancelling their savage tornado/brutal beatdown during their windups, those 2 can be cancelled by death blow and is hard to predict between players - strength difference can be blocked for less damage (65% > 43%) but it's pretty much pointless to do so when you can just dash out - death blow whiffed variant can be blocked aswell to nullify the ragdoll atomic samurai - just like sonic, not much you can do, aside from punishing them with sunset (or sunrise if you're lucky). that's the most you can do tbh QUICK NOTE saitama ult anim does not give the same s as every other ult anim. this is very useful against garou's and atomic samurai's ultimates because they bypass s; meaning that you can pop ult the moment you get hit by ult anim aoe and it will STILL knock you while also hiding you popping the ult ok looking back to this this is way too long lmao
here is a little tip for omni directional serious punch: first u would need to learn the ragdoll time for m1s (downslam the weakest dummy then count how long he’s ragdolled for) another small tip, if a saitama user walks up to u and tries to ragdoll you, that’s because they are awakened, they also don’t regen so its easy to notice second, if they do the 4th m1 with any variant (uppercut, downslam) then remember the ragdoll time and side dash without using your evasive just after you stand up so non-expierenced players will think you used evasive then they’ll try to omni u, so wait until they use it then side dash out of it.
Another thing to help with metal bat, idk if someone else has said this already When they use a move like savage tornado or brutal beatdown, if you time it right, you can backwards dash into the attack, which stops you from getting hit. This doesn’t work with strength differnece and death blow obviously, but it’s pretty good becuase they deal a lot of damage
You can also counter genos thunder kick by using Garou's flowing water move and you can counter death counter by Garou's third move, Geno's speedblitz drop kick, and pretty sure atomic samurai's Atomic slice move also counters death counter.
Metal bat can be the deadliest ult if used right, due to how death blow works, you can use it in the DELAY of both savage and brutal beatdown and if you try to attack, you get death blowed, also about the save ragdoll thing, after savage, they can go for strength difference and if you use it on that, they can front dash, downslam, brutal beatdown you for free
One thing that u can do is when someone uses straight on. If they are running towards you, try to punch the player when they touch you, it would stop them and cancel the move. You can cancel the thunder kick varient by using sonic its because you can either use exploding shuriken or wheelwind kick.
This video is kind of informative for new players, but even so it still lacks quite a lot of info about the moves, and I won't bother listing them out since they're already mentioned in this comment section. Maybe keep those in mind if you ever decided to remake this video in the future 👌
Another tip: if the enemy misses the thunderkick and the exploding startup is happening try using moves if you want to take 0 damage. Ex: lethal whirlwind stream, flowing water, beatdown, foul ball, etc.
Also, a few seconds before Incinerate activates the fire, the charachter position gets locked, só once you see 2 circles appear on genos hands side dash to their back to avoid it
Advice for metal bat users who want to use the ult well is to get a distance from the enemy where they cant reach you during the startup, then use one of the first 2 ult moves. One sidedash should be enough for the 1 skill, which I reccomend starting with. For the 2 skill, sidedash then normal dash to not get hit during the startup. For the last two moves, only use them if you know for certain that you can land them. Only use strength difference if you've landed the 1 or 2 without the opponent dodging. Death blow should only be used if the enemy is 100% not able to dodge out in time, or you're about to be hit.

For sonic ultimate: if they use straight on to you, you can block to avoid stun and quickly side dash to combo them. OR, if you don’t get hit, try to get close when the sonic is using straight on, if you have a ranged move (like normal punch) try to hit them with that (miss variant) as it cancels out their move. Twinblade rush is hard to avoid. if you have people near you and the sonic is going to use it on you. try baiting the sonic to make him go to the other player instead of you. (you can also use normal punch, scatter, etc (miss variant) on this like straight on). Also when they use twinblade rush. DO NOT USE RAGDOLL CANCEL IMMEDIATELY as the sonic can bait your ragdoll and use something like carnage in order to waste your dash. use it when you almost get hit by carnage or something like that. for fourfold flash strike, just try to avoid it. you can easily m1 them if they miss. for carnage. Try either 1: before they do the animation for carnage, hit them before they do the move (or just do a combo for short) 2: try to dodge it as it is very easy to dodge For genos flamewave cannon, you cannot hit the genos if the genos already hit someone with the flamewave (you can if it’s the starting animation), but you can also hit the genos if the genos misses and hits nothing.
Fun fact:In the older version of the game. Flamewave cannon had Iframes. Now in the newer version. If the Flamewave cannon doesn't hit anybody. It has no Iframes.
Bad news: if metal bat saves the death blow and use a move like brutal beat down or savage tornado, in case the enemy can try to cancel it, metal can quickly use death blow during the warmup
Fun fact : if you get hit by table flip if you’re not close enough to the edge and side dash into front dash won’t work you can alternatively use ultimate to prevent death (however this does not work with saitama ult since as you may know you can still get hit by something very quickly after ult pop)
When fighting saitama ult with genos ult, you can kinda “counter death counter”. If you are certain they use death counter, use and hit them with speedblitz dropkick. Its one of the few moves that can bypass deathcounter
Corrections : Death counter lasts 10 seconds btw. If someone lands a garou ult 1 then use 2 while you side dash, 2 still lands, it's a true combo. Flameware Cannon actually has s, you just have to hit someone to get them. Incinerate can actually kill a player, if your far : expect 20 - 30% dmg, but if your close or just exactly behind the attack, it does around 50 - 70%. To fully avoid brutal beatdown, do not waste your evade if you got hit by Savage Tornado, use it immediately after the 3rd whirlwind, if you don't have it, Savage Tornado can confirm into Brutal beatdown AND it can confirm into Savage Tornado. 3:23 if you wanna counter incinerate without saitama ult, you can move around them till the last second, and sidedash behind them and they shouldn’t hit you
Another thing about countering incenerate: you can use your garou ult to completely remove it and if they use after you used there ult you can simply get rid of them with a simple final hunt

Bonus tips for sonic: his first ability can be countered with a simple normal punch. The shockwave will cancel his move. You can also m1 sonic in his second move if he gets close, completely stopping the move.

1. Yes after metal bats moves there is endlag for them the thing is with metal bat they can use death blow within half a second of the move being done.
2. Second is death blow is able to be used during the wind-up of savage and brutal (during the time your able to hit them to cancel it) so if someone with metal bat knows what their during and doesn't fall for the bait then it would be really deadly.

holding block (blocking can disable stun on death blow but not decreasing any damage, you can block and then try to cancel the move because youre near them)
Speedblitz dropkick bypasses it also and this also applies to death counter
if you bait death blow you can omni derectional them!
You can also omni-directional deathblow
And you can block straight on in the same way

Extra useful tips not mentioned
To know if someone used death counter, if they start healing then you know they have used it since when you go saitama ult, you actually don't heal up but you only heal after you have used an ult move. (For saitama only)
For garou's ult you can actually punish crushed rock by forward dashing and looping around them as they end the move. The forward dash cancels it since crushed rock no longer gives I-frames if it doesn't hit anyone. (Just don't be too close)
So for sonic's twinblade rush, I suggest backdashing towards the sonic but not directly into them. This works since backdash gives slight I-frames for the first half of it making it so that sonics ult move does not hit.
Be careful with metal bat's ult, it's actually very deadly since you can switch to death blow from savage or brutal in the first half of the move. But like he said, to avoid this it's best to bait death blow first.

You can usually side dash into the sonic after his 1st move, also, Genos’ 3rd move makes him vulnerable the entire duration of the move unless it hits something, and garou can do final hunt (the move you need to watch out) as a true hit if he does his barrage first, regardless of if you have evasive, or not
Small edit: forgot to say that when you side dash into the Sonic, you usually get to m1 them for free, blitz kick can also be fully avoided to get damaged by with moves that ragdoll, including final m1
1:39, you can actually activate your ultimate to get out of the table flip, because you have no hitboxes in activation. In conclusion, you can actually waste their ult and then fight them without ult. Its just another solution if your not the best at dashing.
Saitama ult doesn’t give I frames sadly but the other ults do work.

Extra for Saitama. You are able to block the Serious Punch and Table Flip to not get the slow debuff you get normally. This is useful if the enemy doesn't have the knowledge of this which is surprisingly common. Also, Genos claps Sonic ult and using evasive gives very slight i-frames for Sonic's moves like Carnage and Straight On
one thing to punish twinblade rush is to side dash onto them and not use any moves that they can escape such as 2 m1s consecutive shove hit side dash and than normal punch bc its completly unescapble and takes a chunck out of their health
no, the way to reliably escape twinblade rush is to backdash to the side, if you sidedash your hitbox lingers and you dont go very far

You could also let them do the thunder kick and throw out 4 m1s, but hitting them with only the last m1, which completely knocks them over and does absolutely no damage to you at all, but it’s quite risky so you have to have it ready

here's 2 tips to make fighting sonic ult easier.
1. u can punish twinblade rush by ragdoll cancelling right after they kick u away.
2. if the sonic doesnt know what he's doing and waits for all of straight on's animation to finish, u got a lot of chances to punish them by interrupting them by using m1 or an AOE move. Heck, FRONT DASH AT EM!

You can counter sunrise with any base counter move
what i like about garou’s ult is you can use final hunt to counter a death counter,incinerate and death blow what i also do is wait until the enemy uses their biggest attack (something like table flip) and only then i use my ult since you’ll be invisible to damage plus you gain the advantage
You can actually just block straight on if i remember but if its from behind, say goodbye.

There are some things you missed about countering Saitama, metal bat and genos. Metal bat can be easily countered by a handful of ulti moves that either ignore or penetrate death blow. If a Saitama is trying to get you death countered, use your ult. Every ult besides sonic has one ability to ignore death counter, and they do insane damage. Some are even reusable as they have a cooldown. If you hit the awakening animation too, it's bonus damage. For genos incinerate, pop your ult if you are not a metal bat. Incinerate lasts as long as every ult animation besides metal bat and atomic samurai, who have a shorter ult animation and longer ult animation respectively.
Something that you forgot to talk about is final hunt which ignores death counter so if they're at 60% you can kill em if they have counter up. This works with death blow, atomic slash, incinerate, and flash fold strike. In other words, it ignores I frames.
i think i can add a few more tips for each ult :
saitama:
bait the death counter and never waste ragdoll escape thats basically it.
maybe try risking a combo by risking their death counter not being used.
garou:
side dash to dodge crushed rock and dash after they miss.
a combo can be done after that
genos:
just dodge speed blitz drop kick and flamewave cannon, if they use thunder kick then punch them or use a move that can cancel it.
if they use incinerate then bait them to miss, or use reverse psychology (reverse psychology used twice if needed)
sonic: theres almost nothing you can do, after being hit by twin blade rush, use ragdoll escape TOWARDS the sonic. you can get a combo if they arent careful
you can block straight on or just dodge it landing a combo will be easy if you blocked it, you wont get stunned and can combo them.
metal bat:
waste death blow as said in the video. then cancel all their moves. if they use strength difference then just side dash to dodge and dash into it, just like crushed rock
atomic samurai:
try best to dodge solar cleave. if you get hit, they will use sunrise, so you have to use ragdoll escape because it does a lot of damage.
to dodge sunset or atomic slash, just dont get m1ed, and you need ragdoll cancel to dodge atomic slash because you can easily dodge without getting m1ed but with m1s you need ragdoll cancel.

For Metal Bat's ultimate, be aware that if you waste your side dash before the Brutal Beatdown grand slam, then the user can do a 1 hit combo (Savage Tornado, Brutal Beatdown, Strength Difference). They can also activate Death Blow during the Savage Tornado and Strength Difference windups in order to bait attacks from skilled and unskilled players alike. Don't forget that, because the Death Blow miss AOE does nearly half HP to those close enough (and has dangerous ragdoll time), they can use Strength Difference to finish off the opponent if they haven't used it already. TL;DR: if you waste side dashes during Metal Bat ult, you're basically dead

saitamas ultimate: run a round a little bit, bait death counter or simply dont use ragdoll cancel so they cant omni you (if they table flip use a moving move and dash, its usually easy to escape if they slip up the slightest)
metal bat: metal bats ult moves have a large startup window, so you can interrupt, but they can can counter, so bait it at some point but for the most part RUN
garou: dodge and punish (if your hit with one combo its over, it doesnt matter if you dash out if they use final hunt, its clarified as hit and your pulled back in)
sonic: you cant basically do ANYTHING against this character, you can only interrupt their moves with ranged ones and if they use fourfold, go out of range or use a jumping move, the other best strategy (only in publics) go to a area with large bundles of people, they cant catch you that easily if your bunched up
(extra note, straight on can be blocked for no stun, fourfold can be blocked for slightly less damage, but you still will be stunned)
genos: dodge and punish, if they incinerate stand still and react (or use ult), the amount of time they have to aim isnt too long and you have second to react and dash out.
atomic samurai: This character can be punished but they can only rely on their ranged move, just keep moving
3:19 actually flame wave can be canceled unless they have already hit someone, just make sure they don’t hit anyone and you’re good to cancel it, if not then wait a bit since there’s end lag for the move
Flamewave cannon can be cancelled mid the damage if it hasnt hit anything, because it only gains s if it hits someone atleast once, however if someone is camping your s behind you you still wont be saved from that, but there is still startup frames that can be cancelled
heres a few extra facts (and corrections)
saitama
- when awakened, your health regen is completely disabled
- death counter lasts for exactly 10 seconds
- escaping table flip is kinda rng, depends on which direction you get flung
it also has a chance for the stun to be longer than usual
(also thought i'd leave this aswell: all of saitamas awakening moves bypass s)
garou
- water rock smashing fist is cancellable, as long as no ones being hit by it
- rock splitting fist also has the same function as water rock smashing fist (no one hit = no s)
- crushed rock is extremely predictable, try to dodge it with a backroll (or counter with preys peril/split second counter)
- if they have the final hunt available to use, don't use any moves that lock you in place but give s, the final hunt bypasses s completely
genos
- during the windup of thunder kick variant, you can use a ragdolling move (e.g. explosive shuriken, blitz shot, etc) and it will ragdoll them, not blasting anyone away
- speedblitz windup is actually cancellable (but it's way too quick to cancel)
- flamewave cannon is actually cancellable ANYTIME, as long as no one's being hit by it. you only get s during flamewave IF someone's caught in it
- incinerate flicking is counterable, at the end of the windup they cannot move their camera anymore for enough time for you to dash behind them
sonic
- okay realistically there's nothing you can do aside from accepting death
metal bat
- don't be greedy everytime with cancelling their savage tornado/brutal beatdown during their windups, those 2 can be cancelled by death blow and is hard to predict between players
- strength difference can be blocked for less damage (65% > 43%) but it's pretty much pointless to do so when you can just dash out
- death blow whiffed variant can be blocked aswell to nullify the ragdoll
atomic samurai
- just like sonic, not much you can do, aside from punishing them with sunset (or sunrise if you're lucky). that's the most you can do tbh
QUICK NOTE
saitama ult anim does not give the same s as every other ult anim. this is very useful against garou's and atomic samurai's ultimates because they bypass s; meaning that you can pop ult the moment you get hit by ult anim aoe and it will STILL knock you while also hiding you popping the ult
ok looking back to this this is way too long lmao
here is a little tip for omni directional serious punch:
first u would need to learn the ragdoll time for m1s (downslam the weakest dummy then count how long he’s ragdolled for)
another small tip, if a saitama user walks up to u and tries to ragdoll you, that’s because they are awakened, they also don’t regen so its easy to notice
second, if they do the 4th m1 with any variant (uppercut, downslam) then remember the ragdoll time and side dash without using your evasive just after you stand up so non-expierenced players will think you used evasive then they’ll try to omni u, so wait until they use it then side dash out of it.
Another thing to help with metal bat, idk if someone else has said this already
When they use a move like savage tornado or brutal beatdown, if you time it right, you can backwards dash into the attack, which stops you from getting hit. This doesn’t work with strength differnece and death blow obviously, but it’s pretty good becuase they deal a lot of damage

You can also counter genos thunder kick by using Garou's flowing water move and you can counter death counter by Garou's third move, Geno's speedblitz drop kick, and pretty sure atomic samurai's Atomic slice move also counters death counter.

Metal bat can be the deadliest ult if used right, due to how death blow works, you can use it in the DELAY of both savage and brutal beatdown and if you try to attack, you get death blowed, also about the save ragdoll thing, after savage, they can go for strength difference and if you use it on that, they can front dash, downslam, brutal beatdown you for free
One thing that u can do is when someone uses straight on. If they are running towards you, try to punch the player when they touch you, it would stop them and cancel the move.
You can cancel the thunder kick varient by using sonic its because you can either use exploding shuriken or wheelwind kick.
This video is kind of informative for new players, but even so it still lacks quite a lot of info about the moves, and I won't bother listing them out since they're already mentioned in this comment section. Maybe keep those in mind if you ever decided to remake this video in the future 👌
Another tip: if the enemy misses the thunderkick and the exploding startup is happening try using moves if you want to take 0 damage.
Ex: lethal whirlwind stream, flowing water, beatdown, foul ball, etc.
Also, a few seconds before Incinerate activates the fire, the charachter position gets locked, só once you see 2 circles appear on genos hands side dash to their back to avoid it
Advice for metal bat users who want to use the ult well is to get a distance from the enemy where they cant reach you during the startup, then use one of the first 2 ult moves. One sidedash should be enough for the 1 skill, which I reccomend starting with. For the 2 skill, sidedash then normal dash to not get hit during the startup.
For the last two moves, only use them if you know for certain that you can land them. Only use strength difference if you've landed the 1 or 2 without the opponent dodging. Death blow should only be used if the enemy is 100% not able to dodge out in time, or you're about to be hit.

OR, if you don’t get hit, try to get close when the sonic is using straight on, if you have a ranged move (like normal punch) try to hit them with that (miss variant) as it cancels out their move.
Twinblade rush is hard to avoid. if you have people near you and the sonic is going to use it on you. try baiting the sonic to make him go to the other player instead of you. (you can also use normal punch, scatter, etc (miss variant) on this like straight on). Also when they use twinblade rush. DO NOT USE RAGDOLL CANCEL IMMEDIATELY as the sonic can bait your ragdoll and use something like carnage in order to waste your dash. use it when you almost get hit by carnage or something like that.
for fourfold flash strike, just try to avoid it. you can easily m1 them if they miss.
for carnage.
Try either 1: before they do the animation for carnage, hit them before they do the move (or just do a combo for short)
2: try to dodge it as it is very easy to dodge
For genos flamewave cannon, you cannot hit the genos if the genos already hit someone with the flamewave (you can if it’s the starting animation), but you can also hit the genos if the genos misses and hits nothing.
Fun fact:In the older version of the game. Flamewave cannon had Iframes. Now in the newer version. If the Flamewave cannon doesn't hit anybody. It has no Iframes.
Bad news: if metal bat saves the death blow and use a move like brutal beat down or savage tornado, in case the enemy can try to cancel it, metal can quickly use death blow during the warmup
Fun fact : if you get hit by table flip if you’re not close enough to the edge and side dash into front dash won’t work you can alternatively use ultimate to prevent death (however this does not work with saitama ult since as you may know you can still get hit by something very quickly after ult pop)
When fighting saitama ult with genos ult, you can kinda “counter death counter”. If you are certain they use death counter, use and hit them with speedblitz dropkick. Its one of the few moves that can bypass deathcounter
Corrections :
Death counter lasts 10 seconds btw.
If someone lands a garou ult 1 then use 2 while you side dash, 2 still lands, it's a true combo.
Flameware Cannon actually has s, you just have to hit someone to get them.
Incinerate can actually kill a player, if your far : expect 20 - 30% dmg, but if your close or just exactly behind the attack, it does around 50 - 70%.
To fully avoid brutal beatdown, do not waste your evade if you got hit by Savage Tornado, use it immediately after the 3rd whirlwind, if you don't have it, Savage Tornado can confirm into Brutal beatdown AND it can confirm into Savage Tornado.

3:23 if you wanna counter incinerate without saitama ult, you can move around them till the last second, and sidedash behind them and they shouldn’t hit you
Another thing about countering incenerate: you can use your garou ult to completely remove it and if they use after you used there ult you can simply get rid of them with a simple final hunt
another thing id like to land on the metal bat; do not use your evasive on brutal beatdown unless they are about to throw you (and do the hit that removes like 50% of ur health) unless your opponent doesnt know how to aim that thing
More counters:
1- Garou ult 2 can counter death counter, every genos ult move, every metal bat ult move, and atomic samurai's ult too.
2-You can counter thunder kick's initial kick with split second counter or prey's peril.
3-You can counter garou's every move, but not the 2.
serious punch and tableflip can be blocked, when you get sent back with the push part of the move, if you were blocking you can move with normal speed, not being slowed
Bonus tips for sonic: his first ability can be countered with a simple normal punch. The shockwave will cancel his move. You can also m1 sonic in his second move if he gets close, completely stopping the move.
