This is very true about Dusty loving light bulbs.. lol fun story. When I got my first apartment the first night there they came over and dusty changed all the lights in my apartment to new nice led ones that were way brighter lol

Dusty is a sweet hubby. That makes me so happy for you. Life can be tiring at times but when you're loved and safe it's easy to keep stepping forward and I can see you have that in him.

I love how the two of you support each other. My late husband was my biggest fan and best friend - and I was his. He passed away last year at age 51. He was an amazing dad to our three kids and I can see that Dusty is an awesome dad, just as you’re an awesome mom.

Hello I'm a 60 yr old granny of 8 grands an 1 great grand son an a great grand daughter on the way. I love you channel, I have told all of the grands about you so they can be more frugal an learn more how to cook . I taught the basics but you do a great job. Thanks for putting yourself out there , little house is one of my favorites.

When my husband and I got married we lived in a camper on 40 acres and I called that my Little House on The Prairie. My boys were in Boy Scouts, so we were a camping family for 15 years and I loved it. I love your videos and meal plans/recipes. Thank you for sharing them with us West Tennesseans! Reading cookbooks a lot helps and then try to budget for ingredients......a new one just on youtube is egg roll pies....egg rolls, cream cheese and pie filling rolled up in a wonton wrapper....my grandmother was the best baker and cook....they used to have home dens back in her day where women get together and share recipes and knit and sew....she never wrote anything down except jam and jelly recipes...she made the most awesome peach and pineapple jelly....and best bread and butter pickles and tongue pickles made from water melon rinds....cannot find them here in the North much and I m scared to do canning ...So I look to order them on line....choke cherry jelly and elderberry jelly are my fave...again its lost to me because grandma never wrote things down....ty for sharing your easy budget meals....it s a great variety.
Dusty should do a video on how to pick the right flash light to keep at home, in car in case of emergency, for camping etc.

Do you have what people call dry land fish in your area? It would make a great episode if you showed you dusty and kids hunting them up and showing what people mistake for the edible mushrooms….of course cooking them up and eating them is awesome ! 😊
can i just tell you how much i love your channel? you first popped up in my feed because i was watching a lot of grocery budget videos and that got me hooked.
you just being yourself is enough! i first thought we would be so so different, but as i’ve come to watch your channel i found that we are much more alike than even i would have thought. helping fight food insecurity is one of my missions as well. dusty had the right idea, because you help literally thousands of folks with every video you post showing how to whip up something tasty on a budget, how to preserve food, or growing a garden. it’s a bonus that we get to learn about you and your family. and i find that so great because it’s just a reminder to me that we as people are more alike than we are different. you like all my favorite “old school” shows too! so now i feel like little house on the prairie has to go on my list as well!
ps if you get nervous about doing a live, just make sure you have a teeny bit of a plan going into it. for example, if you want to feature the boys and just be goofy and have fun you can play a game or something. that way you can just be yourself and having fun with the fam.

I am so worried 😧, now you mentioned how your sister passed. I have had issues w mine for years & bothering me a lot in the past two months. I didn’t realized the boys were homeschooled. They always seem so sweet & kind. I know they learn that from you all, but I think kids tend to stay sweeter & kinder, before they get around other little demons.
It was amazing getting to know you all. Ive watched almost all of your videos and love them. Wanted to know, since you are frugal in all areas, if you plan to make any videos that dont include food but explaining ways, tricks and secrets that you do things more frugally than others/most. We all know about the menu plan, shop with a list, dont eat out/buy coffee shop coffee etc, like tell us your frugal find secrets and tips, that you think are normal but others would think are weird or extreme! That would be so fun!

My husband and I lost our second pregnancy that day. I was 11 weeks pregnant. I will keep my baby and now your sister in my thoughts always!
