If someone made a video showing the rate the stock is dropping now and continue the trend and showed that in three months every stockholder would have to pay Tesla $3000 dollars for every share they have would you call it unbiased? Every can manufacturer is working on an electric car now and those are starting to appear. Like say Peugeot208e (random example). Is it better than Tesla? Probably not, but it doesn't need to be, it only needs to be cheaper and be available unlike tesla.
Not just the car. It's the Data, AI infrastructure. Level 5 self-driving. Robo-taxi. Solar roof, renewable energy. HVAC.

@@jakethesnake1503 There are tons of automakers trying to compete with Tesla. Some are trying harder than others, but no one is there yet. Keep your eyes on the German automakers.

Who else has a Nationwide electrical recharge grid already setup for vehicles? Tesla is not just a product. It's a platform. most people drive between 7:00 to 19:00 and recharge at night. Household batteries would work well with solar. Printed 3D Houses are lower cost to produce and can use concrete from carbon sequestration.

The only Tesla killer will be the genuinely affordable EV that still has decent specs. However, if the car that Elon is thinking of producing in China turns out to be the 'Model 2', the cheaper less good version of the Model 3 but at a significantly cheaper price point, then it's game set and match to Tesla. That still remains Tesla's weakness in capturing the whole of the car market, and the ICE will continue to be manufactured until EVs not only are cheaper over whole of life, but at the point of purchase. Then we'll see a total shift to EVs from ICE in as little as 18 months, akin to the horse and buggy to the car in the 1920s.
We are already over $3000 pre split. Now $618.50 x 5. Doubling in another 4 years?

i would understand that point of view, and i see the comparison because of speculation and following a "hot stock" or hype, but the only reason i would separate and differentiate between this is looking at the leader the captain of the ship.. whos the CEO? If you looked at jeff besos and studied him 20 years ago he already won even before he really took off.

Tesla sold 184,000 cars in the US in 2018, total numbers aren’t in but the total Tesla US sales in 2019 looks like it’s gonna come in around 195,000. The Model 3 accounts for 90% of sales and if the Model Y comes out this year that will be an indicator of the real growth of the company. The worldwide sales forecast from Tesla was for 400,000 cars but was revised down to 360,000 and came in around 367,000. The 2020 forecast is again for 400,000 cars, IMHO if they don’t beat that number by a substantial amount the stock will suffer.

how many years? because in 5 years they will have a fair value of 170$ if everything goes as musk has planed. (and so far musk has allways failed to fullfill his plans, allways. 0% succes rate)
@@PsyWu Look at the TSLA stock chart. 2010 IPO at $17 now 3000% higher at $510 and in 5 years it will be again minimum 10 times higher. I can't complain. :-)

PsyWu really? Tesla failed? If anything they succeeded. They built a factory in China in less than a year, they have massive growth, they have billions in revenue, it has made shareholders (like myself) a boatload of money. I am sorry, but I have to disagree with you.
@@davidroytman5845 you are unable to read what i said. i said that musk wasnt able to fullfill his quartal goals even once. he missed all of them, sometimes by far, sometimes close and even if you take his claims as a given and calculate the value of the company based on that, you are ending up with a company which will be worth 170$ per stock in 5 years and this only if you rate it like alphabet and not like a car manufactur.
One thing she didn't mention was Tesla may be a leader in manufacturing as well, they aren't now but they were just awarded a patent for a machine that's able to mold almost a whole body of a car in one process. Wait for the end of first quarter when the Tesla still shows that's it's still not profitable then buy when the stock dips.

Worth noting that ARK's 3 main ETF's hold Tesla as its No1 holding with the funds allocating 9-12%.
So I will take the prediction with a grain of salt. I like Tesla but I would like to see how it holds up when the market is not euphoric and credit is tight.
Have been thinking the same thing for a while. Automakers along with almost every business whose customers must borrow to buy their product get crunched during tight credit markets. Also much higher interest rates wouldn't help them either.
As of Q3 2019 Tesla has about 5.3 Billion cash on hand with revenue doubling YOY If the stock only maintains this price the convertible bonds would be exercised wiping out a big chunk of debt. Battery prices dropping and range keeps increasing with shorter charging times. ARK has been one of Tesla's biggest bulls along with Ron Baron. If Q4 2019 is profitable the price might move higher. Model Y crossover SUV will start deliveries this summer ahead of schedule and the tractor trailer later this year.
@@tofujiny Tend to agree but it probably worth noting that Tesla should probably be doing way better than it is. I mean the US is at full employment, interest rates low, banks are willing to lend to anyone again, wages are starting to get a good push. This is as good as an economic environment your going to get so I expect lots of orders, factories opening up etc...Its when things normalise and people decide I don't need to (or simply cant) buy an expensive new car is when things get interesting
@@dm8411 Tesla should be doing way better? What do you base that off, besides the irrelevant things you listed? They sell every car they make. And if something happens in a different economic environment, then by that logic, every other car company would also be at risk, which does nothing to help them catch up to their already lagging trail behind Tesla.
@@Rsmith420 Again i should stress I like Tesla and wish I could afford their car. Employment, wages and credit are not irrelevant, its what allows people to buy cars. Tesla doesn't really sell every car they make, they built and deliver every order they get; there is a difference. It will be interesting to see what happens when a mature second hand tesla market opens up. I agree that all ships rise and fall in economic times however it tends to hit some companies more than other and some do sink.

@@williaminus6545 you are absolutely correct, however the inflation that is now today is in medical, food, energy, insurance, and of course some not all zombie stocks that have stock buy backs whike closing operations. Deflation stagflation inflation then hyperinflation. In fact at this point in the cycle we are both correct. Defaltion in some things, inflation in others, as we are in stagflation with a destroyed fiat system it could stay the same for some time. My bet is it will not. If you do not belive trillions of fiat is not being pumped into the system then place your bet on deflation and a stable dollar. For my wealth I will bet on both for now, however in the long run hyperinflation will win! As far as Tesla is concerned, great company, great product, however pays nothing in dividend, and can hardly meet expenses or break even. Will its share price rize, as long as trillions of free money pores in sure, however any recession and it is game over. Place your bets with caution. Either way I win, best of luck !

Tesla could one day be America's #1 company period! In terms of market cap, you have AAPL, AMZN, MSFT and GOOG exceeding 1T market cap today. However, in this decade of 2020's, it is possible TSLA will surpass these companies by the end of the decade.

@@foam27 i think that guy in the WH is causing much turmoil and unclarity in the regulations aspect of autos. And even with that Tesla is still swimming.. and quite well, IMHO. their cars are getting cheaper and cheaper to buy and have more and more functionality. I think for USA mainstream car manufacturers, the one that seems have greatest potential is Ford. GM's Volt is ok. I think they would come in 2nd after ford. But seems like Ford is branching out by investing in inovative EV auto companies like Rivian. That could send a signal, along with the signal sent out by Amazon also investing in Rivian and pre ordering delivery Rivian EV trucks and vans.
That would give it a market cap bigger than amazon lol Not going to happen especially whenever this economy goes through a correction.

Back in the 70s GM sat around producing crappy cars year after year, while the Japanese were sending over these well-built fuel efficient Hondas and Toyotas. By the time GM woke up it was too late. Have they learned from their mistakes? Nope, it's probably too late for them to catch up to Tesla in the EV market. Sell GM buy Tesla.
