Well actually thats none of your buissness but I can assure you that the card has that watermark that people will like. Now if you will excuse me I have to return some video tapes
I enjoyed Genesys more than I did 3 or Salvation. The plot was a bit... Overly involved, but I didn't feel it had the lulls that you were saying, because even when the characters were talking, something was still happening, with with character development, or even elsewhere in the setting.
Saw T2 a few days ago again and even having that movie fresh in my mind, I still didn't think this movie was as bad as people said. Definitely better than T3 and Salvation.
I originally thought I was going to hate it. But I must say it's better than the last two sequels. My only gripes would be Kyle Reese's lack of subpsychotic rage and character seem to change a bit too much. Other than that, I enjoyed the story.
I think the trailers ruined it for everyone. I came in not watching any trailers or teasers or even looking up the movie posters. I loved it. It's like Return of the Jedi in its own trilogy. I accept this as the true third installment to the Terminator franchise. If The Empire Strikes Back trailer showed the Rebels defeated, Vader vs Luke Bespin duel and him being Luke's dad, everyone would've hated it. If Terminator 1 showed Kyle Reese's death, the destruction of the Terminator, Kyle and Sarah doing it, revealing Kyle is the father, everyone would've hated it. If Terminator 2 showed the destruction of Cyberdyne, T-1000, and The Terminator, how they were able to change the future, everyone would've hated it.
John, i think you are one of the best youtubers, and definetly the best movie reviewer out there. You seem like the kind of guy that i would want to hang around with, and that is a success on your part. i think this adds to your videos a lot and it is one of the many reasons i love your videos. now the last thing i want to say here is keep up the good work and pls dont stop making videos! :D ps: i am norwegian so pls excuse any grammar mistakes this comment may contain.
I really liked this movie a lot. I'm a huge fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Terminator. I gave the movie a 8.5/10 If I didn't watch the trailers I would of gave it a 9/10
benji6606 If you're a fan of the series, why would you like this movie lol? If this movie is already a 9 for you, what does that make Terminator 1 and 2?
Today is my birthday and this is the present I wanted all year. Thanks John! You are getting so much better with your reviews. You're so damn awesome. Do you get to see Emilia Clarke naked like in Games of Thrones? Just curious. Don 't ask.
I liked the movie actually. John Connor and Kyle Reese weren't the greatest but whatever. Sarah Connor was cool, And Arnie never disappoints me. My order from best to worst of the Terminator films would be... 1. Judgement Day 2. Terminator 3. Genisys 4. Salvation 5. Rise of the Machines
Honestly bro I think you did a good review and you're smart kid. How can you say that this movie sucked I thought it was fucking awesome . I've been a terminator fan since I was a toddler and I thought all the sequels sucked Compared to this . . They basically answered every question I ever had about Terminator in this movie the time machine the T1 thousand they connected a lot of dots and answer most of my questions .
theFLICKpick I think that's part of the fun, movies that spill all the beans are pretty boring. Disagree with your review. It was better and more terminator-esque than the last two by far. Jason Clarke did a better future Connor than Bale in much less screen time, but hey can't blame Bale for that. Genisys can't touch the originals though, no way.
Sean Burns I agree with you bro, if you didn't enjoy this movie, you're not a true Terminator fan. This movie had so many nods to the originals only real fans will get it and now I know what James Cameron meant during his interview for this movie. I loved it too. Not as good as the first two, but leaps and bounds better than the third and fourth.
Your argument that Jai Courtney belongs at a Disney theme park playing Gaston is perfectly spot-on. You made me laugh out loud at 3:15 in the morning. Thanks for that.
SPOILERS!!!! Is Arnold really now a fucking T-1000 just because he sinked to the fucking metal soup at the end!?? What the fuck were they thinking... And hey John Flickstenegger! Will you do a spoiler review/rant for this?
He said before that the liquid didn't work because it needed a cpu so when Arnold was about to die with only half of his body he used his chip to use the liquid metal to build around his body. It made sense to me...
kbg12ila It doesn't work that way, and it's not exactly a liquid. A T1000 is formed by billions of tiny little nanobots. Together form a collective AI. It doesn't need a fucking CPU. You can read Michael Crichton's "Prey" for interesting concepts on this matter. You will find a surprise in that book to relate with Genisys as well. Sorry about my shitty english.
I highly respect your opinion, John. I personally found it to be decent, if indecipherable. Unlike most, I very much enjoyed the recreation/reimagining of Cameron's Terminator in 1984. Great review Flicky!
I bought two blu-ray copies of this movie, but let me explain. The first copy I got was at 2nd and Charles and it was part of a buy 5 get 5 free deal they had around Christmas. The second copy I got at Big Lot’s cause it was $5 and it came with the original Terminator on Blu-ray.
I was pleasantly surprised. Many of the T5 haters fall into the following categories, so take their review with a grain of salt. 1. They were pre-determined to hate the movie. No matter if they secretly liked the movie, they were still going to write a bad review to appear "cool". 2. They probably clapped in the theatre, talked to their buddy about how cool it was, got home and saw the bad reviews, and said it sucked, just to fit in with everyone saying it sucked. 3. They didn't see the movie at all. Because the trailers were awful, they assumed the movie would suck too. They skipped the movie, and before writing a hateful review they looked up some half-assed plot synopsis for 'credibility'. Anyone can say "the movie was unoriginal and didn't offer anything new..." without even seeing it. 4. The plot was "very confusing for them", probably because they were too young to remember anything about the first 2 movies other than "I'll be back" and "Hasta la vista." Or they smoked one too many bowls before seeing it in the theatre. It wasn't very complicated. 5. The hateful hating haters will hate this comment.
Of course everyone is going to say T2 is their favorite Terminator movie. Although I do think Salvation gets a lot of undo hate. It may not be the smartest movie, but it's a hell of a lot better than 3 or Genisys and is a decent movie IMO.
Yeah i likes salvation too. Atleast it was different because it was set in the future. Im tired of seeing a terminator go back in time and do the same thing all over again.
It is funny, I didn't exactly race to see that movie after so many bad reviews, but when I finally did see it, with all that low expectations, I found it to be quite enjoyable.
I actually agree with you word for word about this movie. I believe there was no actual heart or sole in this new film. the first two was based on an actual idea mixed with personal fears and emotions and personal experiences by James Cameron. Every movie after that was just about "do it again" to make more money. If they can't get James Cameron back they need someone with genuine feelings about the story that they can personally relate to, someone to express a deep and dark aspect of themselves and use this energy to fuel the story as a form of self "Artistic" expression. THEN you will have genuine chance of bringing this franchise back. I still enjoyed the movie, but had to immediately go watch the first two again to bring the original taste back in my mouth.
My favorite Terminator movie is definitely the first one. Yes it doesn't have many one liners but it made the most sense for the character of the T800. Plus the romantic relationship between Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese is well done. But on a sidenote. Jai Courtney did a pretty good job in Jack Reacher and also in the Spartacus tv series.
I once read that movies always completely change the script they are based on (because of budget issues, studio/director complaints or rewrites) so if a movie is bad it's not necessarily the writer's fault. Like many action movies have many writers so the final product doesn't resemble the original idea at all.
I can agree to the fact that it's definitely very intricate to the point where it may confuse people . But I think if they make another movie it will make a little more sense like the biggest question that arose for me was who sent Pops and the Asian T 1000 .
I dont know what else people expects. This movie is better n I love TG just expected few more action at the ending, it even doing better at the international markets which is obviously good news for the production. I have been watching the all series since 94 and this one is perfect 3rd installments to me.
I agree with you completely. The movie just took all the one liners and other iconic ideas from the first two movies, had Arnold recite them for the sake of nastalgia, and then completely butchered the source material provided by the first 2 movies. It was a blatent cash grab and basically sucked on all levels.
When I first saw Jai Courtney being cast I thought 'Finally a good casting for him' expecting him to be cast as the bad terminator seems like a role he was made for!
there were parts that were kinda messed up, like the helicopter chase, but over-all I liked it. it was a reboot to the first terminator. think about it: the T-800 was sent back to save Sarah's life, and thus raised her to become the ultimate mother for John. most likely, John was raised with this T-800/1000.
John I completely agree with every single point you made about this movie! I love T2 and I tried to go into this movie with an open mind but it just felt like a CGI mess with bad acting(except for Arnold). I went with a few of my friends and they all loved it so I guess some people like it and I respect their opinions but I still feel like this movie was a huge mess. Oh and I'm a huge fan by the way!
Definitely agree the beginning was the best part. Minus the crap CGI, it was cool to see a different perspective on T1 events. Other than that this movie was pretty bad, but I still liked it better than 3 + 4, but not by much.
I just wanted to know what he thought of Matt Smith's performance in the movie. He was memorable in Doctor Who as the Eleventh Doctor but from an audience POV I give it at least a C+
I love Terminator Genisys. This is the perfect third installment so far. But I have also expected more action at the ending which other series. Hope in future they will take care of it.
Hopefully this new series of Terminator movies will get better as it progresses. Maybe this movie is just a warm up for better things to come. I'll never give up on this franchise.
I actually really liked the movie. I was one of the biggest haters of it since I read the plot synopsis up to James Cameron's approval of it. But after watching it and waiting for a bad moment in it, to make me hate the movie, I just didn't find it. I think Emilia Clarke and ( I never thought I would say this) Jai Courtney played their parts well. One thing I think people get caught up on are they want the characters to be the same as they've previously been done, but that's the thing, they're not the same. With the introduction of the Terminator to Sarah earlier in her life, she's not going to be the same as what we saw in the first movie, same with Kyle Reese, he goes from being this knowledgeable future guy, to essentially being on the same level if not a lower level to Sarah. So you're now getting a different set of characters that sure, don't fit in the previous universe the earlier movies fit in, but you're now getting a new universe that can, and definitely will be, explored. Yes, the plot's a little sloppy and could have been better, which could be said of every movie. But this to me is pretty solid, Everyone had their place, Arnie chimed in when needed, and the action was pretty decent. Tell you the truth, this felt close to an '80's action movie for me, and I really liked that. It's something I think we need, or at least I need. Granted this is all a cash grab because Hollywood is out of ideas, but I do consider this as my official third installment into the franchise. Would I like to see more? No, but I know it's going to happen anyway, so I'll stick along for the ride.
OMG YOU JUST COMPARED FAST N FURIOUS TO GENISYS!! This movie is awesome, right up there with T1 and T2. The plot follows T1 and T2 very closely and disregards T3. Sarah and John Connor was perfectly cast. My 2 minor gripes: Romance was a bit forced, and Kyle Reese was definitely not a good cast.
What do you expect from a time travel movie? How many times can they re-do T2 formula over and over? The story had progressed, it wasn't erased, the timeline skewed into a different tangent. In the first movie Sarah asked Kyle "you're from the future?" then Kyle said "one of many possible futures".
On a side note, FF6 was so hyped that I had dragged myself to watch it. Turns out it was only cuz of Paul Walkers death. Those were shit movies, Genisys was not.
theFLICKpick Sorry, Dtadeo2006 is correct. Idk what kind of movie you and the critics saw to be honest. I had alot of fun watching this film because it had so many great to amazing moments. Really? Why bash it when its trying to be its own work of art. Plus Arnold steals the show and is "Old but not Obsolete". I give Terminator Genysis 10/10.......
dtadeo2006 khanwarrior99 you guys are fuck tards, generraly I say "people can have different opinions" but not this time, this movie shat on t1 and t2 and as john said, it erased everything the previous movies did. this was a truly a horrible fucking movie
I watched Die Hard 4 in the movie theater and I had completely forgotten that Jai Courtney was in there. I just remember old Bruce Willis kicking ass in a confusing plot. But I had turned off my brain and enjoyed the explosions.
I feel like 1 of 2 things happened for this Movie: 1. A reviewer was doing an interview with the main script writer to this movie and this led to an argument which than led to the reviewer said "Me and my friends are going to shit all over this movie just watch" the guy didn't believe the reviewer... Until now. 2. These reviewers saw Terminator 1 & 2 and said "They're doing Time Travel and they're are going screw with my loves so Fuck them... I don't like this movie" Now this may seem like a fan boy crapping on people who don't like this movie.... But I haven't seen it and I've only seen Terminator 2. I have seen legitimate people review this movie say Action is good, CGI is better than I thought, didn't like Kyle Reese or John Connor actors, really liked Emilia Clark as Sarah. The trailer ruined the movie all in all 8/10..... This is a review not 15 mins of constant crapping on the movie, which is why I call these reviews in to question
John did the same thing. He said what he liked, what he did not and then gave his rating. It just so happens that he dislikes almost anything in this movie, thus: bad rating. The other reviewers aren't more legit just because they liked more. If they liked the action and CGI and the pros outdo the cons for them: great! But that's just theie opinion.
Terminator: Genisys - Ok, I finally gave in and watched it. Right away, it's not as bad as I expected, but it's still a heavily flawed movie. But first, the good stuff. The opening in the future war was pretty decent and promised some good atmosphere. Also, the part, where I kept my expectations the lowest were the most entertaining. I speak about the first 40 minutes in 1984. They actually were a nice tribute to the first two movies. I liked that. Also, Byung-Hun Lee as the T-1000 was better than expected and I was actually let down that they killed him off so fast. As a body-horror fan, I also liked the idea behind the T-3000 (man being transformed into a machine on a cellular level). I also dug the social message (men relying too much on machines). Arnold Schwarzenegger was easily the best thing. He stole every scene he was in and it was my favorite T-800 portrayal since T2. He even made me giggle 3 times. But he just seemed a bit too 'human' to me, more human than our 2 main characters tbh, which brings me to the flaws. Our 2 main characters, Kyle and Sarah, were just very unlikeable. Sarah came off as a bratty girl sometimes and Kyle Reese was a bit too 'strong' for Kyle Reese. The one in the first movie was smart, but also frail and vulnerable, and not some action hero with big muscles. And his rivalery with Pops was nothing more than forced humor. The generic score and over-reliance of CGI (the T-850 skeleton Reese fights looks fake as fuck) made the movie feel more like a superhero flick than a Terminator one. Some things were also just stupid (T-800 turning into a T-1000; a bunker door surviving a multiple building shattering explosion, but it can get stabbed through; Reese putting on clothes while the T-1000 is stalking them) and some of the dialogue and jokes were just uber lame. There also were some stuff which didn't make sense (Arnold survivied crashing into a helicopter propeller, Arnold metal arm doesn't melt away from the acid, while the T-1000 does). My 3 biggest problems however are: - The action: Sure, there was lots of action in the movie, but every action scene was too short and felt like you've seen them already and 100 other, better action movies. The Arnold VS Arnold fight was so anticlimatic. - The villains: We have 3 villains in this flick, the T-800, T-1000 and John Connor T-3000. Remember when they spend a whole movie trying to kill a T-800? Remember when they threw everything at the T-1000 and it just kept coming? Well, these get killed in less than 20 minutes in this movie. What a waste. And how about John Connor aka the Talkinator-3000? He has to be the lamest villain of the whole franchise. He can regenerate. Cool, the T-1000 also. He can form knives. Awesome, but the T-1000 also and he actually used it more. He's faster. Wow, so amazing. He's made out of nanocells. Looks cool, but it makes him actually less threatening than the other terminator models, because if you have a magnet, you can stop him a bit. He's just talking and talking and talking and talking (Arnold Schwarzenegger said it best: 'John, you're talking too much') and making angry and sad faces. He's no terminator, not even a throw-me-nator, just a talkinator. He didn't get infected and transformed by a T-5000, but by a TG-13. Instead of using his capabilities, he just talks his victims to death. He's one of the most non-theatening villains ever. He was more of an annoyance, because he was a bitch to kill, than a menace. Just like that Resident Evil Red Queen rip-off Skynet kid. He's also just talking and talking and talking. No wonder Skynet always loses, it talks too much. - The PG-13 rating: This one was obvious, wasn't it? This has to be the most harmless and light-hearted Terminator movie ever. The bleakness of the previous movies is gone (yes even 3 and 4) and the body-count was incedibly low. The talkinator killed 4 people, the T-1000 1 and the young T-800 none. Hell, even Pops killed someone (the dude in the truck surely couldn't survive the explosion and crash). The terminators weren't just threatening at all. They mostly threw (Throw-me-nators) and talked to their victims. Ok, we may get 2 impalings and some people get shot, but it's all bloodless (except for one moment, where John's lieing in a pool of blood for a second). The way they tried to hide the nudity was just very pathetic. The movie never gets boring and it managed to entertain, but if the best scenes of a movie are stolen, while the new ideas drag the movie down, that's not good at all. It's an alright action flick with a terrific Arnold Schwarzenegger, but, just like it's main villain, a lame Terminator flick. 5,5/10 And 'Bad Boys' in a Terminator flick... really?
I watched this movie in IMAX, after all the bad reviews! So I went in expecting the worst movie ever, but I was pleasantly surprised! It was fun! Does it touch Terminator 1 or 2 no! But I think it's the best Terminator sequel we've had so far.
Are people actually surprised that this movie was a piece of shit? From all the posters and trailers I saw it looked like a complete mess and it didn't sell me at all. I really have no interest in seeing it but if I'm bored and I see it on cable one day I'll possibly check it out. Hopefully it's the final nail in the coffin for this franchise... until they completely reboot it in 10 years. I'll just stick with the first two and try to forget any other sequels were made.
cmurphylife If you haven't watched it .. Don't say it is a piece of shit --' if you love Arnold and the terminator films you would actually like the movie. I enjoyed it a lot ! And every true terminator fan , will love to see another terminator movie. so SHUT THE FUCK UP and keep watching your 'cable tv movies'
Okay, granted, I haven't seen it. But like I said, the trailers did nothing for me, it just looks like shit and a complete mess. I've been hearing a lot of reviews by people I trust that really don't like the movie at all. I love the first Terminator movies but that's it. The last two were not good. I don't automatically love movies based on actors or franchises, that is stupid. How many chances should I give a franchise, especially if I'm not sold on the trailers? Like I said, I'll probably give it shot at some point but I'm sure as hell not running to the theater to see it. Like I said I can wait for it on cable in 6-12 months time.
So it did nothing for you in the trailers, what do you want them to do? Reveal the whole story line to you? If you're really a fan of terminator, pony up $10 and watch it at the movies rather than posting your opinion here. They're not making any more terminator movies when Arnold is gonna retire or die in your lifetime so just shut it and watch it.
I didn't think it was awful but it could've definitely been better. Also my favorite terminator movie has to be the first one, mostly because it's just so nostalgic to me, although if I had to choose between 1 and 2 I couldn't. I like them equally but the nostalgia of the first one makes it my favorite
Fantastic review. I agree with most everything you said. This movie had all the ingredients but in the end was only slightly above average with its delivery. Arnold was my one shining star. I liked the designed (but hated the backstory) of the new terminator and I enjoyed the relationship between Pops and Sarah. Everything else was convoluted nonsense
Pretty much what i was expecting. My opinions and your opinions on movies are so similar Flick pick which is why i value your reviews so much.Im a big Arnold fan but i think i will give this a miss and maybe Netflix it next year.Im not going to support bad Terminator sequels with my money any more.It will only convince them to make more of these things.
as a huge terminator fan I went to the movie at premiere, I had watch trailers so I kinda knew what was gonna happen, when I heard that terminator genisys will be +12 it speaks for itself for me, both terminator 1 and 2 are +18, they are violent, they are really scary, but now it is kinda goofy action movie, but... better than I expected, yeah it's still cheesy, but closer to original movies, I did not like actors either, but if you want a good terminator movie, make it +16 at last than, but if not you can just have average action movie
Considering that these characters would have been stuck in a time loop forever (just think about it), it's a good thing that Skynet decided to change the game and alter the timeline. I don't want to keep seeing the same story with ultimately the same outcome every time. Yeah the story ends up being convoluted, but that's what you get with Time Travel. Script could have definitely used some work though.
TERMINATOR GENISYS is the most fun i've had with a TERMINATOR film since T2!!! The REAL T3. I really don't get the bitching and moaning from critics about this film. Yes the time travel stuff gets confusing at times but film is still good!!! If I was doing a number score then I would give the film an 8/10 or letter grade I would give it a B. Go decide for yourself on the film and don't listen to critics. Audiences have been enjoying the film more. Also stay for the credits, there's an end credits scene. I enjoyed Arnold, Jai, Jason and Emilia. Cool action sequences and effects and IMO thought it was smarter than people are giving it credit for.
***** I didn't even know a lot of people hate Leonardo DiCaprio for Titanic. I thought he was pretty good. On a side note, I do like Man of Steel a lot, and thought it was a great introduction to the DCCU. Now thinking about it, with Will Smith, Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad, maybe they can overshadow Jai's performance. Let's see how it goes.
Fun fact:captain boomerang has a big role in suicide squad,is hard to work with, and fights one of the suicide squad members?will Smith would be a good choice to be in a rivalry
lol I agree this movie could have been so much better but I still found myself liking it. The biggest thing that confused me was the one "genisys" guy and also who sent back the original T-800 in 1973.
I totally agree with you. More specific: the fact that noone feels at home in this movie except Arnold. Emilia Clarke has a sweet Bambo-face, and is by no means the lean, mean "Che Guevara of soccer moms" ( (c) honest trailers) she was in T1 and T2. But the first 30 mins deserve more credit than you have it. It felt as if they really took the time to fill in some plot holes and inconsistencies from the first two films. Also, T5 is appealing to both legacy and newer audiences, regardless of the quality or originality of this movie. For instance, you needed to have seen absolutely zip from the first two movies to watch and appreciate Salvation.
In terms of Skynet as a whole becoming an app....I think it`s fine. The point is Skynet is going to hit everything. They still have access to the military and weapons so it would still fire the nukes, that is still consistent. They can just also completely devastate things by controlling cars and every bit of electronic tech that people might try to use. Obviously a lot of things I had some issues with. Ironically it was not the trailers. I actually avoided those (until Cinema Sins decided to show that in their Terminator Honest Trailers....thanks guys). I did wonder if they were going to pull a Vader and have John Connor still be in there somewhere. But nope....Skynet did actually manage to kill John Connor and use what was left of him to make a really tough Terminator. I thought the movie was solid. It was not amazing, but it was better than T3 and Salvation. Not quite sure what will happen with these films, but hey....the T-800 got upgrades.
Now I know not many people like Genisys but I really liked it (Say what you will). I loved the action scenes and I thought the script was not that bad, a bit bland but not that bad. Everyone keeps comparing these new movies too the original 2. Now yes they were amazing flicks and T2 is one of my all time favourite movie's of all time but we got to stop comparing them to the new one's. They will never live up to the original but for a new Trilogy it get's the story started so hopefully in the 2 sequels they will be much better. At the end of the day everyone is entitled to an opinion and mine was that I really liked it.
I still rather see a movie that happen as a prequel/sequel for salvation and judgements day. A movie that all takes place in the future. Show me how do you trap a t 500 without damaging it, reprogram it, then send it back. This could been a great film to see, it won't of messed with the time line, and made fan real happy
I only enjoyed this because of Arnold. He was my movie action hero throughout my childhood (late 80's and the 90's) and he really gives it his all in this and I still love him. the rest of the movie is def generic and ok at best. Shame, but when they had that "revealing too much" trailer, you knew it wasn't gonna have a chance.
I loved it. Loved the characters and development, loved the action sequences. It is definitely NOT a turn your brain off movie, otherwise you would get lost. I went in with the expectations that it would be an "ok movie" but it was far better than I had expected.
I've seen reviews for this movie that I agree with and disagree with (this being one I mostly disagree with), but everyone seems to agree about Jai Courtnety. I'd say this is the better of the non-Cameron Terminator movies.
Great review, right on the spot! Terrible casting, script, post, etc. Not even close to original Terminators, can't match James Cameron. It seems that actors, directors, writers get worse every year. There is a hope though in films like Ex Machina, Gravity, Pacific Rim. Thanks John, I wouldn't say it better myself!
In my opinion i enjoyed it i never expected it to be as good as 1 and 2 but was better than 3 and salvation a lot of people were hating on this movie before even seeing it and were always going to hate it no matter what but everyone is entitled to there own view mine is i enjoyed this movie and will buy it on blue ray.
I'm sorry but Terminator Salvation is underrated
New card. What do you think ?
The subtle off white coloring....
Patrick Bateman That's nice Bateman, but that's nothing.
Patrick Bateman Oh my god...it even has a watermark!
Well actually thats none of your buissness but I can assure you that the card has that watermark that people will like. Now if you will excuse me I have to return some video tapes
Fjolltzu HEY PAUL
I enjoyed Genesys more than I did 3 or Salvation. The plot was a bit... Overly involved, but I didn't feel it had the lulls that you were saying, because even when the characters were talking, something was still happening, with with character development, or even elsewhere in the setting.
They turned skynet the most bad ass computer program evr into a fucking app. This movie shattered my dreams.
Tyler Jacobson Really? a movie shattered your dreams? I respect people's opinions but damn you must have a pretty good life than. :)
I liked T3 more than Genesys.
Saw T2 a few days ago again and even having that movie fresh in my mind, I still didn't think this movie was as bad as people said. Definitely better than T3 and Salvation.
I know this is sad but my one and only life goal is for you John to reply to my comment.
Cmg573 You journey is now complete, live free now!
theFLICKpick lol such a great saint you are John!
theFLICKpick thanks man being free feels great. Have a good 4th. Also please make more videos on your other channel they're awesome.
Cmg573 Me too. I wonder if you're me sent back in time to yesterday from today to post that comment.

I originally thought I was going to hate it. But I must say it's better than the last two sequels. My only gripes would be Kyle Reese's lack of subpsychotic rage and character seem to change a bit too much. Other than that, I enjoyed the story.
I like how the camera zooms in on your face when you're explaining things
People will be talking about this in six months when they add it to their "Worst movies of 2015" list
+bob hamilton Good point, its already on my top 10 worst list for 2015.
It's on everybody's top ten. And thank you so much for replying to me, you and Chris Stuckman are my favourite youtubers
+theFLICKpick man i actualy liked it more then T 3 risse of machines and think is fun movie and Emilia is awesome in this movie
+Tiberius16 so true this wasn't so bad
masteraconhand
it is more disapoting because i realy wan't that this franchise continues with great movie but too bad that probably will never happend
Let the man have his day
benji6606 Damn if this is a 8.5/10 is T1 and T2 a 90/10?
T2 is 10/10 and T1 is 8/10 for me
T1 is 9/10 T2 is 10/10 TG is 8.5/10 for me.
The only person who probably cried watching this movie was Edward Furlong.
i have a problem with terminator timeline. How can Kyle meet John as little when he's the father to John? How does it start?
Today is my birthday and this is the present I wanted all year. Thanks John! You are getting so much better with your reviews. You're so damn awesome. Do you get to see Emilia Clarke naked like in Games of Thrones? Just curious. Don 't ask.
***** Exactly! Love the username.
***** YOU ARE AN F.B.I AGENT
Yes, yes you do
I'm still waiting for hollywood to give Kyle Reese some justice.
I liked the movie actually. John Connor and Kyle Reese weren't the greatest but whatever. Sarah Connor was cool, And Arnie never disappoints me.
My order from best to worst of the Terminator films would be...
1. Judgement Day
2. Terminator
3. Genisys
4. Salvation
5. Rise of the Machines
I will always love T1 & T2.
I'm actually going to watch Terminator 2 now, that will always be one of my favourite action movies, and I'm not even a big action movie fan.
Sean Burns The movie created more questions than answers...
theFLICKpick Not if you know your shit.
theFLICKpick I think that's part of the fun, movies that spill all the beans are pretty boring.
Sean Burns Terminator Genisys Full Movie 2015 - plus.google.com/115233884918460668709/posts/6La8XVK6YF6
I think a review for Terminator: Genisys would be best if said by Triumph. "It's a great movie... for me to poop on."
No he just upgraded
Sambe Ksist He is like T 800 + T 1000 for me ! He is like T 1800 now. :D
He said before that the liquid didn't work because it needed a cpu so when Arnold was about to die with only half of his body he used his chip to use the liquid metal to build around his body. It made sense to me...
Sambe Ksist I can't agree more with you... wtf were they thinking...
kbg12ila It doesn't work that way, and it's not exactly a liquid.
I agree with ***** on this one i actually liked this movie but that's just my opinion
Your impression of Arnold was great! It really resembled his voice. Thumbs up
I bought two blu-ray copies of this movie, but let me explain. The first copy I got was at 2nd and Charles and it was part of a buy 5 get 5 free deal they had around Christmas. The second copy I got at Big Lot’s cause it was $5 and it came with the original Terminator on Blu-ray.
The Mud Soup Charcoal Arugula is outrageous here !
Would you say it was better than T3 and salvation?
John, did you take classes in badassery or did it come naturally?
No thoughts on Matt smith in the film?
Just ordered the Taken trilogy on Blu-ray from amazon. I need help.
I liked them all except Salvation.
I agree with everything you said... and your Arnold impression is getting so much better, keep it up :P
What his channel be taken after that Google plus remark cx
Does arnold have a lot of screen time?
I love the idea of the resistance having a guy specifically to polish shoes.
Vedant Naik "I am old not obsolete" :)
Been a while since ive watched you dawg. Seems you've been making some gainzzz bruh!
Oh...
A- The Terminator
B+ Terminator 2: Judgement Day
B- Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
C+ Terminator: Salvation
D- Terminator: Genisys
I actually enjoyed Genisys quite a bit and would rank it above 3 and 4. Check out my review to find out why.
I just started the video and I already lost it at the "why do you cry?" Loool
When I first saw Jai Courtney being cast I thought 'Finally a good casting for him' expecting him to be cast as the bad terminator seems like a role he was made for!
waynethesexmachine True. He was quite fine in divergent / insurgent as villain.
I enjoyed the movie. Not as good as T1 and certainly not T2. It was WAY better than T3, and I liked TS.
T2- 9.5
T1- 9
TG-8
TS-7.5
T3- 6.5
Hey man!? You gotta get back to doing videos please! We miss you!
+rockybalboa101 Dan! what happened to your room? I would really like i if you got back doing more vids!
there were parts that were kinda messed up, like the helicopter chase, but over-all I liked it. it was a reboot to the first terminator. think about it: the T-800 was sent back to save Sarah's life, and thus raised her to become the ultimate mother for John. most likely, John was raised with this T-800/1000.
John you should definitely review Magic mike XXL, that would be a epic review haha
I just wanted to know what he thought of Matt Smith's performance in the movie. He was memorable in Doctor Who as the Eleventh Doctor but from an audience POV I give it at least a C+
You're the man, John. Good stuff, as always.
Spot on review, a part of my childhood died today when I watched this film.
My 2 minor gripes: Romance was a bit forced, and Kyle Reese was definitely not a good cast.
dtadeo2006 It followed the originals? It erased everything the previous movies did..... Why even go that route?
Is this better than salvation John? Please reply XD
I watched Die Hard 4 in the movie theater and I had completely forgotten that Jai Courtney was in there. I just remember old Bruce Willis kicking ass in a confusing plot. But I had turned off my brain and enjoyed the explosions.
Actually that was Die Hard 5.
Really? That many of that series?
Yep. They plan to close the series with a sixth one and they seem to be taking their time with it so as not to repeat the flop of 5.
When will you upload your ANT-MAN review??
I feel like 1 of 2 things happened for this Movie:
I don't like this movie"
Now this may seem like a fan boy crapping on people who don't like this movie....
Cody case If the trailer ruined the movie why did they still give it a 8/10?
deathsdoor07 you can watch it It's Angryjoeshow Review
My 3 biggest problems however are:
- The action: Sure, there was lots of action in the movie, but every action scene was too short and felt like you've seen them already and 100 other, better action movies.
And 'Bad Boys' in a Terminator flick... really?
I watched this movie in IMAX, after all the bad reviews! So I went in expecting the worst movie ever, but I was pleasantly surprised!
It was fun! Does it touch Terminator 1 or 2 no! But I think it's the best Terminator sequel we've had so far.
They pointed out that the military was going to use Genesys as well.
Like I said I can wait for it on cable in 6-12 months time.
cmurphylife hello
So it did nothing for you in the trailers, what do you want them to do? Reveal the whole story line to you? If you're really a fan of terminator, pony up $10 and watch it at the movies rather than posting your opinion here. They're not making any more terminator movies when Arnold is gonna retire or die in your lifetime so just shut it and watch it.
Btw, you're going to end up watching it 6-12 months time anyways, what point are you trying to make eh? You said you were a fan but who cares?
I didn't think it was awful but it could've definitely been better. Also my favorite terminator movie has to be the first one, mostly because it's just so nostalgic to me, although if I had to choose between 1 and 2 I couldn't. I like them equally but the nostalgia of the first one makes it my favorite
A good review which analyses the movie. Also the emotions and comedy was entertaining.
Ayyyye John !!! Wasssup man ! Just wanted to say your fucking awesome cx nice vid btw bro
Was waiting for this,
I've been waiting for you! *(In Arnie's voice)*
Now I'm kinda worried about Jai Courtney in Suicide Squad.
Yeah, but I just want the new DC movies to be good.
Still the third best in the franchise...
"Hey! 3 wasn't that bad!" Says me the only man that likes Terminator 3
T3 It's alright
Avis Murry i liked it as well.
Avis Murry If compared directly to this piece of shit movie Terminator 3 was actually pretty good.
Avis Murry I liked T3, though I did not like the speed of the movie. if they would of actually made it, 2, maybe 3 hours long. it would be awesome.
Love your videos man!
I have a question, where is captin Bruster in terminator 5 ?? You didn't see her die so oviously you'd see her in the next terminator.
i liked it, i mean it's way better than part 3 and 4. but from the start, i wanted the cast from TSCC, especially Lena Headey, could of been so good
In terms of Skynet as a whole becoming an app....I think it`s fine.
Good job man i go by wht you say about movies if i should go see them or not. Im a fan of yours.
Well actually John, people are going to be talking about this movie in six months...on their worst of 2015 list.
Hah! 😁
I personally really liked the film. This was Arnold's most likable T-800 since Terminator 2. "Protect my Sarah" 😢
I actually really liked your Arnold impression.
I want to visit the parallel universe where OJ Simpson played the Terminator
Lately, I've argued with people in other video comments sections about Jai Courtney. I don't know how anyone can defend his "acting".
