+ThatGuyThatLovesMovies How could you possibly not get them? And how do you know for a fact you were the only person to get them. Did you interview all 50+ people in your theater after the movie was over?
+Observer Alternative Well either I find things funnier than they are supposed to be or nobody understood the fourth wall breaks, because I was certainly the only one laughing at the X-men, X-Men origins, Green Lantern Jokes and other Easter eggs
+Raphaello Noack ''Graphic Novel'' is just a pretentious name for comic, that some hipsters use,in order to sound more artsy. If it has panels of images with textbubbles and tells a story, it's a comic.
I thought Deadpool was a fun time and really funny. The action was good. But I wanted more of a Kick-Ass vibe to it but oh well. At least this was a decent movie for the character.
bradley lemus Yeah, fox and the production team did what they could with the little amount they had. For fucks sakes Jack and Jill has a bigger budget.
+HAthatsjustlovely Kick-Ass 1 for me has far better action scenes, more grit, and better story. While I thought the 2nd one was decent, I guess you could say it's more relatable than the first. Which may be why you like it more.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Thank you for the R-Rated movie poster shout outs at the beginning of your video. Along with those movies, someone reminded me about The Crow series earlier today. I guess Deadpool will go down in history as being the "first R-rated comic book super hero movie" like how Christopher Columbus was the "first to discover America." LOL
an argument could be made that ryan reynolds' first appearance as deadpool was in blade trinity. hannible king was as close to deadpool as you could get without ripping off the chartacter
I just wanted to say thanks for all the fucking great and inspiring clips dude. It makes me want to do more stuff and practice my tongue twisting american. I really really REALLY loved the Deadpool movie but more then that I just fucking loved the cinema experience! I haven't been that entertained since the first Jurassic Park when I was a kid.
Breaking the 4th Wall is one of my favorite cinema techniques and perhaps the most fun thing about Deadpool---it's what makes the character so lovable.
"Just thinking about things like that makes me as hard as Adamantium." It's for moments like that I watch your reviews! And I agree, a rated R movie like this being such a success is hugely encouraging.
Hey john, Thank you for another awesome video! Thanks to you i now love movies more than ever before. i look forward to you getting 200.000 subscribers!! you are awesome!! Greetings from Amsterdam(the nederlands).
Yes, give the X-Men their costumes, especially Emma Frost. I agree 100% on this, infact add in some extra percents in there just so you know how much I want to see that on film
rdj as ironman tom holland as spiderman chris evans as cap jon bernthal as punisher charlie cox as daredevil hugh jackman as wolverine ryan reynolds as deadpool and countless more! marvel are so good at casting!
"You're about to get killed by a zamboni, in five minutes!" Mixed with that wide shot of the poor bastard crawling on the ice, I just laughed my ass off XD
Hey I was just wondering where a good place is to get movie posters?? I saw your video of your movie room and I was digging the movie posters you had, It looked sick dude .... Also your vids give me ideas of new blu rays to buy.... Just watched Road House the other night for the first time, what a great movie!
You are spot on about Deadpool. It's definitely worth seeing many times as there is so much going on & so much contrast between the 3-dimensional characters, deadpan Deadpool delivery of lines, and action that you almost have to watch it more than once just to take it all in. You are also right about the directing...amazing job of telling a great story of taking lemons & making lemonade on a galactic scale. It seems Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool. His sense of humor both on and off screen makes you forget that his characters are fictional. He's very good at what he does....even with Green Lantern, which had some great moments despite the convoluted and sometimes silly storyline (the animated series Green Lantern was infinitely better, but sadly, bit the dust at one season...Giancarlo Volpe did that franchise justice, IMHO). Anyhizzle, Deadpool is already being sold by Amazon and I've reserved my blu-ray, it was that good. If you haven't seen it, you should. It's funny, action packed, and is kind of like Person of Interest gone really, really awry.
The story itself was, as you say, a straightforward revenge flick, what made it special was the characters that were brought into it. Ryan's Wade Wilson was fantastic, and his supporting cast were damn good as well. Colossus has never been done better, bringing both the organic steel powerhouse and the gentle Russian artist to the movie. Negasonic Teenage Warhead might have been a new character wearing an old name but she too was a fantastic addition. The villains were... well... there but then their main role were to be foils for Deadpool so they did their job. They did get more character development than Ronan did, so there's that. If I were asked to describe it I'd say Deadpool has a lot of heart, many many hearts that Wade stores in a suitcase.
John, I have a question for you. Have you ever accidentally knocked someone out that you are talking to? I am sure an intimate conversation includes a lot of bobbing and weaving. An octopus has got nothing on you.
Very fun review! I really liked the movie a lot. Reynolds knocked it out of the park. Very unique movie which made it exciting. We finally got the Colossus we've all been waiting for. I would just like to see him a little more dominating.
never read the comic but loved the film, I needed the origin parts to really appreciate the characters and I agree everything was balanced just right to make an awesome and entertaining film
Flickinger you are one of my favorites... most of the reviews are passing me off for no reason including this one. why? everyone is saying breaking the "fourth wall". can someone tell me what is the 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th wall thank you.
I have too agree with you this movie is the best Comic book movie, in my opinion there are no bad scenes in this movie the movie is so well directed i can say this movie is perfect and i will buy it on B Ray when it comes out.
Rated R comic book movie Punisher Blade Blade 2 Blade Trinity The Punisher V for Vendetta Sin City Wanted Punisher War Zone Watchmen Kick Ass Dredd Kick Ass 2 Kingsman Deadpool Wolverine 3 Deadpool Part Two
John did you think the love of Wham! and other bands seemed a little reminiscent of American Psycho? Maybe I'm crazy but I felt like when Ryan was talking about "it wasn't until 19... did they really earn their exclamation point" that it was a nod to American Pyscho
I doubt that will happen because wolverine has been in so many of the x- men movies which are all pg-13 and it has already been established as a somewhat family friendly character. The best that could happen is wolverine apears in a deadpool movie
I would have never predicted that John would give this a lower grade than Stuckmann. haha I'm actually with you John. The movie was a bkast, but there was a point in the middle when I wishing for more action. Other than that, a flying success!
haha I lost my shit when that dude gets thrown from the rolling car into the freeway sign above and it makes that splat sound. Thought that was a funnier death than the zamboni.
I loved Deadpool. The only thing that really ground my gears was Ajax and his ability to bounce back from deadly attacks. Forgive me if I'm incorrect, but wasn't his mutation that he no longer felt physical pain? There were several points in the movie, such as when DP speared him through the chest/shoulder on the bridge, that Ajax simply wouldn't have survived out of trauma or blood loss. I mean, I hope I'm wrong and I missed something but that seems like a pretty big plot hole to me. I actually noticed the same thing with the strong broad (I can't remember her name). Not feeling pain would not make you impervious to mortal injuries.
The voice from colossus reminds me of the 90s animated xmen series colossus. Classic!
yup... lol
+Antonio Carter ikr
I absolutely never thought I'd see Stan lee dj-Ing a strip club
Also it's not rated R in Canada
Hahahahahahaha
Thank you deadpool!
It's a 15 in the UK and nothing's changed. America is a lot more strict with their ratings.
Colossus was my favorite character in the film.
Bet you liked the CGI on him, George.
+George Lucas "Jar jar was MY favorite character in Phantom Menace"said no one ever #almostruinedstorwors
+George Lucas Got any other favorites
+Damien Patrick Guys that was almost two decades ago. Let it go. Let the man die in peace.
yes
I was the only guy in my cinema who got all the fourth wall jokes lol
+ThatGuyThatLovesMovies i doubt that. it was highly apparent what was going on...
+Orion Maximus well I was the only one laughing at them..
+ThatGuyThatLovesMovies You probably went at a quiet time! I saw it in IMAX full of sweatys, opening night, and they ate all of that up.
Um Kingsman was an R rated comic book movie that came out in 2014...
2015.
Shit thanks man. I keep thinking it came out in 2014.
Tohofan122 no problem and I thought that too and it was coming out in 2014 but delayed until February 2015.
+Raphaello Noack ''Graphic Novel'' is just a pretentious name for comic, that some hipsters use,in order to sound more artsy. If it has panels of images with textbubbles and tells a story, it's a comic.
+doubleP naw it's a longer form of comic style content. like comic books r magazines, grafic novels r books...kinda. okay I obviously don't know.
Dude, spotify the "deadpool rap" from the movie when you workout. It feels glorious.
I want Stephen Lang as Cable for the sequel.
They should get Ron pearlman
+Goldenkosher saxybacon I think Dulph Lundgren is perfect
Are you kidding? Kiera Knightly!!!
+nvrules27 Fuck you I want Mel Gibson.
+Jon Stewart I'm pulling for Jon Hamm. Big guy. Older. Could pull off grisly, but also, hilarious.
V for Vendetta was also a R rated superhero movie though it's underated and not that popular.
Very unfortunate I love that movie!
V is more of a vigilante and not a superhero
MatthewLedZepfan He was heroish enough i aimed to save the UK from a power hungry goverment. Though he did kill people.
+Shawn Ception
He wasnt a superhero, he was an anti-hero/vigilante/terrorist.
+MatthewLedZepfan deadpool is not a superhero either
Ryan Reynolds IS Deadpool
I'm as hard as adamantium , that's going straight on my tinder
+sebastian corlene Its already on mine....
+sebastian corlene Did ladies or gentelmens like it? :'D I hope you really did it! xD
I thought Deadpool was a fun time and really funny. The action was good. But I wanted more of a Kick-Ass vibe to it but oh well. At least this was a decent movie for the character.
It had a low budget I really liked the movie but I wish it was a little longer
bradley lemus Yeah, fox and the production team did what they could with the little amount they had. For fucks sakes Jack and Jill has a bigger budget.
***** It was okay, but an embarrassing piece of shit compared to the mastery of the first movie.
***** k.
+HAthatsjustlovely
Kick-Ass 1 for me has far better action scenes, more grit, and better story.
While I thought the 2nd one was decent, I guess you could say it's more relatable than the first. Which may be why you like it more.
This movie might go up against with avengers. It is now my favourite comicbook movie. Super awesome.
***** who?
The blind lady "God I miss cocaine" XD best line ever
It was so good. very funny jokes.
Intro was the best part.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Thank you for the R-Rated movie poster shout outs at the beginning of your video. Along with those movies, someone reminded me about The Crow series earlier today. Am I the only one who thinks Flickpick look like "The British Villain"
+Shulk SAY MY NAME!
+JohnFlickster Francis
+Shulk I know right? I'm really feeling it.
.......... ........ ...... ... .. . nah.
+Shulk I guess so
Thanks John ! I'm so glad you're back.
Hey, a reviewer that didn't say it is the first R comic book movie. Good research, sir!
You forgot to talk about the end credit scenes a la Ferris Buellers day off! Not to mention we will be getting a cinematic Cable!
Tim Miller kinda ruined his reputation with terminator dark fate 🤣
Great review Flick! Keep up the great work
an argument could be made that ryan reynolds' first appearance as deadpool was in blade trinity. hannible king was as close to deadpool as you could get without ripping off the chartacter

+theFLICKpick I have watched many videos of your channel the sudden jokes you do make me laugh so hard.Great man
Is it me or was deadpool better than BvS?
I was surprised that you didn't talk about the ferris buller end credit since that's one of your favs
Great review! Thanks again for your humor!!

Yes, give the X-Men their costumes, especially Emma Frost. I agree 100% on this, infact add in some extra percents in there just so you know how much I want to see that on film

Amen on what you said regarding the X-Men! Thank God Marvel finally figured it out since they are releasing "X-Men '92" in March!
I love the scene on the free way. guy falls, deadpool says, "he was already there". something like that...better go watch it again.
Appreciate for the review John
JF, looking good there in black deadpool shirt. Also liked the Canadian jokes in the movie.

John, I want to see you fight about this on Movie Fights. The X-Men reboot with the original suits and Tim Miller on the helm, I mean.
The story itself was, as you say, a straightforward revenge flick, what made it special was the characters that were brought into it. Ryan's Wade Wilson was fantastic, and his supporting cast were damn good as well. I WANT THAT TSHIRT!!
Where can i find it?
I work at a movie theater and the fact deadpool says pick up your trash in the end credits is amazing
Awesome review...I loved the movie..btw can you tell me where you got that awesome dead pool shirt?
I'm only 11 and watched it with my uncle and aunt yesterday.Probably one of my favorite comic book movies.
Enjoyed the video cheers dude, subbed ;).
Loved it. Totally agree with you regarding the breaking of the 4th dimension. Was done exactly right.
John, I have a question for you. Have you ever accidentally knocked someone out that you are talking to? I am sure an intimate conversation includes a lot of bobbing and weaving.
An octopus has got nothing on you.
I want some discussion about the Cable rumor in a Deadpool 2 movie.
I love this movie it was so awesome
DEADPOOL vs Wolverine, if Hugh Jackmens up to returning!
Very fun review!
I really liked the movie a lot. Reynolds knocked it out of the park. Very unique movie which made it exciting.
We finally got the Colossus we've all been waiting for. I would just like to see him a little more dominating.
They actually did change Negasonic as her comic book iteration as different powers.
You pretty much described me and my friends' exprerience with this movie! Subscribed! :D
where do you get that shirt??....oh yea loved this movie!!!
I was hoping Deadpool would reference Ryan Reynolds in Blade Trinity as Hannibal King since they referenced Weapon XI and Green Lantern
never read the comic but loved the film, I needed the origin parts to really appreciate the characters and I agree everything was balanced just right to make an awesome and entertaining film
Damn you are right John!!!! This movie is great and Ryan Reynolds was perfect to play Deadpool!!! The humor was great along with the 4th Wall Breaks

alright, where do we get that cool shirt?
Good review. Deadpool rocked. I didn`t get tired of the flashbacks. I skipped Green Lantern.
I want to see cable in the next one and then for a third one do like a Deadpool vs Wolverine
That was the Best Comicbook adaptation I've seen for a movie
"Kingsman: The Secret Service" came out a year ago John...Rated R
at 20 years old im still waiting for my comercial break of happiness...
Good movie. The middle dragged a bit. Could have used a little less Wade Wilson, a little more Deadpool.
Dammit John wy'd you change offscreen?
I hope that because how successful this movie is. That hugh jackmans final wolverine movie could be a rated r movie.
I doubt that will happen because wolverine has been in so many of the x- men movies which are all pg-13 and it has already been established as a somewhat family friendly character. The best that could happen is wolverine apears in a deadpool movie
+Tanner Batman Its been confirmed the third wolverine movie coming out in 2017 will be rated R I think it will follow the story of old man Logan
+Aj Mungunda I stand corrected
I would have never predicted that John would give this a lower grade than Stuckmann. haha
I'm actually with you John. The movie was a bkast, but there was a point in the middle when I wishing for more action. Other than that, a flying success!

great TH-cam channel. But can I suggest something. Why don't you have a exercise and fitness TH-cam channel?
Where can I find that deadpool shirt
Adored this movie and couldn't be more excited for a sequel, it sucks that Spider-Man can't be apart of dead pool movies now tho.
Where Did you get the dead pool shirt

Good intro man, xD.
