this video remembered me of how much i love metallica :)
Having witnessed this concert in person, I gotta give it to Metallica. They played their hearts out to virtually a 'stuffy' crowd. There were some true die-hards in the audience giving them love but boy if I didn't want to smack around some people just standing there. Metallica- you gave it 200% as always. You inspire me.
Whoa there. This was a private corporate event closed to the public. Some of the most epic Metallica shows of alltime have been in SF especially since the Bay Area is their home. Dont hate dude
Metallica Forever!!!
15 Minutes 59 seconds of pure awesomeness !
It was awesome!!! I was there!!! Loved every single moment \m/
METALLICA!!!!..FOREVER!!!!!....
I love Metallica
Go Metallica!!!
This is why you have to watch ALL MetOnTour videos: because inevitably one of them does something hilarious that you will miss if you don't. For those too lazy to watch it all, check out: 1:30 James' pick rejects his clean playing; 3:26 James changes Seek; 3:50 Rob tells Lars about James' plans; 7:25 when James decides the Internet needs to sing along; 8:45 after James plays That Was Just Your Life instead of Blackened, he finally plays Blackened and Lars plays TWJYL instead.
this is what a true band needs to do!!!
show the fans their moments :D
METALLICA FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Metallica is just too awesome.
Keep on playing...I play your tabs every day. I play metallica gh at night. You guys are ROCK. The big four must live on!!!
For the 10,000th time, this wasn't a "Metallica concert." This was a tech convention. That is why every single person there is filming it with their phone or iPad and the like. They are all geeks.
THE MEMORY REMAINS SOUNDS AWESOME
love watching them jamming like this! more!
the best guitarist this world has ever had: KIRK HAMMETT.Se have a guy who deserves to be called a guitar god, he is!
WHAT I WOULD NOT HAVE AT LEAST ONE PRA PELHETA HIS FACE! He is my idol!
good to see 'tallica still like a bit of old school punk, the stuff they used to cover a lot.
lars' drumming is excellent, he is my inspiration for music, and i would die just to jam with him on the drums
thanks man you're a life saver
Awsome! thanks for posting!
James! NAWWWWHHH!!! THE GOATEE! IT GROWS AGAIN 0.o!
Amazing!!
it must b awesome to b in metallica they got so many badass songs to just jamm on
Man this kicks ass.. Like really kicks ass.
Wow they sound so much better when they are rested. This is one the best performances I've seen of this song.
James vocals are SO perfect here!
Oh. My. God. All I have to say is that the performance was fucking METAL! Thanks for paying attention to the forum and showing a little more of the behind-Lars cam! Fucking great! Lars was fockin' creepin' on during the DIE section! Great performance!!
MetallicA es amor
Australia loves Metallica !
nothing beats the san diego show in 1992. Now that was a fucking killer show and awesome crowd. chicks with their tits out, beer all round, no fucking phones/cameras/pods or pads and everyone going absolutely insane.
Metallica Your my lord!
Even in the tuning room, Robert Trujilo looks ferocious!
Oh, and you gotta admit, the starting Creeping Death riff sounds pretty awesome, clean!
@TheImaginableUndead They are at the top of the heap for thrash and metal in general.
people are so busy getting videos for youtube, they forget they are at a metallica concert!!! cmon now! i'd be rockin out
I went to WonderCon there. What an awesome place to have had a concert!
@Caboose1117 , there were people banging their heads instead of holding iPads... this event took place at a Conference, where not every1 was a metallica Fan, but when the event ended, they became 1.. That is the power of metallica...
and yeah, I was Here when this concert took Place... Metallica Showed the world what they are the best.. Super thrilled to see people who said Metallica, i m not a big fan Saying after the event, Now that was some pretty damn good band... I love metallica now..
METALLICA!!!!!!!
Guys...Music is about the BAND and the MUSIC! not the crowd! who cares if the crowd is "lame" anyways? just dont pay attention to the crowd and pay attention to Metallica like real fans would!
This is a revolution
kirk is the most normal guy in metallica :P but i love them all, kirk my favorite guitarist. and METALLICA IS THE BEST! !m!
I think that the best crowd were in the 80´s and 90´s today it´s more a familiar show.
Anyway Metallica is the best, keep rocking!!
blackened! fuck yeah I love that song!
METALLICA!!!
two white guys, a filipino, and a mexican!!!! can't get any better than this!!!
Best band ever. period. goodbye.
@WhiteZilla117 The crowd was a bunch of techs at a conference. The reason they are not moving around and making noise is because THIS WAS NOT A METALLICA CONCERT. Most of those people don't know the songs.
When James pointed the mic to the cam, I started singing along.
This is the gig that Kirk got them to do, it was a neighbour of his and this was the summer bash for the company held at the Moscone Center. Hence why most of them are probably clueless about a Metallica gig!
They need to release all of their unreleased record songs...and all of these tuning room videos. I'd buy them :D
I love that along the side there in related videos, we got heaps of Metallica, a Kyuss song and then one by Susan Boyle...wtf? :)
Fuck all the haters. Metallica will always be legends of heavy metal \m/
I want to see them live so bad!!
power
You guys should really consider uploading these MetOnTour videos in HD. It's 2011!!!!!!! However, I will be seeing Metallica in better-than-HD on the 14th at Yankee Stadium!!!! CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!
I don't know what to say, they are all great!
@pwnslay
Hey, I'm a 3d artist so I spend my day in front of a computer in an office full of geeks as well, but when Metallica came to town I went to see them and went so crazy that I came home with a burning throat and a whiplash!
@shoey3062 these guys are REAL METAL. Shame you can't recognize that before Bullet for my Valentine and whatever other band you think is real metal, Metallica ruled the air and still rocks even today.
Blackened in the air. Sounds really cool.
wow thats awesome i feel like im actually there with them!
Excellent
I really love that LEs Paul :D
and so are you man thanks
Love the drums at 12:43
The drums sound awesome in this video!
@GuitarManiacRocker I soooo agree!!!!!!
@0591angel siii!!!! Viva México!!!

Epic power no doubt
Awesome dudes :)
15:22 Look bottom left like 4th person in the row in front! its that guy u always see XD what a good fan he is! Metallica you need to meet this guy lol
pretty cool playing by Lars here! I love the fact that I can hear his drums here ;)
Can someone please slap james, lars and kirk in he face and let Rob crank that bass up, he's too good to be drowned out.
I envy the man/woman behind the video recorder. In the same room with Metallica and recording this... \m/
they look so happy :)
@whwisback2 James' ESP Explorers
They are all based upon the standard ESP EXP series and were built or overseen by Matt Masciandaro. Meanwhile the EXP series has been replaced by the ESP EX standard series which has a sharp shape for its ends and headstock instead of the old EXP series which was comparable to the rounded shape of the Gibson Explorers.
Great performance, really energetic!
Never had the opportunity to see Metallica live D:
The tuning room segments are almost in a way better then an actual concert clip. I never really cared for memory remains, but like the tuning room version works!
to cool
They did this concert in a seminar about cloud computing and stuff so basically everyone over there was a hard core geek
Sempre potenti.
what fun
Thank you Ulrich for sharing your vid :) More Power to METALLICA only if you guys are Immortals live forever hehe so that you can play for the entire generations to come... men now-a days are getting soft with all the freakin pop and lady gaga songs playing on radio... ROCK IN ROLL \m/
this song sound amazing live
I think i am in love.....
@CoryI I agree with ya!
james' voice is really good here
1:41 "the pick jumped outta my hand" LOL
@TheGrecik
hi there Grecik (;
So the guitar in the practice at the beginning is a ESP Eclipse and the other one in the concert is the ESP Snakebyte i hope i helped you ;D
started listening to metallica in the early 80's,knew them before most even knew who they where,stopped after they sold out after the black album
yes metallica your true fans remember that!!!!
but hey for the almighty dollar,you proved the very thing you was "against"
welcome to the coperation SELL OUTS.
and who the hell? another bassist?
not even remotely the sound you once rocked
\m/ amazing
oh my god i've never seen a crowd like this before.
I is Metallicunt! Metallica is bestest, bro! way best, bro!
Gibson!! ♥♥♥
Im gonna do the whole set on my clean sound.
Just to mix it up a bit.
hahahaha gotta love james
NOBODY BEATS METALLICA!!!!!!!!
Hell Yeah! Last Caress!
Guys for all the prog metal heads out there, type in "Thorns Of Eleven" in the search bar. It's a band Black Atom Reign!! It's live studio video. They/re fucking talented And need attention.
@karadewe I was there and it was crazy. Some guy was standing off to my left with an iPad over his head trying to record it and people kept knocking into him and he was getting pissed. There were all kinds of Salesforce exec types in suits in the crowd who were taking in their first Met show ever and it really damped down the crowd vibe.
By the end of the song, though, a bunch of cats in met shirts surged to the stage and we had our own little crowd within a crowd going.
